Please help get my printer to work it is on but my computer seems to tell me it is offline. I just got my Apple Extreme back up after it seemed to have lost its connection... and now it will not print it shows items in que but not actually printing.

The icon is +Sections, not just Sections, as in "Add a Section". When you click that icon you get a section break and and a new section template, complete with preformatted text called placeholder text. The reason "Lorem ipsum" is there is so you can see what the format looks like. The reason that it is Latin gibberish is so you won't get hung up on, or distracted by, what it says. It's just a display of format. Select the "Lorem ipsum" text and start typing your content.

How do I get my computers to see my external hard drive on airport extreme?

I jus purchased and airport extreme as although he directions say plug and play - it doesn't work. None of my computers see my external hard drive when it is plugged into the airport. Cannot locate directions with step by step support. thank you. Nettie

The external harddrive is NTFS format and someone from apple told me that it would have to be reformatted to be seen by the Extreme -- Needless to say with 33% of the hard drive filled, I do NOT want to reformat.
Unfortunately, HDDs attached to the USB port of the AirPort Extreme, cannot be recognized by the AirPort if formatted in NTFS. If you do not wish to reformat this drive, you will either have to use a different drive or connect this drive to a Windows PC for sharing on the network.
The AirPort can only share drives formatted in HFS+ or FAT32.

How do I get the Bell Fibe Remote app to work through my AirPort Extreme?

We have Bell Fibe internet and TV through their modem which is then connected to our AirPort Extreme. During the set up I didn't have to change my existing home network but now the Bell Fibe Remote app on my 5s phone or iPad mini says my Bell wireless receivers are not on the same network.... Hmm. The Sagemcom is a ADSL modem, the Cellpipe is a combination ADSL modem & wired router, and the Motorola is a Wireless Access Point. It looks like they set up the Sagemcom to be your main modem and use the Cellpipe as your Internet router. Note: I am guessing that they disabled the modem feature of the Cellpipe. Finally they added the Motorola to provide you with a wireless network.
Since your AirPort Extreme is, by default, an Internet router, it would have to be reconfigured as a bridge, as I mentioned earlier, for your network to work properly.

There are no viruses. There is a trojan you would have to download and run from strange websites. What makes you think the slowdown is due to a virus? Maybe you could provide some specific evidence.

Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. How can I get an audiobook's playback position synced between Mac and iPhone?

I have several Audible audiobooks, both on my iMac and on my iPhone. I listen to the audiobook on either the computer or the phone, depending on the circumstances. Both the iMac and the iPhone will independently remember the playback position within the audiobook, but I cannot get them to sync those playback positions to each other. So if I'm on chapter 2 on the iMac, listen for a couple of hours, and end at chapter 4, then the Mac will remember the correct playback position when I return to the book, but if I sync the iPhone to the Mac, and check the audiobook on the phone, it is still at the playback position it was the last time I listened to the book on the phone. Should the playbook position in the audiobook sync when the phone is synced to the computer via iTunes? I've tried both wired and wireless syncs, and that doesn't seem to make a difference on my case. Should this work, and if so, is there a particular setting that I'm missing?

I am tracking the movement of various objects by subtracting the current image from the previous image and displaying the result. Anything that moves is white and anything that doesn't is black. I then have vision assistant give me a list of particles and their pixel positions based on certain criteria. I then use the data from my two cameras pointing at 45 degrees inward in order to triangulate the object's 3-D position in space (this takes a few steps). Then I use the frame rate of the camera and the scalar distance between an object in multiple frames to determine its scalar and vector velocities. All of this is done in real time.
I was originally having issues with the pixel positions but have since wrote a vi that interprets a matrix of the pixel positions which then feeds them into my position/velocity vi.
The vi I attached is built to work with my "bitflow alta frame grabber" so feel free to ask questions if anything is not understood.
My new task has been to develop a way to only track one object at a time, and have that object be the same object in both cameras.

How do I get books to sync between ibooks on my Mac and my iPad?

I recently purchased an ebook from a source outside of the IBooks store (ePub). I loaded it into the IBooks app on my Mac and I can open and read it there but it does not appear on my iPad. I'm using Mavericks and from what I've researched I think that I have it set up correctly to sync...but the book will not sync. Any hints?

Another options is to have an app like Dropbox on your iPad and Mac and transfer to the iPad that way.
It will transfer to the iPad and should offer you ooption to open your ePub.
If you intend to add more nonne iBooks store ePubs, I suggest you download a decent Free Books app and Dropbox will detetct it and offer as an option to open your book.

Top line is suddenly missing: no finder, no options, no date and time or wifi status, no time capsule to return to previous settings! Can't figure out what happened.

You can only sync with one computer. When you synced to the new computer it would have erased it and synced what was on the new computer.
You always need to have a backup, an iPhone is not a storage device.
When you get a new computer you need to transfer your library before syncing
If you don't have a backup you may be out of luck
The only thing would be if you're in the US and have access to the iCloud beta to reload purchases

I've set up WIFI sync and finally can see podcasts on iphone etc but my contacts and calendars are not syncing between these two. I have contacts added on my phone that are not showing up on my computer and vice versa. And I have multiple calendars on my Mac that aren't showing up on the iPhone 3GS. I have to sync my ipad 2 with all of this but don't want to do this until the sync'ing is worked out between iphone and Mac. Any help is really appreciated.
