My problem is the ipad won't show up in itunes.

I have Windows, the ipad appear on my computer but in itunes does not appear, since uninstalled it and went back to itunes install, i restarted the apple mobile device services, programs already set up the startup of windows and nothing works, the ipad is with the last update ...
if someone could help me would appreciate.

because iTunes also installs other components and when removing and re-installing, you have to remove the components in the exact order otherwise it usually doesn't resolve the issue, and sometimes make it worst!
also make sure: you're using the correct ipad usb cable and plugging it on the back of the computer (not the front usb)
next step if it doesn't work would be to try to create another windows user (administrator) and try the ipad on that one, sometimes it works like that.

I had the same issue. After searching around online I found out that you can try downloading another app (it can be any app) onto your ipod. After it finishes downloading see if your other apps open. You don't even have to keep the new app. Just see if your other ones work and you can delete the new one. That should work. If not, try to hard reset it. It could be the case that you were expecting your purchases to show up in iTunes automatically after downloading them on your iPhone. If that is the case, you may need to enable Automatic Downloads, which can be done using this information:

I upgraded from a iPod touch to a iPad. Now my playlists from the iPod won't show up in iTunes.

There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I've had my iPad for less than a week and just noticed that the emails I send through my Gmail account (IMAP) from the iPad won't download to my MacBook, whereas the ones I send from my laptop do appear on my iPad as soon as I press the send button. This is odd for the ones I send directly from the Gmail page also show up on my laptop when I open Mail. Anybody knows of a way around this synching problem? I've searched this forum as well as the Gmail website but haven't found any solution so far and don't know where else to look.

Sounds like you do not have SMTP for your iPad Mail configured correctly with Gmail. SMTP is used for sending email. When you send email from the Gmail web page using Safari on your iPad you are completely bypassing the Mail client app which is why that works.

Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?

Why won't my iPad won't show up when I open iTunes?

I received my iPad as a gift last month. I have iTunes (v 10.1.1.4) on my PC (running Windows XP). I no longer have an iPod so I want to download my library of songs to my iPad. However, when I hook up my iPad to the PC, and I open iTunes, the iPad does not show up. My PC recognizes it's hooked up because it's visible in my Windows Explorer. Why won't iTunes recognize it?

Update to the newest 10.5 version and try again. Open itunes and go to Help/Check for Updates.
