My printer.... HP Photosmart B110a...?

It's not printing in colour.... I have put in new cartridges, but its coming out blank...
Im using word, it worked once, pretty sketchy picture, but now nothing at all... not even black and white. HELP

How long is it since you've had a clear print? Was the printhead exposed after it was removed from its packaging or has it been removed at all since its insertion into your B110a?
I would start with the embedded printer toolkit which would have installed when you installed the printer driver onto your system. If you give me your OS I can guide you to it, if you cannot find it yourself in the start menu.
I am an HP employee.
Feel free to provide Kudos if I have helped you!

  • IPhone 4.2.1 print not working with Photosmart B110a

    I can access the printer web page from Safari, but "Looking for Printers" finishes with "No Printers Found". iPhone then loses WiFi connection and password has to be entered again.
    Any suggestions for getting this working would be appreciated.

    Hi there,
    I have the same problem. My printer is: "Photosmart B110a"
    I can print fine using the HP iPrint application, but when I try to print using the default printer on my iPhone (ie from Mail) I get "No Printers Found"
    We're using WPA, with an EnGenius AP, and Cable connection to the internet.
    Does the printer need to be able to connect to the internet? I saw some other user saying that the printer updated and they were able to print. Currently we connect through a managed Linux firewall.
    Thanks!

  • Photosmart b110a only prints in black and white

    Hi i've got a photosmart b110a which copies and scans in colour, but will only print out from my imac in black and white.
    Does anyone have the same problem and hopefully the answer

    I tried to understand why my B110a was printing Black and White. I just solved the problem which is driver related(in my case).
    If you are on a Mac do this:
    1. Download the last drivers from the HP website for your printer;
    2. Install them normally;
    3. Go in System Preferences > Print & Fax;
    4. There should be your printer listed on the left side of the window, double click it;
    5. Another window should open, select Printer Setup at the top right;
    6. Now select Driver on the top;
    7. In 'Print Using:' select: 'HP Photosmart B110 Series'.
    That was the problem for me, even though the driver were installed they weren't selected - I know it's silly.
    Hope that solve your problem, otherwise I'm not be able to help you further.
    If you use any Windows or Linux platform I won't be able to help at all as I don't know how could I set that - if is that the case - on those platforms.
    All the best,
    Frann

  • Photosmart B110a & Mavericks - won't print after about two minutes...

    Evening - I've been using the Photosmart B110a for a few years no problems at all with Windows XP, Windows 7 and more recently Windows 8 - I've recently bought an iMac that is running Mavericks, and it's not right.
    It took me a while to install  it, but eventually got that sorted but now it simply hangs when I try to print to it. Now, and here's the thing, if i reboot the printer, or reboot my router (TalkTalk DSL-3780) the printer comes on line, the jobs in the queue print, I can get to the webpage for the printer and all seems ok.
    But after about two minutes it "hangs" - for want of a better phrase. The print jobs queue up, the webpage hangs, and nothing happens until I reboot it.
    Now whiles it's hanging, I can still ping the router from the terminal, but no response from any of the software - unti I reboot, and then only for a few minutes, and on the cycle goes.
    It's still fine from the Windows machines not incidentally, it only seems to be doing this from the iMac.
    The reboot fix is a solution of sorts, but it's obviously not ideal.
    Reading the forums there have been lots of posts about scanning issues with Mavericks, but I've not got that far yet.
    Could you advise one way or the other?
    Many thanks, Gary.

    Hey @Wickers , I am really sorry i misunderstood the OS you are running.
    We have exahusted all the troubleshooting steps HP has provided for this issue.  The only driver available is for 10.8 and lower.  Unfortunately this printer is not fully compatible with the new operating systems of Mac.  The only driver available is the apple update thats you you have already done, because HP doesnt have a driver,  we are very limitted in what we can do for this issue.
    I suggest maybe trying a different printer driver such as HP Photosmart 5510d e-All-in-One Printer B111h/B111j Full Feature Software and Drivers.
    For any further support at this point I would recommend calling the HP tech support via phone.

  • I cannot select the Paper Size when I try to print with HP Photosmart B110a with Windows 8.1 64bit

    I cannot select the Paper Size when I try to print with HP Photosmart B110a
    The same printer was working OK with my old PC with OS Windows 7
    However I got a new PC with OS Windows 8.1 64bit
    I installed the new driver for HP Photosmart B110a that I dowloaded from HP site. Driver forWindows 8.1 64bit.
    In addition to not being able to chose the paper size, also when I go to Printer Properties in Options, all the characters are non-ascii.
    Do you know what may be the problem?
    Thank you

    Hello Nanu64,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
    I see that you are having some issues when attempting to print from your computer.
    I also see that you stated that not all the options are available in the printing preferences options.  This could be because the installation was not complete or it failed.
    I suggest that we do a complete uninstall/ reinstall as well as some additional steps.
    First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
    If you have the printer connected to the computer with a usb cable, please remove the cable from both ends and leave it disconnected until further notice.
    The next link that I have for you will give you detailed instructions for Uninstalling the Printer Software.  Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer so that the changes take affect.
    When the computer is back up and running, please disable any firewalls or anti virus protection you may have running. We don't want anything getting in the way of the reinstall.
    The following download is the HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers.  Save this download to the desktop of the computer so that it creates its own icon.  This will make it easy for us to find when the download is complete.
    Double click the new icon and follow the installation instructions.  The installation will give you connection options (Wireless , usb or Ethernet), if connecting usb, please wait for the prompt to connect the cable.  Connecting the usb cable before hand can cause an issue with the installation.
    If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thanks for your time.
    Cheers,

  • Photosmart B110a HP software won't install on windows 7 starter

    I have a Photosmart B110a 3 year old wireless printer that is working on my home pc running windows 7 professional, but after buying a new notebook running windows 7 starter I can not install the HP software either from the install cd that came with the printer or by downloading the software from the HP website!
    I have done a fresh install of windows 7 starter & have switched off antivirus & firewall but I still can't install HP software to install the printer.
    (I was told I would have to pay £18 for technical support to get YOUR software to work my notebook, I don't see why I need to pay money for something that is clearly an issue with YOUR software?)
    I don't have any problems installing any other software for any other software provider on my notebook either from the discs or by downloading, so the issue is isolated to just YOUR software!
    When I try and left click on the setup exe logo when the disk spins up the cd window disappears and nothing happens, no software in installed! Tried copying the contents to my notebook and try to manually install but that does not work either!
    Downloading the software from HP website results in the software unzipping/unpacking but then nothing happens, install window disappears! Yes I have switched off & even tried uninstalling my antivirus & firewall without any success! HELP!!!!!!

    Have you already tried running the install wizard?  This will help resolve some potential problems.

    Pete991239,
    I'm willing to guess that you've never had ePrint work when sending from this e-mail. It appears from the message that the e-mail is being blocked at the initial gateway of the HP servers which segregates known domains (like gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) from the ones it doesn't recognize (like rr.com, cingular.att.com). I have a strong feeling that "tesco.net" is one of those it's filtering out (but this is a speculation as I do not have access to the algorithims in place for the servers).
    Try sending a print job from a GMail account or a Yahoo account if you have access to one and see if you are capable of doing this. If so, set up an auto forward rule in one of these accounts to forward any e-mail sent to it to be forwarded on to the ePrint e-mail address. I've tested this here in our offices and have success.
    Let me know if this works.

  • Anyone managed to connect an HP Photosmart B110a P...

    I have a Photosmart B110a printer that refuses to connect.
    After entering all network information SSID and wireless key, the printer attempts connection then you get a blue screen on the printer panel with error code B8126AD6, you then get a printer error then you are asked to switch off & switch on the printer. You are then in a loop!
    Have tried the USB to wireless function on my PC but get the same error.
    Anyone managed to connect one of these?

    Some professional you used, that's total rubbish. I use a different model HP printer (Photosmart C4380) and it connects wirelessly on the BT hub 2 without any issues (other than the often **bleep** HP software but that's another story!).

    I was using OS Snow Leopard and on 8/1/13 I downloaded Mountain Lion.  Then I found out it was not compatible with my HP Printer (HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-one) so I called Apple support and the tech told me to erase the hard drive instead of going in the time machine.  Well I did that and then it took about three hours three days a week for about three weeks on the phone with an apple tech to get all my stuff back on my computer.  I have had trouble with my printer (won't do the scan anymore and wasn't printing on my DVDs.  Also the computer keeps freezing up when it is in the sleep mode, etc.
    When I tried to list my problem on this forum it lists your OS at the bottom and mine had Mountain Lion listed as what I was using so apparently it didn't erase it.  Want to know how to get Mountain Lion off and put my Snow Leopard on so things start working right.

    Go to the  menu/About This Mac - what OS version shows there?
    Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
    Revert to a Previous OS X
    Revert to Snow Leopard
    If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.

  • Problem with wireless printer HP photosmart by using iPad

    How can I use my wireless printer HP photosmart D 7460 with my iPad?
    jacques

    I don't see your printer on the list of AirPrint capable printers: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356.  If it isn't AirPrint capapble, the options are as follows:
    HP may have an app in the App store that will allow your printer to have limited capabilities (not AirPrint).
    One or more of the 3rd party printer apps in the Apps Store may work with your printer (again not AirPrint).
    Download a 3rd party program to your PC/MAC that will allow you to use shared printers as if they were AirPrint capable.  Your iPad will see the printer as an AirPrint cabable printer, but the PC/MAC the software is installed on must be up and running.  A few such programs are Printopia, AirPrint Activator, FingerPrint by Collobos.

    How do you hook up a labtop to a wireless printer HP photosmart plus?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
    You need a wireless network for your printer to be able to "talk" with your laptop. Using wireless router (or access point) is the normal way. Please use the following manual (from page #5) to hook your printer to your home network:
        http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01796502.pdf
    After that, you have to download drivers and software from the following link to install to your laptop:
