Older Zens don't support AAC, which is the format iTunes uses for songs.
You can convert from AAC to MP3, which every media player under the sun will play. Here's a tutorial: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-12519_7-10096807-49.html

my iphone 5 syncs with itunes but the music, movies and TV shows DO NOT. icloud if off on pone and store. Both itunes and phone have latest app/operating software. Please help. Thx!
Connect your device, select it in the left-hand column, then change the settings on the various tabs to sync the media content your library to the device. Anything already on it may be removed. If that would be a problem see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

My apple ID was disabled so i had to make a new apple ID, But the disabled apple ID had all my games on it. Is there any way we could enable my disabled account?????????????????????????
If not this:
Why do I see the message "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons” when I enter my password?
This message means that someone was unable to sign in to this account multiple times. The Apple ID system will disable the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You'll need to follow the instructions on My Apple ID to reset your password.
Otherwise, contact iTunes:

Hi at the moment my ipod is on manual sync mode. Is there any way of changing this to auto-sync without losing the music on my ipod or library? Possibly more importantly is there a way I can transfer the ratings from my ipod onto my i-tunes?
This is so I can delete music from my ipod knowing its rated on my i-tunes so I can then see later if I want to re-add it based on its rating
ThanksIs there any way of changing this to auto-sync without losing the music on my ipod or library?
Unfortunately there is not.
Possibly more importantly is there a way I can transfer the ratings from my ipod onto my i-tunes?
Not without the help of third party software such as this one:

In the process of reformatting my macbook pro, I saved everything but my keyword list. The keywords are with the images, but the total list I use under "Keywords" is not present. Is there a way to re-create all my keywords I've used over the last 6 years.
I accomplished what I needed last night. I remembered I had picked my favorite images from each year and put them in a "favorite" folder by year. These folders included 500 to 1200 images per year. I pulled up the folder for each year and highlighted all images and clicked on "Keywords" and all keywords used for all images were listed. I made those keywords persistent. It took me a while to realize I had to click on each keyword to make it persistent. After doing this for all years, I assume 95% of all keywords I have used over the many years were back in my list. I'm sure there is probably a more "technical" way to accomplish what I needed, but this seems to have worked. I also exported my list into a word document and is saved on my hard drive.
If I had not made folders with my favorite images for each year, I could not have used this method, so if you figure out a better way, I like to hear it. Thanks for your comments and willingness to help. -

I had to replace my hard drive on my MacBook and iTunes was not backed up. All of our purchases were recovered, but we are missing music that we now have only on other devices (iPad, iPod and iPhone). Is there a way to recover music from these devices? Also, the missing music on the MacBook that is on the iPhone is greyed out so I can't play it. What's the deal? How can I change that?
BTW- I am going to purchase an external hard drive to make sure this never happens again. I'm am also discovering other missing very valuable data. I'm considering investing in iMatch, too.Try PhoneView: http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
iTunes Match is not a backup strategy. Do not rely upon it for disaster recovery. For that you need to use Time Machine or "clone" software. -
i just bought an apple tv and it wont stream music from my imac. when i click on the apple tv music icon it accesses the itunes store and brings up only that music i have purchased from apple instead of all the music i have stored in itunes on my imac.
The music icon will only access your purchased music. You need to go to the computer icon. It must be on and running iTunes, and home-sharing enabled in order for it to be accessible to Apple TV

Playlists aren't showing under the music tab on my ipod when using Itunes.
So I bought a new Ipod Nano the other day and I wanted to create folders and playlists manually so I can organise things to the way I like them.
But every time I click 'new playlist/folder' it appears under the device tab instead of the music tab like it had done before.
I have my settings set to manual and I don't want to sync things over because when I do that, it wont let me organise playlists or folders.
So can someone tell me how I can fix this and what I am doing wron?. Or if this is just an annoying new feature of the new itunes?I have this problem too. When i remove all my music, I am able to click on the music tab without a problem. This leads me to believe that iTunes isn't able to handle all my music? My laptop is fairly new, with an i7 processor and 8gb ram, so the computer is definitely not the problem. Any ideas? Were you able to fix it yet?

When in connect my iPhone5 to my MacBook, the songs I purchases from the iTunes store transferred over, but the songs I imported from CDs into iTunes did not. how can I "synch" over those imported songs into my iPhone?
You have to connect and select iPhone in iTunes under DEVICES (Left panel), select Music tab (right top), check Sync Music, and all the music you want on iPhone then tap Sync button (bottom right).

I am unable to hear the songs I purchased on my iPhone 5. The songs skip. I have already had my speaker replaced. Now most of my purchased music will not play.
In your original post you wrote:

After a restore I had to do because my phone froze up, I am no longer able to hear all the music I purchased in the past.
Are you saying you are not trying to play the music on your iPhone? If not please describe the problem in more detail. But this does not change the fact that you've posted to the wrong forum. This forum is for iTunes Match trouble shooting, which your original post does not appear to be related to. You will get much more effective support help by posting to the correct forum. -
I cannot view the music I have on my Ipod in Itunes
I have bought a second hand Ipod touch and there is still a lot of music on it but I cannot make any changes to it in Itunes.. I have read other discussions about this but the tips there do not help. I cannot view the music at all altough the system recognizes that the songs exist..
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Setting and Content. The media on the iPod does not transfer with the iPod hardware. The owner of the media does not have a licence to transfer the media to you.
Then sync your own media tot he iPod. -
I Tunes has lost quite a large proportion of my music library. I think this may have happened when I tried to download a previous version of ITunes that failed to load. Whatever, the music is still on my IPod. Is there anyway files on an Ipod can be transferred back into ITunes? Or is there any other way I can try to recover my music files? Also, I no longer have any confidence in ITunes ability to store data efficiently and wonder if there is any way I can back up my IPod outside ITunes?
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 -
How do i transfer all the music i have on my iphone to itunes?
i had to restart my whole computer so i had to redownload itunes. so now i am having trouble putting all the songs and apps on my iphone back onto my itunes.
The music sync is one way only - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing : File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
