My proxy settings keep getting reset to Manual Proxy Config on every Firefox4 restart.

Tried disabling all add-ons and plugins and still no avail. Please help! Every time Firefox restarts, I always have to go Option > Advanced > Network > Settings and click No Proxy. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Disabling the extension (add-on) FireShot did it for me =)

  • Automatic Proxy Configuration keeps getting disabled for Manual Proxy Configuration

When ever I launch Firefox 3.6.13, the connection settings get reset to Manual Proxy Configuration. I switch the connection settings to automatic proxy configuration and all works fine. Upon closing and re-launching Firefox the Connection Setting is set back to manual proxy configuration.

You probably are mixing up your password with passwords from other accounts. If i were you i would write down your password somewhere easy to acess and make it very hard to guess if you ever reset it.

That's fine. I just didn't understand, but suspected that's what you meant.
You should contact Apple about this. Go to this website, find your country, and call Apple and ask to speak to Account Security about this.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

    Mike,
Thank you for taking the time to look at my app. This is my last major stumbling block that I have to resolve for this and other forms in the app.
Actually, I did use the Form Wizard for Auto DML to originally create the form. It was great. It created most of the Buttons, Items and Validations automatically (basically most of the page). I just needed to create some Processes and Computations. Two of which were the Processes to update the 'create_dt' and 'created_by' fields and 'update_dt' and 'updated_by' fields. The Create process updates the fields just fine.
However, my problem seems to be that the Hidden 'create_dt' and 'created_by' fields aren't picking up the values from a record that is being editted. Then when I attempt to save the record those fields are NULL, causing the DB NOT NULL constraint to throw an exception for those fields. In the back of my mind I seem to remember seeing some post stating something to the effect that the information in fields with a Source Type of Database Column is just displayed and does not affect Session State items.
Even with that, I am still wondering just why the 'created_by' Page Item shows the value that is in the DB record being updated, but the 'create_dt" does not (as can be seen in my first posting). It is the 'create_dt' Page Item (:P205_CREATE_DT) not having the DB records 'create_dt' info in it that appears to be the problem.
    Thanks,
    Tom

I was watching a movie on my Apple TV and suddenly it stopped. I noticed I was logged out. Then I tried logging in again and I keep getting a message "cannot connect to iTunes". I restarted the Apple TV three times and tried again each time. I am stuck  Help please

There's an issue currently that a lot of us are experiencing in that we all get the error message "iTunes is currently unavailable; please try later"
It's an issue with Apple and we're awaiting an update re this
I've posted a topic in regards to this after having a long conversation with Apple support this morning and will be receiving a call from their tech team tomorrow to run through it further
As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
    * [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

  • Cant connect Proxy settings keep resetting on exit since upgrade

Ever since I upgraded to 4.whatever it is now every time I close firefox when I start it up again I cant connect because it changes my proxy connection to manual proxy configuration despite that I dont use a proxy. I can change it to whichever of the other options and it works fine until I close then reverts back.
It is very annoying is there anyway to fix this so it saves my settings?

Disabling the extension (add-on) FireShot did it for me =)

  • Why do my HTTPS proxy password keep getting deleted?

I use my MAC on a corporate network
in order to access the internet I have to do it via a proxy server. I have set the proxy settings against the Network interface, but it keeps getting deleted, so that I have to retype it.
can anyone let me know why this happens and what I can do to solve it so that I do not keep putting in user name and password.
    Cheers

In your calendar app, in the bottom middle there's the words 'calendar'. Tap on that and make sure your iPad's internal calendar is selected. What happens sometimes with mine is that it defaults to my synced calendar and not the internal one, so my internal one is there just not visible.

  • Password keeps getting reset.

    Hi there.
I've had my password been reset about 20 times in the last few months, not by me. I keep getting emails saying that my password has been reset without my consent. I've changed the password back every single time, each time making it increasingly obscure. I've also changed all my security questions to almost impossible to guess answers even by my close family.
I'm now starting to believe that somebody is either hacking my account or my computer has contracted some sort of virus.
This issue is making me absolutely livid. It's a real nuisance.
    Any suggestions very welcome.
    Charlie.

I'm assuming that you're talking about your Apple ID password? Most likely, these e-mails either represent a phishing attempt, in which case there's nothing to be done but send them to your junk mail folder, or someone is repeatedly trying to reset your account password. To rule out the latter, enable two-factor authentication on your Apple ID, which will prevent any password reset attempts without providing some additional authentication.

  • "Including when automatically checking" keeps getting reset

I am using MobileMe including a MacBook Pro and iMac. Set up my work email account as POP3 on both systems. I keep unchecking "Including when automatically checking for new mail" because I don't always want to be downloading these for a few reasons. However, the box keeps getting re-checked on both systems! how do I prevent this? Also have this on iphone but the account is not active.

I think the problem might arise from the process of retrieving mail. I've gone into Mail, Preferences, General and have set retrieval to Manual rather than every minute. I'll also avoid using the 'Get Mail' button, as I think this is part of the problem - I think it might cause the 'Include when automatically checking for new mail' box to be checked.
So, given that the MobileMe mail account pushes new email to my computers instantly, I'm still getting my mail quickly, with no routine checking.
I'll report back if this keeps working.

  • Web proxy settings not getting affected for Mozilla Firefox

I have an ISA Server setup as a web proxy in our domain environment . I have changed the proxy settings to the address of the new web proxy server for all the users in the domain by using group policy . Even the connection tab on the internet options have been disabled so that users wont be able to view the settings thereby preventing them from changing the proxy settings . It has been completed successfully . But when we tested the settings with various browsers by trying to access the blocked sites in our environment such as Facebook and other social networking sites , IE , Safari and Chrome seems to be detecting the proxy in the network and was blocking it but Mozilla Firefox and Opera does not seem to be affected by the change and users could have unrestricted access to the web . Please help me with how to configure mozilla firefox proxy settings using group policy edit .

I am facing a similar issue with the flash content on my website (appnina.com). Any flash content is not displayed on my website.
The problem is because of using flash plugin in Mozilla Firefox (21.0 - updated). The flash plugin does not get activated by default. That is whenever opening the site, the flash content is not displayed. It asks to click the activate button. This activation should be one time, however it always asks to do so whenever opening the site.
I just checked and found that this flash problem is not specific to my website but in general (youtube as well).
Let me put the screen shot of the same.
Any permanent solution to this. Let me check if I can delete the old plguin and download it again to solve this issue.
The problem seems to be because of compatibility problem of firefox with flash.
PS: Let me know if I need to start a new discussion thread on this ?

  • Synaptics tapbutton settings keep getting overridden

    Hi, my synaptics settings

            Identifier "touchpad catchall"
            Driver "synaptics"

            MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
            Option "TapButton1" "1"

            Option "TapButton3" "3"
    EndSection
keep getting overridden by some deamon to
    TapButton2=3 and TapButton3=2
I am using xfce, but I have gnome-deamon running, but as per wiki advice I have
    Run dconf-editor
    Edit /org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/mouse/
    Uncheck the active setting
And I don't know what else could be overriding my settings... I have temporarily solved it with script which runs synclient on boot, but that is only a workaround...

    Hi, I'm Jazzcat.
I've just installed and am trying Arch for the first time so my apologies if I've made a noob mistake here or miss out any required info.
I'm using KDE and have synaptiks installed. Config through the GUI works fine, but it fails to save settings when i reboot. Nothing jumped out at me in systemd. My best guess is it either doesn't have the appropriate permissions, or is getting overwritten by another daemon. I would greatly appreciate any assistance/ideas. I'll keep googling, but I'm kinda stumped on this one.
    xorg.conf.d]$ ls
    10-evdev.conf  10-quirks.conf  10-synaptics.conf
(I noticed here that unlike Cz-David I didn't have 10-evdev.conf.pacsave but I couldn't find any info on it.)

  • My homepage keeps getting reset to something I do not want. How to I keep my homepage from being changed

I go to tools and set my homepage. Everytime I click on home it changes it back to some search page I do not want. How do I prevent this

Set the Integer pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes
That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen other tabs.

To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
