i have a problem after i pdate my firmware for Nokia N73
the problem is: before When I started to make a call the counter appear on the screen and when the other side open the line the counter start the count the time. This is useful to see the call time during the call process
But after the new firmware I did not find this service and I can not fix it.
How I can fix it?
Also, how I can back to the old firmware?
Is there a program to do the same service?

Problem of N73 latest firmware vs GPS receiver

Hi guys, I just upgraded my N73 to latest version(V4.0726.2.01))and I find a serious problem. The GPS software R66 in my N73 can never recive the singal from GPS receiver(NAVIBE732) again! I just wonder whether it is NOKIA to change the parameters that force NOKIA mobile phone only can be connected to their own GPS receiver, such as LD-3W! What do you think about it? Is there anybody have solution?

As far as i know, there is no way to use other GPS Receivers than Nokia ones, with the new firmware. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Email can't find iphoto files after downl new firmware mbp 17"

If I want to send pictures by mail he want open the iphoto files
Movies or music is no problem
I'm sure before the new firmware everything was fine

With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:

2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Problem after update the firmware

I have Imac isight 20inch. After the imac update the new firmware, the apple screen is black. Althought, I can hear the sound of fan working, the white ligh, but nothing is on screen. Anybody know about that problem? Any solution will be appreciate!

N73 - new firmware out?

I've seen a new firmware-version for my phone,
my Version is V 2.0628.0.0.1
i've seen V 2.0628.0.0.3
but the N73 isn't in the phone software update. When is the new firmware available? Or is the .0.0.3 no offical update?

grey area, i totally disagree with both of your points. With that many posts under your belt, i would have thought you would have something constructive for the customers to take positive out of, but you've failed us just like Nokia.
I don't want to wait 12 months for the "final working version" of a firmware to be released.
Take the N73, everyone knows the v3 fixes a lot of problems, it is available for some variants of the N73, but it should be available for all variants at the SAME time.
This is not an issue of waiting for the perfect firmware to fix everything on a phone, its about the gradual fixes along the way. The v3 firmware fixes the bluetooth for example, so i want that now, not wait upto 12 months for a fix to appear in a final firmware that fixes all problems.
I bought a 12 month contract, and if you expect anyone to wait upto a whole year for a firmware to be released to fix my phone your in cloud cuckoo land.
My Phone is unbranded, so it doesn't require any network invervention to ok the firmware, ONLY nokia is needed to release the v3 firmware for (xx.xx) variants, and have they done that? A problem with the new firmware of the zen tho

I installed the new firmware-2..0 on my zen touch and I have a new trouble that got me crazy!
When I choose an artist from the list in my player and I push play, sometimes it is written me"add music from library <press menu button>"!. This happened in specific artists. What can be the problem?

i had a number of problems after installing the new firmware regarding tagging, and the way in which the player organises music. This may be causing a problem. I think a good start is to copy all your music off the player with mediasource, use mediasource to make sure everything is ide3 tagged correctly (make sure you select ALL tracks in mediasource and press update tags once everthing appears to be organised correctly), and copy it all back using the sync software. It might be worth backing all your music up though somewhere else on your harddri've before you start editting tags. I'm not sure how the player organises the music, but i found it best to stick all my music in the root of the music folder, instead of using heaps of subfolders, which is what the transfer software likes to do. This may not fix your problem, but if not it should atleast eliminate potential causes. There may also be a character in the name which the player doesn't like, so check if there are any strange characters.

i heard that new firmware for n73 was released from nokia (V4.0723.2.0.1/06.06.07)and i tried to update my n73 firmware, but my NSU keep telling me that i already install latest firmware and i check on my phone, but that too disappointed that my n73 still not up to date (V3.0704.1.0.1). I want my n73 firmware to be update. It's not fair to users like me.
I hope nokia will overcome this problem.. I want my n73 firmware to be update.

Hi rouin - Although Nokia has released an updated firmware for the N73, it will only be for a certain product codes (you can find your product code under your battery compartment).
If you received your phone as part of a contract then your phone will be tied in to that network operator - e.g. Vodafone, Orange and so on. If this is the case then you will have to wait until they authorise the release of the firmware for the N73 - there's no way around this unfortunately.

WRT610N v1 Problem after uploading wrong firmware

Hello
I thought to upgrade my WRT610 wireless modem with the latest image. Unfortunately I believe I had a version2, and download the latest firmware of this version.
After uploading the firmware it doesn't pop-up with a screen that the image was successful and after waiting 30 min. I reboot the router.
Now the router initialization fails (power light is flashing) and I find out that I have a WRT610 version 1 router.
Reset to factory default with pushing the reset button for 30 sec and turn off the power for the same amount of time doesn't solve the problem. I can't access the GUI to configure the modem. I can ping the default ip-address 192.168.1.1.
Can somebody inform me if it's possible to access this modem in ROM-mode with telnet or ssh to uploade the correct firmware via ftp? Such a the big brother Cisco routers?

Upgrading router's firmware with wrong version can damage the router.As the Power light blinking on the router,
You may try upgrading the router's firmware using TFTP utility....Download 44.3 KB the tftp utility and save it on the dekstop....
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router's password is admin.
For File- Click the triple ??? button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the
progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router if the power light stable....if the power light still kept blinking then router will not work

Camera problems after updating 8100 Firmware to v4.5

Hi All
This is a known issue to me as I update all our work handsets with Blackberry firmware for the company I work for.
After updating the firmware on several handsets to the latest 4.5 version of the Blackberry 8100 there is a problem with the camera.
When you are in view mode and outside (even whilst overcast) the screen goes white as if the aperture for the lens is open wide.
Even when you take the picture the result is whiteness everywhere.

Both of these pictures were taken indoors with just flourescent lights on.
However if I return the firmware to a lower level the problem no longer exists.
I have tried changing the white Balance settings on the handset and no matter which setting I put it on the same results occure.
I was wondering if there is a patch or do I have to wait for the next version for a bug fix?

Exchange 2007 - Outlook Anywhere problems after installing new SSL cert

Hi all,
Exchange 2007 environment (2x CAS, ISA2006). Not much familiar with Exchange.
Problem: 20-odd machines off the domain use Outlook Anywhere (XP with Outlook 2010). AUthentication pop-up and not able to connect.
Company has recently changed its name and we have to renewed the SSL cert. Previous SSL cert. was issued to: webmail.oldcompname.co.uk (several SANs on that cert., including internal server names).
Applied for a new UCC SSL cert issued to: newcompanyname.com (also includes webmail.newcompanyname.com ; autodiscover.newcompanyname.com + old SANs).
The setting on those machines point the proxy to the following:
Https://webmail.oldcompname.co.uk (which is fine since it is in the cert and can be accessed)
Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their cert.:
msstd:webmail.oldcompname.co.uk (I believe this is the problem since the new UCC SSL cert. was issued to newcompanyname.com).
Browsing technet + internet it seems that I need to look into OutlookProvider EXPR.
When I run Get-OutlookProvider everything is blank (I believe I should be concerned to EXPR only for Outlook Anywhere).
I am thinking of running: Set-OutlookProvider -Identity EXPR -CertPrincipalName msstd:newcomanyname.com
My only concern is whether this might break something else in the Exchange environment, especially as we have 100+ users on smartphones connecting via SSL on webmail.oldcompname.co.uk
Is it save to run this command? Do I need to re-start IIS? Do I need to look into any settings on ISA2006?

According to the description, I found that we re-new a SSL certificate.
"I am thinking of running: Set-OutlookProvider -Identity EXPR -CertPrincipalName msstd:newcomanyname.com"
Just do it. Then remove the old certificate on ISA server and install a new one.

Problems after N73 firmware update

I've had an N73 phone for some time and just recently updated the firmware, which has disabled all my games that are on the phone!! They are still on the memory card, but they will not open. ( Some games were formatted for other nokia models that had worked prior to update, and a few were actually for the correct model, but none work now- Help!

Hi, have you enabled Speed Dial after the reset?
The default setting after a reset is to have speed dial disabled.
If I remember correctly the setting is in "Settings" - "Phone" - "Call" - set "Speed dialling" to On.
