My profile folder has been loaded, but my preferences do not appear on Firefox
I am reinstalling everything on my laptop after the hard drive was replaced. I have followed Firefox instructions to:
Create a new profile
Copy files between profiles
My bookmarks, passwords, etc are not available when I open Firefox.
When I follow the troubleshooting insturctions, Firefox >Help >Troubleshooting Information, and click the "Show Folder" button next to Profile Folder, it opens the correct profile with all the content. My personal info (bookmarks, passwords, etc) still is not incorporated into the Firefox home screen.
What am I missing? Please help.
Do you see the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)and the passwords in the Password Manager?

I have been trying to change my Apple ID for my iPhone account because the e-mail on there is an old e-mail that I cannot use anymore. I have went on the website and went through all of the steps of changing it, and I've changed everything to my updated e-mail and verified it as well. On my phone, it still has my old e-mail address, and keeps popping up any time I try to access iCloud, iMessage, etc. that my password or e-mail is invalid. I'm not sure why it's not changing on my phone or what other steps I'm supposed to take in changing it.
If they are no longer in your camera roll, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account (open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, the tap Save to Camera Roll).

Why is my Ipad telling me a message has been delivered but my Iphone is not?
I sent an Imessage. Both my Iphone and my Ipad are connected to my apple ID. When I send a message to one particular number, I get a delivered message at the bottom of the text on my Ipad, but my Iphone shows the message with nothing underneath it?

If I understand correctly you are seeing in Messages that your, well, messages are being sent, but the receiving party does not actually get them. I would recommend these troubleshooting steps from the following article:
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.

I make a lot of video's in iMovie but in the latest I have included some "Ticker " Titles that run smoothly when in iMovie but when I burn to disc with iDVD the Ticker Titles run but are shaky .This is the first time I have come across this after owning my iMac for 5 years so I am not sure if this is something new since updating which I do always when new updates come out . When I use a stationary Title there are no problems but the moving title does add a bit of class to the video.
I always rave about my iMac and loathe to tell the guy's I have a small issue .Was your workflow similar to this recommended workflow?
Follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If not try using it and test the disk in both DVD players. -
E-mailing users when data has been loaded.
Does anyone have some information on setting up FDM to e-mail certain users when data has been loaded for certain locations? Not sure what steps need to be taken to setup the FDM server, FDM and just wondering if there are any generic scripts that can be used.
You would need to write a custom script to do this. You can use the E-mail Accelerator to do this, and it would need to be included in an event that fires after load.

New computer has been loaded with old Itunes library but a number of purchases prior to 9/18/08 are not "authorized" when I try to play them.
They are all items I purchased from Itunes but they won't play any longer even though they show in my Itunes library.
Doesn't work when I enter account info and password either.
This is only about 5% of my library and many purchased items play no problem.

Three words, Target Disk Mode. Use a firewire cable to connect two Macs and then hold down the T key when you boot the Mac you want to transfer files from, G4 Tower. It will appear as a hard drive on the desktop of your Macbook Pro. Then you can just drag and drop the whole folder.

I want to add a CD to my IPod Classic, the CD has been loaded into my library but my iPod is not showing on i-tunes and I can't get the CD onto my iPod.
Well if your iPod is not appearing under Devices in iTunes when you have it plugged into a high powered USB 2.0 port, then that would explain why this newly loaded CD has not synced to it yet.
Have you carefully worked through each and every single suggestion in this Apple support document?

On Apple TV, my pictures have loaded, but I cannot get the slideshow function to work. It has been "loading" 28 pictures for five minutes. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows 7 on my PC.
I don't have any direct experience with D-Link equipment, but I may be able to provide some general advice. See if you can use a Web browser to connect to the D-Link's configuration screen. This probably involves visiting a URL such as http://www.192.168.0.1 . If you haven't changed the sign-on parameters, a quick Google search should find them for you.
Once there, note as many configuration details as you can find. You'll need those to configure your Time Capsule.
Use the AirPort Utility to configure the Time Capsule.
One last thing: It's quite possible that the Verizon network will have locked onto the "MAC" address of your D-Link router. Something needs to be done to reset this. If there's a separate box at your house that came with the FIOS equipment that's "upstream" from the D-Link router, I'd cycle power on it to see if that does the job. Otherwise you'll probably need to call Verizon to ask them to reset things once your Time Capsule is installed in place of the D-Link router. -
I have a new MacBook Pro with OS10.8.2 and cannot get Contacts to print a list of addresses with pictures showing. There is a check box selecting "picture" which has been checked - but no picture. This worked fine on OS10.7.5. Problem??
First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long. -

When I tried to use Firefox this morning I got this message with exclamation marks.

Myself, I count myself lucky. Everything works perfectly for me right now...email, bluetooth, maps, gps, 3rd party apps, battery life, 3G, wifi, etc. etc.
The only issue I've been having is the dreaded reboots but I believe that may have to do with 3rd party apps. I recently uninstalled Google Search app from my N78 and since then it hasn't rebooted or shown any issues. This seems odd at first but makes sense if you think about the fact that the Google Search app loads itself into memory and runs in the background at all times.
I did this this past Tuesday night and so far no reboots, crashes or any problems. I'm sure I just jinxed myself but I've been using it heavily over the last few days with no issues. Prior to this, it would usually reboot every 2 days. If it doesn't reboot for another few days I'll be happy.
I would normally not stand for this but I just love the phone and if I got something else it'd probably be the iPhone 3G which has perhaps more software bugs and issues than the N78-3!!

My utilities folder has been deleted.
Well don't ask me how but my utilities folder has been deleted. I don't have disk utility or any of that anymore. How can i fix this?
Download the shareware utility Pacifist 2.0 from www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the entire Utilities folder from the file archive on your Intel Tiger Installer DVD. The archives may not be "visible" so you will need a utility such as TinkerTool to turn on the Finder's option to display invisible files and folders.
If you haven't emptied the Trash, then it's possible the folder may still be in the Trash. Open the Trash and check. If it's there just drag it out to its proper location in the Applications folder. -

how fix this problemAre you talking about the verification email from Apple? If so, make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. When you receive it, you need to respond by clicking the Verify Now link.
If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email. -
