My post counts is wrong

Now that the Forums speed problem is solved for me, I'll ask a question I meant to ask since we changed to the Jive Forums.
My post count was reset to zero when we switched to Jive" Clearspace. Is there a way for the Admins of these Forums to "recover" my real post count since 2002?
I remember, I changed my screen name at that time to ReneG, would it have cause that?

Yes, I remember that too. And I did it (whatever it was); and I remember at the same time I did that thing, I changed my screen name.
I can see if I had changed my email address, I would probably loose the old counts, but I didn't change it.

Posting count

I lost nearly 500 previous postings and my posting count did start at 0 two months ago.
Is this a problem only of my account, or had all discussion members to restart at 0?

A large number of problems this time around are caused by the fact that Apple has switched forum software from Web Crossing to Jive. The Jive forum software has a slightly different feature set and some of the features common with Web Crossing are implemented differently. While Web Crossing easily allowed posting cumulative post counts, Jive is set up to display online post counts, so the developers either have to construct a work-around or they have to wait for Jive to add the ability to display cumulative counts.
Custom avatars is another feature that supported by Web Crossing but not by Jive, although Jive has said they expect custom avatars to be added in an upcoming update or upgrade.
While switching to Jive will be beneficial in the long run, the switch has caused short-term problems, and the developers are working on them. Although the new forum was tested before launch, including some users, there was no way they could test it under full load. When the new forum did go live under full load, there were some serious performance issues and these were the issues that the developers concentrated on.
Finally, omitting post counts has been suggested in the past (as well as not displaying or even getting rid of levels), even when the cumulative counts were given and I know of forums that have stopped displaying counts, including some that could display the actual totals.

Depreciation posted for the wrong asset class

Hi Experts
An asset was posted for the wrong asset class. Invoices for this asset were already posted and depreciation was posted for several months. Now we realize the mistake and want to correct it. How can we reverse the origanl documents including the depreciation and post it to the correct asset class accounts?

Hi Ofer,
you can transfer the depreciation to the new asset. Why you want to reverse th edepreciation?
Generally depreciation can not reversed. If you want to reverse the depreciation you can enter depr. key "0000" and make a repead run. In that case the depreciation will be reversed (posted oposite) for alle open fiscal years.

Post Count not Displaying Correctly

My post count was somewhere over 2000+ posts before the forum change and now it's 1/10th of that at 289... another poster, I see, has over 200,000 which seems rather skewed. If the web developers who did the change can verify the post counts with a simple query of the actual records based off my user account then they'll see the actual record count doesn't match the number showing up for me under a post.

Um... Yeah, thanks for the reassurance Mr. Smarty Pants. I guess I was not clear enough for the non-technical minded among us... Using my own account as an example I was trying to point out that there's still a bug with the way the new forums query the data from the database and it's an easy test to run a query based on the number of actual records that come up for my user account... the physical record count should be 2000+ and not 280.
As well, it's very difficult with this current forum format to tell that I'm not logged into it... I was showing as logged into the general Adobe site as indicated at the very top-left of the site by the 'Welcome Chunick', but apparently I wasn't logged into the forum section which was indicated by a Login/Register line of text just below the black Forums header that was in a light blue which was not only hard to catch, but also not indicative that I need to login to the Forums separately which is new with the new forums. Now it seems pretty clear since I worked it out, but it was a bit confusing at first, to be sure.

Find: hard link count is wrong for /:

I am facing this problem.
I just installed arch linux on one of my box and I have got this error message if I do find on the root:
find: WARNING: Hard link count is wrong for /: this may be a bug in your filesystem driver. Automatically turning on find's -noleaf option. Earlier results may have failed to include directories that should have been searched.
I have searched through the forums and I found threads which discuss the same problem happened on /proc. But in my case it is /.
After checking the link count for /, I didn't find anything strange.
"ls /" shows 16 subdir in /.
"ls -ld /" shows that / has 18 hard links.
Is this a bug with find?

I seem to have find the reason from the findutils bug report mailing list.

Although find made me aware of the issue, the message it prints could be more useful: it doesn't show an accurate location of where the incorrect count exists (instead, it seems to use the path that you gave to find on the command line),...

Fixing transactions posted with the wrong currency rate.

Looking for the best solution to fix transactions that have been posted with the wrong currency rate. Transactions with System Currency (SC) and Local Curency (LC) have been posted with the wrong exchange rate. I am looking for best practice to corect each transactions. I have noticed and tested the "Conversion Difference" feature in SBO. This feature does help me change the exchange rate between SC and LC but for an the account balance on a certain date. I am looking to change all transactions from Jan01 to Jan 31 for all GL accounts. Is there a feature to do this?? You help is greatly appreciated,

I don't think there are any options to FIX this problem by out of the box function. Because all financial transactions have been entered to the system already, you have to reverse all of them and repost those transactions with the right exchange rate. No shortcut available.

I understand that you have an unread message counter, but your mail account indicates all mail is read. This usually means that you have an additional mail account setup. Check to see if you can access this account or change mailboxes and clear the unread via the steps below.

Post Count Back - Points Next?

Post Counts, and also Reply Numbers are back. I wonder if "Points" will make an appearance, or if they are gone, along with "Salamis?"

I don't really agree with Claudio (Claudio please don't get offended )
I think points mean quite a bit on the other hand the fact that somebody ask some question one time ago is not that relevant.
Of course combining the date and number of posts does have some meaning but one does see some people (not myself ) who have quite a posts any never answer any body.
I think the points give a competitive element to the forum and encourage people to participate and answer
IN SHORT
A combination of
1) Posts
2) Points
3) Date joined
should keep most people happy
Stars are in my opinion left best in the sky but also wouldn't do any harm as long as there not in place of the 3 above.

Curious change in post count...

For the longest time, my "Total Posts" was exactly one number higher than my "Total Posts Online". I understand why this is and that is not what I am asking.
Today, I looked and my "Total Posts" and "Total Posts Online" are dead even.
Did an old post get bumped back into the system somehow?

After the last change to new forum software, there was an offset in post count that could be significant to people who had a lot of posts under the previous version. I think my offset was about 230 posts more than I really made. In the last couple of months, they seem to have corrected this as my current post count is more in line with reality. It's possible that, in the process, some newer accounts saw a little correction too.

Smart Mailbox Counter is Wrong

Kind of strange, if I create a smart mailbox to show, for instance, only emails which have arrived today, the counter at the top of the box is wrong. For instance, at the top it says "(4 messages)" but there are only 2 messages in the window.
I tried rebuilding my Inbox, Trash and Sent boxes but that didn't make a difference. (Although I did get a very strange result from the rebuilding... hundreds of emails I long ago moved to other boxes for storage, or deleted, were restored and marked as unread. As a result I don't want to try that again.)
Message counts in other non-smart mailboxes, ie, Inbox, are correct.
Any thoughts?

Got from other post the following instructions. After following these steps my problem is solved. Hope this works for all of you:
Quit Mail if it’s open.
In ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData, delete any file that begins with “Envelope Index,” such as Envelope Index or Envelope Index-shm.
Your home Library folder is hidden by default. To display it, choose Finder > “Go to Folder” and then enter “~/Library.”
Open Mail.
Mail creates new Envelope Index files. This process may take a few minutes, depending on how many messages Mail is reindexing.

We did the Goods Receipt and the FI Document is as follows:

The Material was issued to Cost Centre
Later at the time of Excise Invoice posting, we came to know that the Tax Code in the Purchase Order was wrong. Here in our case, we have created separate Tax Code based on Excise Percentage. For example, V1 for VAT 5%, E1 for VAT %+Excise 10.3%.
To post the excise invoice, we changed the Tax Code in the Purchase Order and did the Excise Posting as follows:

Here my worry is the all the postings have been made in SAP in Production Client.
The User has already done the postings for MIRO & J1IEX without informing to us, and the volume of transactions is huge.
We are in the back-log mode and at this stage, we can't go for any reversal . I am Just exploring the alternatives.
Our MM & FI Users are little bit smart, when ever they do some mistake, they simply say "we will pass a JV" and we are not able to educate them that the JV is not a Solution. Please guide.
