My PS CS3 says its version CS5

This is my first time posting in the Adobe Forums. If I have the wrong discussion area please let me know.
I have an odd situation I can’t seem to resolve with a simple internet search…
I have Adobe Design Premium CS3 installed on my Windows machine (XP SP3). A couple months ago I installed CS5.1 Photoshop extended (no suite, just PS) as a trial and it worked fine. However, I now want to roll back to PS CS3 as I’m not ready to fully install PS CS5 yet (I’m building a new PC soon and don’t want to duplicate my work and deal with deactivating and such).
The problem is that there is no longer a reference to the Design Premium CS3 Suite. In the add/remove programs, only PS CS 5.1 (nothing on the CS3 Design Suite) shows up, in LR3 only PS CS 5.1 is an option to edit. If I go to Start-Programs-CS3 Design Premium I can access all the programs including Photoshop CS3. However, when in Photoshop CS3 and I check the System Info it says it’s version 5.1 Service Pack 3 (Adobe Photoshop verison 10.01 (10.0.1x20071012 [20071012.r.1644 09:30:00 cutoff; r branch]).
I’m afraid to remove CS5 as it may remove my CS3 Suite. How do fix this? I want to be able to link to CS3 via Lightroom again as the current link is to CS5 and when I try to choose another editor CS3 is not an option to choose.
Anyway, this is very odd. How do I get back to CS3 without having to reinstall? I hve the discs, jest don’t want extra things to do.
Any advice or leads are appreciated.

I don't see a problem.
The "version 5.1 Service Pack 3" part is reporting your OPERATING SYSTEM version, and just says that you have Windows XP Service Pack 3. It has nothing to do with Photoshop.
The Photoshop version is being correctly reported as 10.01, which is exactly what Photoshop CS3 SHOULD be displaying.
Help - About Photoshop... is how you check the Photoshop version alone.

It seems like the syncing is working with some things and now others. Any idea's would be delightful??I feel its more of my sync drivers for itunes/iphone not working if that makes sense. Its not my itunes that stops responding, its more of that if the phone syncs up it fails to anything further.
I've tried sync another iphone to the same itunes and windows autoplayer will allow the photos sorted on the iphone to be saved to the laptop but itunes won't even recongise the device is plugged in.

So pretty much what the title says. So my Iphone was stolen and it was updated to the newest IOS and I attempted to back up the info to an IPAD, but when I attemped it said the IPAD was to old, since its version 5.1.1. I was just wondering if there was anyway to get the data from my backup on my computer for an app and copy it to the IPAD.

just got a Nikon D610 and CS5 for Mac can't open the images -- message says installed version of camera raw doesn't support the camera. Downloaded the Raw 6.2 update for Mac, but installation failed. Now what?
The D610 didn't get out-of-the-box RAW support until Photoshop CC.
You can either upgrade to CC or use the DNG Converter to convert and open your DNGs in CS5. -
I open Firefox, use it then close it. Next time I try to open it, I get a message saying its already open, but, it isnt. I have to constantly restart my computer to use Firefox. What can I do to fix this?

my ipod & itunes are fully up-to-date with 4.2.1 for ipod and the itunes 11.0.1 and every app (ex facebook & ice cream jump says i need 4.3 version but when i click all updates say its all up to date. I have tryed restoring it 4 times to factory as well. Please help I have set-up over 10 ipods and differents generations and have never had this issue like this, I even have all ratings ristriction unchecked and payment info in itunes so i need help please
but i could download on others ipods in same gen, facebook and ice cream tower, everything i look up and try install always says that for apps so your saying that i can not ever download any apps to this ipod ever againÉ

ThanksOnly creative cloud subscribers get the new features. If you were a Cloud subscriber your version would be 16.4.0 not 16.0.4.

what do i do because whenever i click on itunes it says 'this version of itunes has not correctly been localized for this language. please run the english version. its in english already? its only been doing this since today because i had to restore my laptop to a restore point, but itunes was working fine on that day?

How do I display duplicates on the newest version of itunes?.help says its under file, but it is no longer there!
The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11.0. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library. Note that, as with the iTunes feature, this list makes no distinction between "originals" and "dupes", you have to decide which is which.
There is also my DeDuper script for automatically removing duplicate copies but keeping one remaining copy of each set. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send the others to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file. Same advice to backup applies.

i have a HP laptop, when i try to do certain things that require flash player it tells me i need to install the latest version so when i try it says its already installed. i have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions and it stll isnt working. I even checked the activex filtering and that doesn't seem to be the problem.
First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

my old version mac book air does not start up so i tried to reinstall lion but it says its locked. how do i unlock it with out being able to start up the system.
Could be. The "lock" isn't actually looking for a password.
WARNING: This will completely erase the ENTIRE hard drive.
What you would need to do is boot to recovery > disk utility > select the MAIN drive on the left side > partition > change partition layout from CURRENT to 1 PARTITION > ensure on the right side it says Format : Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) then push APPLY.
Then if it will allow us, close the windows until you see the 4 options popup again and select "Reinstall Mac OS X" select the Mac HD and you should be good to go! -

This problem seems loosely associated with display driver bugs, in my experience.
While Photoshop CS3 doesn't use OpenGL (except for 3D functions?), back when I used CS3 I saw display driver faults that were corrected by driver updates.
Best advice, assuming you have a PC, is to go to the web site of the maker of your video card and download/install their latest display driver release for your hardware and operating system.

iTunes keeps saying its the latest version. Ive downloaded a 4.3.5.ipsw but when I try and restore from this iTunes says the firmware isn't compatible...any idea's what to do next?
The iPod 3g will only support iOS up to 4.2.1 and nothing beyond that.

Update needed to dl apps but iTunes says its already up to date. It's currently at 2.2 and it needs to be at 4.0
