Let us first look at the possibility of pile ups of preview files, conformed audio files, and conformed video files.
For Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 8 64 bit (should be the same for version 12 as well if on this operating system)
1. Check Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disk to determine where the scratch disks are directed and how much free hard drive
space is available at the location(s).
2. If default locations...
Preview Files
Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/11.0/Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder.
How many preview files there?
Conformed Audio Files (cfa and pek sets)
Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/11.0/Media Cache Files Folder
How many files there?
Conformed Video Files (.mcdb)
Edit Menu/Preferences/Media and its Media Cache Database area and Clean button.
Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common
How many files there?
Based on your answers to the above, we will plan what next.

Adobe Premier Elements 10 has stopped working error message/Audio issues

I'm working on a project for about a week. I almost finished it, "shared" it to my computer, and watched it thru windows media player. I thought of something else that I could add to the audio, so I went back into the project in PE10 and put small (2-3 seconds) audio clips on audio track 3. Once I did that, PE 10 would not allow me to put any audio effects on that track. (I went into some older longer projects that I have and it allowed me to put effects on any audio track).
So, I moved my short audio clips to the Narration and Soundtrack tracks. It finally highlighted the App;y button for the audio effects. Now, the problem is that I can't play or click onthe timeline or move the timeline indicator without PE10 closing out of my video. As soon as I try to do anything, it says "Adobe Premier Elements 10 has stopped working" and it closes the program.
I can open my other projects and everything seems to work fine on those and it doesn't close out, but it won't allow me to do anything in this particular project.
Again, I have been going into and out of the project for a week and all of the sudden it won't let me work on it. It's only about a 3 minute project, so I don't know why it would have trouble.
Oh, and it also un-rendered everything.
Any thoughts?

Macbook Pro having trouble shutting down/waking up

Okay, just to clarify, yes my Macbook Pro is 4 years old, but I don't think I've done anything to it that would really cause this.
My problem: First, when I boot up, sometimes I get a "Please restart your computer" message as the screen turns from blue to gray. It often takes at least 2 times before I can actually log in without a problem. And recently, I've been getting that message while I'm booted up... but only a couple of times.
Then my mac has also been having trouble shutting down and waking up. When I click "shut down" it takes a good, long while for it to shut down, if it does it at all. Again, recently I've had to just hold down the power button to get it to shut off, which I'm sure isn't good for the computer. And if I shut my Macbook, as in putting down the screen, it makes that noise that happens right before the "DING" (that little shifty noise... I can't really describe it) several times while still shut. And when I go to open it up to get back to what I was doing, it won't wake up unless I press the power button, but sometimes I have to restart.
Is there something horribly wrong with my Mac or is this normal for an aged computer? And is it fixable without having to Archive and Repair (I really don't want to have to go through that again, especially now that I really need this computer)?

First question, how much free space do you have on the Hard Drive?
If less than 10 GB you're asking for trouble.
Have you booted off the Install Disk by holding the *d key* down at boot-up, (not the c key), and run the extended Apple HW Test? Some Install disks require holding the Option key at bootup to select the AHT. Some Macs came with separate AHT CDs.

1. Insert the Tiger Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.

Since downloading OS X Mavericks, my computer has been shutting down midway of starting up. Please help! The problem began after downloading the software free update. Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

Itunes Has To Shut Down

my brother sent our computer to a reset point and i had to un-install Itunes. Now when i try to re-install itunes it completes but then comes up with a message saying Itunes has encountered a problem and has to shut down. It also says about sending an "error report" which i have done but nothing has come of it. PLEASE HELP people

My iMac has been shutting down abruptly

My new iMac has been shutting down abruptly the past week and after that I have to wait several minutes to try and see if it will turn on. At first I thought it was overheating, but even after being on less than an hour it shuts down. Does anyone know the reason why this is happenig? Oh, and I was just browsing on the internet, there were no weird programs runnig and the anti virus scan says it's clean.

Have you tried holding the power button down for several seconds? I would try the force quit as mentioned earlier first, or go to the Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities and try force quit there.

Two days ago, I loaded Light Room 6. Today I went back to Light Room 5. LR 6 corrupted an entire folder of images, and caused errors on my Raid 5 causing win 7 to run "Chk Dsk" and fix the errors to the operating system. LR 5 has not shut down for the last 5 hours. LR 6 has a serious bug. Anyone else experiencing this problem. Yesterday I was on tech support, waiting for 3 hours, finally they picked up and informed me there department was closing and someone else would call me on Monday. So, I'm working today and all day Sunday to make up for the down time using LR 6.
I don't know if the bug exists in the program or the "Creative Cloud.
Question: Does anyone know why if I bought Light Room 6 [NOT Light Room CC with the monthly rental], I have to enter my serial number if I want to use it?

Entering the serial number is probably part of the registration process.

I am trying to access Organizer in Premiere Elements and it just shuts down the programme. I tried reinstalling the programme but it just does not let me get to Organizer. Now after reinstalling, it does not let me into the programme. It just keeps on asking me to sign in. Once I sign in, it just goes blank. I checked my registration online and it is already there. What do I do apart from tearing my hair?

Macbook Pro has been shutting down unexpectedly

My MacBook Pro (retina 15 inch) OS X Yosemite, which had been very stable since purchased in late 2013 has been shutting down unexpectedly in recent weeks. Sometimes it's caused by Excel or Quicken, other times, it's a mystery. And the whole computer crashes, not just a program. What could be causing this recent behavior?

Premiere Elements 12 Opens then Shuts down

I just purchased Premiere Element 12. I had Premiere Elements 11 running fine and just uninstalled it prior to installing 12.
Install went fine, no errors, but now when I open Premiere 12 it shuts right down on me.
Looking in my Windows task manager I see that Elements opens but then shuts down.
I have installed the 64bit version.
I am running Win7 Ultimate 64

Please provide following information :
What is the Graphics Card installed on the system ?
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
How much Ram do you have ?
Do you use any external Hard Drive ?
Are you using security software e.g. Norton, etc
