I am wondering why this may be?
I just bought the program like 1 week ago too :-(
Any ideas?

What kind of adjustments are you making? Where are you looking for the previews? If you're using select list of filters or color adjustments, have you enabled 'Preview' in the dialog box?

All hyperlinks are not working when published

All of the links work on iweb 09; however, when published some of the links are not working. To get an idea of what I mean you can go to the site, thinkwhatif.org and see it. Would someone be able to provide an answer how to solve it? I have unlinked and relinked too and that didn't work (at least the one time I did it).

It's a layout issue. Two of your buttons (who or what) are in the navigation part of your page (nav_layer), which is back layer of your page. In your page, the content (body_layer) overlays the bottom of this layer (nav_layer) where the buttons are.

Show layout (iWeb > View > Show layout) and replace the buttons in the content. As you can see , you 've got also a empty textbox in the content

My flash links are not working when it is www request

We have done one application for the mobiles..in that we have used flash xml menu. In my xml menu i have mentioned the urls with www. request.
When its http://www.xyz.com menu links are not working.
If its http://xyz.com my menu links are working fine. Can you please suggest me once how can i achive this.

Links in pdf doc are not working when viewed in Reader 9, but works with Reader 8

When I view a pdf document using Reader 8, the links in the document work. However, when another user views the pdf document using Reader 9, the links do not work for them. Any suggestions?

Are they hyper links or are they spelled out (http://...etc)?
If they are spelled out, it could be because the person using 9 needs to select "create links from URL" in Preferences>General>Basic Tools.

Prompts are not working when we call another report from the narrative view

Hi,
In my dashboard i need a table view report which should have scrolling option only for that section.
For this i added a html tag <iframe ........scrolling="yes"> in the narrative view and i added that narrative view in the report.
Now,it works fine in the dashboard.
But when i apply prompts in the dashboard the values are not filtering even though i added the "is prompted" filter condition in the criteria of both narrative view section and the called function.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,
since you have created an iframe dashboard prompt wont work on that report.Same is the case if you put the report in Embeded content.
One possible workaround is to creaate a dummy report having columns same as that of dashboard prompt.Put all the columns is prmompted in this report
(No need to create dummy report if you already have those columns in some other report,You can use that report also)
Then go to your Iframe report and use "filter based on other request".In this way dashboard prompt will filter dummy report and based on dummy report values your iframe report will also filter.

Captivate 5.5 project -links are not working when i publish to the IE server

I was wondering if someone had a solution to my Captivate 5.5 project with external links.
Here is my problem:
I have a page that has an external link that opens another window.
For some reason the window will open in preview. However, when I publish to the IE browser it does not work.
Does someone have a solution to this problem? I saw some verbiage that stated adjusting something swf file. I don't quite understand were to change this file. Is it in Captivate?
Any information you have is greatly appreciated.

It looks like you need to trust the publish folder location as a trusted location in your Flash Global Security settings.

Formlevel Validation properties are not working when stitching the XDPs

The form validation settings are not coming in merged PDF document.We are using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 9.0
We changed the Form Validations settings, 'Configure how Acrobat displays validation message boxes', to 'Don't show any message box at all' in our XDPs. It is behaving as required when we tested them in individual PDFs.
In our project, it is required to merge these XDPs to a single PDF document. We are stitching the XDPs using the assembler by providing the DDX file. We are getting the default behavior , 'Show every message........', it is showing error message for each field.
Please help us to corect this.

Hi Poornachandra,
I tested the same formula in my environment for uploading the videos in Site Assets library, however the validation worked fine.
This error may be caused by some other reasons. Could you please provide more error message in ULS log for further research?
To narrow the issue scope, I recommend to test the validation formula in another library and then upload a video to the library, then compare the results.

Satellite C850D - keys are not working when trying to log into laptop

First I would like to say sorry for my lack of computer knowledge. My C850D is only 2 months old, last night it was working perfectly... this morning when I turn it on to type in my password not all the keys would work.
I got a little angry and just reset the laptop. Still not working and even after that.... any advise to why my keypads no longer works.

The warranty should be valid if the notebook is only 2 month old

Hooked functions of APIs: IntenetReadFile, etc coded in the Browser Helper Object (BHO) are not working when registered in portable IE-7.

I developed a BHO for IE in which I am hooking API's such as IntenetReadFile, InternetWriteFile, etc using MS detours library. I registered the BHO in
portable IE-7. It gets registered fine and other components of the BHO work fine (such as BeforeNavigate2 event) but the code in hooked functions never gets executed. The
BHO works fine in any normally installed IE but due to specific reasons (which are not necessary to write here) I need to work only on older and non-updated versions of IE, which are nowhere to find.
So somehow I got this portable IE-7 which was perfect until the above mentioned problem occurred.
So what could be going wrong with the portable IE-7 and is there any way to fix it?
My problem would also be solved if anyone could tell me how to get older versions of IE (IE-7 or 8) which are non-updated. Updated versions include patches for various security vulnerabilities, which is the reason I am looking for non-updated ones.

Right-Clicks are not working when burned to disc.

Hi,
I need to use some right clicks in my course.
They work when I publish the file to my desktop or Server (unchecking 'Enable Accessiblity' and using 'Flash Global Settings'), however when I then burn the files to disc to give to a client, the right clicks do not work.
The course is made in Captivate 5.5 and is published to Flash 9.
Any ideas??

Some software instruments are not working when midi controller is plugged in for logic pro x

So I have made a track and I have been using my midi controller. Some instruments work when i record on the track. But if i change to some other instrument i.e. the vintage organs, then it won't work. I have bypassed all control surfaces and it still hasn't worked.

Some of the vintage organ patches use different Midi channels.....other than Chan 1 for other registers... Example Chan 3 might be used for the pedals... and Chan 2 might be used for the lower keyboard/register of the organ...
Check your keyboard to see what Midi channel it is actually transmitting on and set it accordingly....

Simple interactions are not working when I preview

I am creating what I thought to be a simple interaction.
Here is what I have.
- Slide is set to Pause on Enter and Pause on Exit.
- I have 5 smart shapes used at buttons that will show a group of objects when clicked.
- 5 Groups of objects are hidden on enter and show when commanded by clicking on the smart shapes (mentioned above).
- Each group has an "X" button that hides the group when clicked.
- Each group and button is set to infinite attempts.
- Each smart shape is set to display for "rest of Slide" and "Pause after 1.5 sec."
Problem:
When I preview the slide Either from "from this slide" or "project" it doesn't work properly.
- All buttons work, but only for two clicks. I can click any two buttons, but then none of the buttons work after 2 clicks.
- After a few clicks and after buttons fail to click all objects disappear. I thought that I solved that when I told it to "Pause" on enter and exit.
Any idea what could be the issue?

Hyperlinks are not working when I convert MS PPT with notes to PDF

I am using MS Powerpoint 2010 and have some hyperlinks throughout the presentation.
When I Save as "PDF" and select the options "Notes pages" and open up the PDF, I see the slide and then the notes on the bottom of the page but the hyperlinks within the slide don't work.
I am using Adobe Reader 10.1.4

Do the links work if you save the actual PPT? In my version of PPT and Acrobat, there is no option to select notes in the Save As PDF item. However, the Save As PDF or XPS does provide the notes as an option. However, this latter approach is the MS conversion and not the Acrobat version. I suspect that MS decided there was no need to embed the links for Notes.
If you have the Acrobat option, then it will appear as just PDF in the Save As menu and you would also have an Acrobat menu in PPT that has a create PDF button. I am not on my AA XI machine and cannot check, but I don't think that Acrobat provides the notes out put unless you print to the Adobe PDF printer. In the print case you would not get the links. So check just how you are creating the PDF and be sure whether you are using the MS option or the Acrobat option.
