My plug-in for headphones wont work

okay, the thingy that you plug your head phones in mine wont work.
the last couple of months its be like skipping, its like its scratched inside.
whenever i moved the jack a certain way it wouldnt work, and sometimes when it did only one ear would work.
now lately it barely works at all
usually i can manage a way to place it for it to work but not anymore, its stripped down is what i think.
and the thing is i cant use the speaker cause i got the old headphones.
my warranty is used up cause i got this ipod last christmas.
what am i supposed to do? :S

Bite the bullet and pay for the iPod Touch to be repaired by Apple. It's cheaper than a brand new one, and at least then it will be fixed.
The problem is probably some heavy scratching or bent metal inside the mini port (the headphones port). Unfortunately, there's no "EASY" way to fix this, and chances are, Apple will just send you a refurb back anyway.

I've only had my macbook pro for 3 months and now the headphones wont work. I was wondering, is there a way to fix it on my own? If I were to go to Apple, would they fix it free of charge or do I pay? How much would I pay?

Since I updated to firefox 5.0, the windows media player plug in for firefox doesnt work anymore :(

Ok I recently upgraded to firefox 5.0, and then when I went to a website that uses windows media player to watch videos and news reports, it said I needed to download the windows media player plug in for firefox. And yet I had already done that in the past. So it directs me to the plug in for windows media player 11, I download and install and it doesnt work. Website repeats the same message, you need to download plug in. It was working fine with firefox 4.0! I use the OS Windows 7, 64bit. Any help please?

Yes I did, at first it identified it as already there, so it gave the option of repairing it, etc, so I uninstalled the Windows Media Player, then Installed it again, and it still doesn't seem to work! I have the same problem with several other plug ins, in the add ons and plug in section of Mozilla tools, I see that say, "incompatible with firefox 5.0" but as days go by those add-ons, that are built by those other websites seem to be repairing it, but I wanted to know for something as important as windows media player plug in, am I the only one getting this problem? :/

Plug-ins for Release 2 work for Release 3?

Anybody know if the plug ins available for Release 2 work on Release 3 of Grid Control? I was just wondering if I was limiting my plugin capability if I upgrade to release 3 or not.

Plugins (usually) are backward / forward compatible (unless otherwise documented).
Apart from looking at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/oem/extensions/index.html, you can also look at Note 412431.1 (the certification matrix) to view the plug-ins to EM version match.

Iphone headphones wont work, damaged hardware?

I don't really know if this is the correct place to post this but well..
I've been using the standard Iphone 5 headphones for a while now until recently they stopped working as they should, won't play/pause using the button thingy on them. So I tested them on my friends Iphone 4 and they worked as they should. So just wondering if I've damaged the hardware in the phone somehow or changed any settings by mistake

I'm having serious problems with Lightroom plug in for Facebook not working on my iMac. Help!

It started about a month ago with LR4. I kept getting problems with not being able to publish to Facebook because of problems with the plug-in which had been working perfectly up to then. I had a run round that worked by disableing and reloading the plug in. I upgraded to LR5 but the problem persisted and in fact just became worse. I can no longer publish to facebook from LR. I deleted the LR app in facebook as someone advised but now I cannot re-authorise with Facebook. When I go to the "connect" buton nothing happens. This is a serious problem that may make me reluctantly abandon Lightroom if I cannot find a solution. Can anybody help?

According to the Lightroom Facebook page, Facebook broke it and Facebook has to fix it- there is no ETA.

Can't get plug-in for Acrobat to work in Safari (boy I've tried!)

I've spent literally hours in the discussion group looking for an answer to this and can't find one that works, so I finally decided to post a new topic.
I just moved from a Powerbook G4 to a MBP. On the G4, when I brought up a PDF file from a web page, it brought it up in Safari with the Acrobat tools around it (print, search, etc.). I liked that. On the MBP, it just brings it up in Safari with no tools around it - kinda like Preview. I know I can ctrl-click and get a limited menu, but I really want what I think is the plug-in.
I've tried reinstalling Acrobat, the plug-in, etc. Also messed with the internet options in the Acrobat preferences (i.e. "Display PDF in Browser Using", etc.) in every type of combo you can imagine. I've messed with the MIME settings for QuickTime for a pdf file image in the QuickTime System Preferences. I've turned "Enable Plug-Ins" in the Safari Preferences on and off in different combos with everything else.
Nothing I do makes a difference. No matter what these settings are, it still brings up the PDF in Safari with no tools or options around it. I thought I should at least get things to react differently (not necessarily the way I want) with all these settings changed in different ways, but nothing changed any behavior.
This makes no sense to me. Maybe it does to you? Is the Intel platform making a difference? Thanks for taking the time.

I use The Schubert|it PDF Browser Plugin, which is free for non-commercial use.
If you are interested in experimenting with your MacBook Pro, you may want to give it a try. Since it is a plugin you can install/remove with ease.
First Quit Safari, and then remove the AdobePDFViewer.plugin from either the ~Library/Internet Plug-Ins Folder, or the Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Folder@, and reserve for replacement if you deem necessary. Then install the PDF Browser Plugin and fire up Safari to give it a try.
@The placement of the AdobePDFViewer.plugin in the wrong plugin folder may explain why it is not working for you. Mine is in the Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Folder

The iPad has a standard 3.5 mm jack. Any pair of headphones with a 3.5 mm connector should work.

a) Will 32 bits plug –ins like Magic Bullet, Twixtor, Trapcodes, Boris etc work proplerly with 64 bits Adobe AE CS5 ?
b) Inversely, will 64 bits versions of plug –ins like Magic Bullet, Twixtor, Trapcodes, Boris etc work proplerly with 32 bits Adobe AE CS4 ?

So i click on a youtube clip or something it comes out of my computer even if i have headphones
if i click on audio at the bottom right of the screen, click mixer it comes up with headphones and speaker i click on headphones it come up with steam friends but if i click on speaker it comes up with system sounds and steam friends
cant figure this out
,but these problems seem common with these envey pcs

I see that you have some issue with sounds playing from the speakers even with headphones connected. Try this link to a third-party site, it will show you how to set the default audio device. Set the headphones as the default and the sound will go through headphones and when you remove it will go back to the speakers. The link is for Windows 7 since I you didn't mention what OS you are using. If you are using Windows 8 just search for Control Panel on your tile screen and then to go Sound and the rest of the steps will be the same.

Headphones wont work on a PC

I have been trying to use my iPhone 4 headphones at school to listen to music and my headphones dont seem to work with any of the PCs. I get a sound coming out that sounds like the headphones are blown but they work just fine on my phone. Anyone have this problem and know a solution? I would rather not buy new headphones just for the PC.

The headphones can be used with any normal stereo headphones jack. Are you sure you're putting them in properly?

How to get Livecycle Service Discovery Plug-in for Flash Builder working in 4.6

Does this work in 4.6? It worked fine in 4.5, but I'm not having much luck getting it up and running in 4.6. Adter installation, I can see the connect to Livecycle DS option under Data, I can log in to the livecycle server and search for services, but when I try to pick a service and hit next, nothing happens, no errors or popups.
Anyone else see this?

Is there a way for the Sitegrinder 3 plug-in for photoshop to work on OS X Maverick

I am receiving an error message when trying to run the MediaLab plug-in (Sitegrinder 3) within Adobe Photoshop CS5.
Message: Could not complete the SiteGrinder 3 command because there is not enough memory (RAM).
I have already tried adjusting the memory allocation in Preferences and performance to no avail, anyway, I know memory is not the issue, as I have already eliminated this. Can anyone suggest a fix, outside of creating a new partition and running an earlier OS X on that as well? Any informed solutions would be appreciated.

There are a number of posts on the issue in the MediaLab forums with no apparent solutions. If you're already on 3.6.2, the most recent version, you'll probably need to contact MediaLab support and ask them for assistance, or run on an earlier version of Mac OS X.

If you want to simply do a 'fresh' install (versus wiping out all of your data and doing a 'clean' install) simply boot to your Recovery partition (hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and when the Recovery screen appears, elect to freshly install OS X.
Don't know that will solve your problem, though... did you do the 'automatic' update or download the update as a disk image (.dmg)? I wouldn't think that would be causing your problems...
