My printer doesn't print color

Hi,I have HP Envy 4500 e-All-In-One printer. I've been using this for 2 years (maybe little more).I don't have any problem with the black but it doesn't print the color . It's been like this since the beginning. I've never able to print color. I cleaned cartridge, unistall-install the drivers but nothing doesn't work. I wanted to take it back where i bought (BestBuy) but i think it's too late because i didnt keep neither its receipt nor the box, nor anything else. Can somebody help me please. P.S : I use lenovo yoga. Thank you..

Nice to meet you , I might have some things you can try to get your printer to use the colour cartridge. Is this still the original cartridge that came with the printer? Does the colour print on the Print Quality Diagnostic report?On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.Press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The printer prints the test page.

My EPSON printer doesn't print correctly the colors

Hi, I've an EPSON Stylus Photo R200 installed on my MacBook (OSX 10.4.11)... From some days, my printer doesn't print correctly the colors: I lunched the utility application and I saw that the printer doesn't print the "light magenta" (that's the light pink I think); that's strange, because his inkjet refill is not empty. I tried to do the clean process, but it don't start because there isn't enough ink in another two ink refill (yellow and light cyan, that aren't empty however).
Some ideas?

I have similar issue before and it's really frustrated to use small capacity cartridges in my R200 and R280 printers. I ended up to get a very very decent ink system from InkRepublic.com
these two systems have been working for me for few years and I never ever have to worry about the ink cost and printing problem.

HP 3540 AIO Printer DOESN'T PRINT BLACK TEXT!

I unfortunately have an HP AIO Printer Deskjet 3540 Series.
Upon haggling wiht the abject customer tech support for an hour, he asks me to re-install the driver. After doing so, the black text JUST DOESN'T PRINT!
Is this some kind of joke! I am going to run out of colored ink in printng the **bleep** test pages.
It's an absolute rip-off. No wonder people buy cheap cartridges.

HP printers generally have a 1 year warranty from their purchase date, you can verify the warranty using the following link if you would like; warranty check.
Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. HP will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.

Printer doesn't print

My iMac g5 iSight has a history of random restarts. It has been in for service, but it would not misbehave for them. When I got it back, I used SuperDuper to restore my most recent backup from my external drive. After restoring, I used my DVD install disks to install a clean copy of 10.4.2 onto the iMac hard drive. After updating the 10.4.2 install to 10.4.10 via the Combo updater, print jobs will process, the dialog box will say that the job has been printed, but the printer has no output. If I boot from my external drive (10.4.9), printing works just fine. When I reboot from the internal drive (10.4.10) printing is broken again. Anyone have any ideas about what is happening? (The reason for installing a clean copy of 10.4.2 is that the random restarts appear to have been caused by some system corruption.) Thanks in advance for your help.

You may want to try downloading and reinstalling the driver for the printer. I just recently had this scenario with an HP laser printer and my Power Mac.

Epson printer doesn't prints

I have an Epson AcuLaser C1100 printer. If I try to print an image with fine resolution it cancels the print with a "Mem overflow' message. I tried to remove the drivers of the pirnter and install the latest driver, but in the system preferences I can see that the operating system uses the 1.3 driver, even if I installed the 3.0. The printer works correctly with an older PowerBook. So I think there is something wrong with the driver..

Photoshop sends the full image to the printer, at the size you specified.
But the page size selected is up to the printer driver, and printing it correctly is up to the OS and printer driver.
And there is no command for Photoshop to "block" -- it sounds like Epson didn't understand the problem.

I recommend that you update the Photosmart C4780 Firmware and make sure your updates are done especially the Adobe and printer updates.

USB printer doesn't print on Airport Extreme

I just purchased MacBook Pro & Airport Extreme (w/n). Got network all set up with printer connected to USB port on Airport. Configured as instructed, all looked good and worked, test page printed from both existing iMac and new MacBook. Now, a few days later nothing prints. And Airport Utility says there are no USB printers connected. Printer Utility says there are printers.

I recently load IE 9 on my dv9500 laptop. Printing doesn't print all pages

I am running FF 8.01 with a Canon MG6220 printer. When I try to print pages it only (even in the preview) only prints one page and cuts off the bottom of the first page as well. All prints correctly in IE.

I get around problems like that with web pages that don't show completely in Print Preview ''(especially those pages that are providing a receipt for a transaction, which are basically a one time access or view, or a statement of my account which I really don't need on paper - just save them to disk in one file)'' by saving the page as an MHT file using the UnMHT addon for Firefox. If I want a printed copy immediately, I open a new tab and use File > Open File... to open that just saved MHT in a new tab. Then I print it from that MHT file. I have never had a problem with a saved MHT file web page not printing all pages completely. <br />

There's a number of printing Bugs that might cause that. iFrames and Divs that extend beyond the first printed page can cause pages 2 and beyond to not appear in Print Preview and to not be printed, and is probably the most common cause of that problem. Those two issues / Bugs have been around for as long as Firefox has existed ''(Sept 2002 with Phoenix 0.1)''; one Bug was filed on Netscape and the other on the Mozilla Suite. Both can be rectified fairly easily with web page media = print CSS code; if the website provided proper support for Firefox they could probably fix it in a few minutes. But, hey, after 10 years of providing specific patch code for IE 5, 5.5, and 6.0 for stuff that didn't meet W3C coding standards and to make their pages work in IE, they're probably out of practice testing their stuff with the 3 or 4 most popular browsers and providing a minor tweak here and there. Either that or the developers who did the testing and patches were "retired" because they were being paid more then a banana or two for their skills.
I have given up hope that Mozilla will ever fix all these printing related problems, and I am afraid that they will screw things up even worse if they do try to fix something. Like this regression - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=454532 - after the developers messed with printing for the Firefox 3.0 version; the Bug was filed 3 years ago and it still isn't completely fixed. Partial fix in 8.0, more promised in 9.0, and maybe completely fixed in 10.0??

Print Preview of Browser(IE) does not show the image, Printer doesn't print

Hi,
I am using a servlet to stream image (GIF) to the browser.
Image is accessed by browser using the img tag. src attribute points to the servlet which send the image stream.
Servlet has the image as the array of bytes. It simply write these bytes on the response object's output stream. It does not use any encoder.
I get the image on the browser. But when I try to see the properties of the image I don't see the type of image. I also don't see the created time, modified time and size of the image. When I do Save As on this image it tries to save it as BMP instead of GIF. Also when I do the print preview I don't see the image in the preview window. When I try to print the web page, it prints everything except this image. I get small cross(image missing) on the printed page.
I would like to know why the image attributes on browser go missing and why can't I print the image?
I would like to add that I am getting the image as the array of bytes from a different application on which I do not have control?

I don't know much about Java Image API , but I could offer a few hints:
- set the type of the image explicitly as GIF
- similarly there might be a feature to set the data / time.
Someone in the File I/O forum or Java Image forum might know better than me.

Cups: Printer doesn't print anything but cups doesn't show any error

I installed cups on my brand new machine. For some test pages, my HP LaserJet Professional 1102w worked as expected. Then, for no apparent reason, it stopped printing althoug I can't see any error messages. The print jobs just show up as "completed at Sat 11 Dec ...". Printing on the same printer works when it's plugged to another machine.
The printer is 'hp'. The 'hp_laser' printer which appears in the log is the same printer on a network host.

Any updates on this? I'm having a similar issue, except it's on a printer I've been using for a long time and only certain PDFs are causing problems. Some PDFs print fine, but for others I am only able to print a few pages (and then the printer stops and it looks like the job was completed, except for the missing pages in the output tray).

Is there a problem with Epson 2.18 update? My printer doesn't print since this was updated.

Recently updated my Mac version 10.6.8 with Epson 2.18 software. My Epson Stylus CX4800 printer is now not printing.

How is the printer set up? Wi-Fi or attached directly to the computer?

Photosmart C6180 - printing incomplete characters, lines, colors

The printer doesn't print all of the letter (like the tail of the y), doesn't print the first line and doesn't print the right colors. What it does print is very light and difficult or impossible to read. Tried cleaning the printhead (through the settings menu on the printer itself) and it seemed to fix the problem but only for a few days and then started again. Operating system is Windows 8.

I see you are experiencing issues with your print output. I would like to help.
I would recommend removing the ink cartridges from the printer, and performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also suggest following the steps in this document on Quality Issues.

Lexmark Driver For C540 doesn't Print

Since OS 8 was released my Lexmark C540 printer doesn't print. I'm using the new driver, 11 and while I can get to the printer home page and print the color sample. After printing the samples then anything in the queue prints. I can't see myself prining 12 pages of color samples in order to print a 1 page document.

Thanks for the suggestion to check privileges, but that's the problem--the driver is not present to have any privileges to check. On reboot, there are only links (all owned by root with 777 perm.) at /dev which lead to non-existent directories.
