  • Where can I download or aquire the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator CS6?

Where can I download or aquire the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator CS6? I would like to be able to save files for HTML5 and CSS. According to the "Adobe Illustrator CS6 On Demand" book, I should be able to download the HTML5 Pack from the following link:  labs.adobe.com/downloads/illustrator_html5.html.  That link does not work. Please help.  Thanks.

If this is true the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator has been deprecated, then how is one to save Illustrator CS6 files for HTML5 and CSS now? Is there another workaround?

  • HT1338 If I have OS 7.5 installed on an external drive, can I start up from the external drive in that OS when my macbook pro is 10.7?

If I have OS 10.6 installed on an external drive, can I start up from the external drive if I have 10.7 installed on my macbook pro?

Provided that the MBP supports booting from that version of 10.6, and the install was from a retail disk (not a different Mac model), then yes. If it's a newer Pro that came with Lion, it may not boot to 10.6.

  • Do I need startup discs to upgrade hardware on MacBook Pro or can I restore the hard drive from from a Time Machine backup?

do I need startup discs to upgrade hardware on MacBook Pro or can I restore the hard drive from from a Time Machine backup?

Ok, well go and grab a small 2.5" hard drive enclosure so you can put the new drive in & temporarily use it like an external hard drive.
Download Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper and make a bootable clone of your current HDD on the new HDD.
Once that's done you can test the clone by booting from it. To do this hold Optioni while booting to select the external (new) drive. If everything looks ok, you can go ahead and swap over the HDD's.
    So much easier.

  • I am trying to use an education program that needs Java applets to install and use and it will not use Safari. When I download IE from the web it will not install. How can I get a browser that will work on my MacAir for travel use of this program?

I am trying to use and education program that needs Java applets and it will not run on Safari. IE will not install from the web. How do I get a browser that will work to install so I can use this program when I travel.

Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software.  Purchase Windows 7 or Windows 8.  Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows.  Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7.  VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows.  The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris.  It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc.  There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization.  The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion. A more recent comparison of Parallels, VM Fusion, and Virtual Box is found at Virtualization Benchmarks- Parallels 10 vs. Fusion 7 vs. VirtualBox. Boot Camp is only available with Leopard and later. Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows.
You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. Windows cannot be installed from an external optical drive.

  • Why won't my 2009 Macbook pro allow me to download the newest version of Aperture

So I'm trying to buy and download aperture from the apple page. It won't allow me to do so and I wonder if it is because I have a 2009 Macbook Pro. Do I need to buy an older version of Aperture?

Ceck, if your Mac can run 10.7.5
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP629
    or 10.8.4:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP654
You'll find all technical data in the Apple Menu.
If your Mac can run the System, buy the System at the AppStore. Mt. Lion will be directly available. For Lion visit an Apple Store and buy a thumbs drive installer.

  • Web design premium cs6 disc won't install...

Instead my autoplay is reading it as a picture disc and promts me to pick as you can see.  How would I go by fixxing this?

What happens if you execute that Install.app file?
Are you trying to install on a Mac?  It might be a case where you have a Mac disc where you need to have a Windows disc.... the first image you showed earlier mentions Windows Explorer.
If it is a Mac disk then chances are it will not work to activate a Windows installation from a download.
If you know you ordered a Windows version then you probably need to contact Adobe to get the correct disk sent to you.
If you mistakenly ordered the Mac version, then you can swap platforms if you follow the instructions on the page linked below:

  • Mountain lion won't install on macbook pro 3,1

We have a MacBook Pro  version 3,1 computer with 10.6.8 running.
Plenty of disc left, 2 Gb RAM.
The install process goes in a loop, from app store to www.apple.com/osx to pushing the "upgrade" button and back to the app store page.
I'm not really a Mac kind of person, it can tell.
I ran a hard disk utility to check and correct permissions but it didn't help.
any thoughts out there?  I just want to run lightroom 5 and it needs 10.7 or better.
    Can I buy 10.7 someplace?
    Thanks
    Darrell

    Hello darrellsmith,
While i currently have no solution or suggestion for your problem, i would like to mention that even though Mountain Lion technically supports your model MacBook Pro, i advise against upgrading to mountain lion. It will put significant strain on your system resources and most tasks will perform very slow. If you really do need Mountain Lion, at least upgrade your RAM to 4GB. I know that 2GB is the minimum requirements but you'll lose those 2GB by just booting up and starting Safari. Add the software you want to use on top of that and your performance will be severely impacted.
Also, make sure you have a good backup of all your data. Upgrading an older system and skipping a major release in the process can create some issues or bring issues to light that you already had but just were not aware of.
A possible solution could be to create a bootable installer on an external drive, instructions can be found here.
For your system, OS X 10.6.8 would be the recommended OS and will give the smoothest performance. You will, as you've noticed, be limited to the applications you can run.

  • Photoshop CS2 won't install on MacBook Pro (Core2Duo)

I made the mistake of letting my new MacBook Pro copy the files and applications from my PowerBook G4 last night, and Photoshop failed to copy. I figured that was no big deal as I was purchasing another license for the new system anyway. Now that I've tried to install the new software, the install repeatedly fails.
I've followed the tech information from Adobe and removed the old photoshop files/directories from the new system, and then attempted the install again. It fails each time before installing bridge.
Has anyone else figured out how to get CS2 to install on the latest MacBook Pro systems? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Samuel, this won't help you, but it may help some others.
I had CS2 installed on my good old TiBook 400MHz, and it worked fine there. When I got my new MBP C2D 2.33 yesterday, I followed the instructions for connecting via FireWire, and after 2 hours, everything copied over just fine. So far, everything works fine too, which is really amazing to me, including the Adobe CS2 applications.
I did make sure that my old TiBook was up-to-date, and ran Mac Janitor on it, and fixed permissions. That may have made the difference.
The only things which don't run now are the old OS9 applications, and Final Cut Express 3.0 (but there is a work-around using the esc key).
Hope this is encouraging to someone who is thinking about gettig a MBP C2D.

  • CS5 InDesign won't install on MacBook Pro

    Hi,
I've attempted 2x now to install InDesign via my CS5 installation discs on my MacBook Pro, and everything except InDesign loads each time. I get this error message:
    Exit Code: 7
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 1 fatal error(s), 3 error(s), 0 warning(s)
ERROR: Found payload conflicts and errors:
ERROR:  - Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5 depends on Flash Player to be installed.
ERROR:  - Adobe Flash CS5 depends on Flash Player to be installed.
FATAL ERROR: Conflicts were found in the selected payloads. Halting installation.
It tells me to restart my system and try to install again, which I do, but it still doesn't work. When I load the CS5 installation disc, Adobe automatically recognizes that everything except InDesign has properly loaded, and when I click the install button, it loops me back through the aforementioned circle.
    Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance for your time!

Yes, I installed the newest version of Flash Player for Mac OS 10.6 and rebooted, but got the same message.
I also installed Adobe Support Advisor and ran it - Adobe's site says "Adobe Support Advisor looks at your OS system information and reads your most recent CS installation log file when you start the application. To run a customized inspection, deselect Autorun Diagnostics At Launch and set other options in the Preferences panel."
I did the autorun first and got this message: "The module found no issues to report for the selected log file.
If you continue to have difficulties with the application,
    please contact Adobe Support: http://www.adobe.com/support"
So I ended program to deselect "Autorun Diagnostics," but then I got this message: "Creative Suite Product Install Inspector has identified the issue(s) that needs attention.
An issue report has been generated.
Adobe will use this issue report to help address the issue(s) in the future."
I restarted the ASA and ran according to Adobe's instructions, got the same message, so I packaged the issue and got this message: "Adobe Support Advisor will package up system information and product log files that may be needed by Adobe Support personnel in order to assist you with the issue(s).
This information can only be accessed by Adobe Support personnel when you open a support case with Adobe and if you provide the entire 'key' value you will receive after the upload will complete."
It then gave me a support case number, so I'm about to call Adobe and see if they can help me. :-(

  • Story Plus CC desktop app won't install on MacBook Pro

I have a subscription to Adobe CC Complete. I can use Story CC online but need offline access desperately for when I'm traveling, which is ALL the time. First it said I needed Adobe Air but wouldn't let that install through the Story online install page. So I downloaded and installed Air directly from the Adobe website. Online Story page still says I need to install Air first but, of course, it won't let me do that. Can anyone help me, please?

  • Logic pro won't install on macbook pro

I have Logic Studio 9.1.5 working on my iMac i7 under OS X 6.8.  It is an upgrade of an upgrade, etc going back to V 5.5.  I have the original Emagic key from Logic 5.5.  My recollection is that I had to use this to install the Logic Studio upgrade to get Logic Pro 8, but that when I upgraded to V9, the key was not necessary.
I'll be visiting some remote sites for recording later this fall, and decided to move Logic to my MacBook Pro for the trip. It came with Lion.  I installed the minimal setup from the Logic Studio package to get Logic Pro 9 on the MBP. It asked me for the serial number and to insert the EMagic key at the start of the install process.  Once installed, it would not launch under Lion so I installed the 9.1.5 update.  When I tried to launch after this update, Logic started up, but I was asked for the serial number and Emagic key again.  This time, it reported that my key is not elegible for this upgrade.  Makes no sense, given I had this running with no probllem on the iMac.
Have there been any other steps required to install under Lion?  Is there anything else anyone can suggest to look into?
