My published project is all pixelated and blurry

Not sure why or how I can fix this but my finished Premier Elements 13 projects published to my computer are all fuzzy and pixelated.  Can't figure out how to fix this.  Tried starting from scratch twice.
Thank You

ffinder
Thanks for the additional information. Appreciated.
With Premiere Elements 11, 12, and 13, the project takes over setting the project preset to match the properties of the video that is first dragged to the project's Timeline.
Some times it does it right, sometimes not. In the not situation, the project does not give you the closest fit but rather it gives you its default which represents 1920 x 1080 16:9 @ 29.97 interlaced frame per second. From what I have read, the Fuji XP Fine Pik series is probably recording 640 x 480 4:3.
If you decided to work the grand project with components from other projects, the export settings of the 3rd part may have been set inconsistently with 1 st and 2nd part.
First, some preliminary information...what is the frame size and frame rate of parts 1, 2, and 3 as seen in Premiere Elements 13 Properties for each part. (Right click part's thumbnail in Expert workspace Project Assets, and select Properties from the pop up menu). Do you see 640 x 480 @ 30 frames per second for each of part 1, 2, and 3? Or is 3 different than the rest?
If they are all alike and 640 x 480 @ 30 frames per second, then I would like you to go through the following workflow.
1. Open Premiere Elements 13 to its Expert workspace, and go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings.
2. Under Change Settings, change the project preset to
NTSC
FLIP
Flip Mino and Ultra 30p
OK out of there, and see the new project dialog. In the new project dialog, make sure that there is a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Settings on This Project"
OK out of there.
3. Back in the Expert workspace, import your 1, 2, and 3 with the program's Add Media/Files and Folders.
4. For your export use
Publish+Share
Computer
QuickTime
with preset = NTSC DV
5. Click on the Advanced Button/Video Tab for that preset.
6. Set the Advanced Video Tab fields according to the screenshot below, starting with changing the video compression to H.264.
In order to type in 640 and 480 Frame Width and Frame Height, if there is a chain icon in the box to the right of those fields, click on the chain to remove it.
At the bottom of the export settings where is says Bitrate Settings, put a check mark next to Limit Data Rate to _____kbps and type in 7000. (Not seen in screenshot, got cut off).
Please review and consider. If you need clarification, please stop and ask about what needs clarification.
Looking forward to your follow up.

  • Replacement iPhone 5c screen pixelated and blurry

I got my iPhone 5c replaced at the Apple store Monday and it's only Tuesday and now all pictures in all apps and even taking pictures are super pixelated and blurry . My old iPhone was replaced for mic and speakerphone issues, never a single problem I had with my perfect screen . What is going on & how do I make it stop?! Do I have to get them to replace it again ?? I can't just live with not seeing my screen . It's a brand new phone ! I rather have mic issues and use my headphones than a blurry screen :(

Took it in today, they told me nothing was wrong and sent me on my way . I am so upset!! It's still all pixelated and blurry, it's hurting my eyes :(

  • Viewing content within any PDF is pixelated and blurry

    Hi,
I use Acrobat Pro 10 at work and in the past week any PDF document I look at and create, the content looks pixelated (badly) and blurry, not the clean, crisp view I have come to expect with PDFs. Doesn't matter which PC I work from, it is the same pixelated and blurry view I get.
Our Desktop team don't understand why this is happening to me only. They have cleaned up my profile, thinking that this was possibly causing the issue, but it hasn't fixed it. They have also unistalled and re-installed Acrobat Pro 10, but this hasn't made any difference.
I haven't changed any settings in Priorities when I come to print to Adobe PDF.
Does anyone know/have any thoughts/suggestions as to why I'm getting the pixelated and blurry look with any PDF that I view?
In the meantime I will keep looking to see if I can find anything that might help with this issue. It's frustrating me and the Desktop team that we can't get to the bottom of the issue, as I can't really read PDF documents properly when they are in this state
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Gillian ,
Is it happening with all the PDF' or any specific one'?
Which platform do you work on?
Try repairing Acrobat if you haven't tried that.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Repair Acrobat Installation
Or try Updating it to the latest version.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Check for Updates
    See if that helps.

  • I've been using Aperture now for the past 7 months and really happy with it, however in the past two days any photos I download are heavily pixelated and blurry. When I download the same shots to any other program they are fine.

    Hi,
I've been using Aperture now for several months without any issues except for the last couple of days...when I now download my shots from the memory card the photos are heavily pixelated and blurry but when loaded to iPhoto they are fine.
Can someone tell me what the problem could be and how to fix it.

Is Aperture doing any processing?  ("Window→Show Activity" -- anything there?)
Are the Images pixilated/degraded when shown in the Viewer as well as in the Browser?  (Double-click an Image to open it in the Viewer.)
How 'bout at 100%? (In the Viewer, press "z" to zoom to 100%.  The "z" key toggles the zoom.)
Does generating a new Preview remove the pixilation?  (Select an Image in the Browser, hold down "{Option}" and click "Photos→Generate Preview".)

  • Why is everything pixelated and blurry in CS6?

    Hi,
A few months ago I installed the trial versions of Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop on my MacBookPro.  After they expired I purchased the standard student edition and used the provided key number to unlock the full versions.  However, everything (including the sample fonts list, icons and opening menu) are pixelated and blurry.  As a design student, it is incredibly distracting to see font that isn't smooth like it should be on a retina display...
I've updated Indesign to version 8.0.1 but to no avail.  What could be wrong and how might I solve this problem?
    Thank you,
    Cuong

@Tereyn "Since the originator has not stated that the software was tested on a non-retina display how can he/she or you be sure the display is the origin of the problem?"
Yes he does say that he is using a retina display.. Did you even read the post.
"As a design student, it is incredibly distracting to see font that isn't smooth like it should be on a retina display..."
If you have another problem why don't you create your own post?
It's still annoying for me that there isn't a retina fix yet and it's been a few years now. It's just a few menu icons. Fix the retina issue please!

Boot from your installer disc. If the problem is still present, then take it in for service.

  • Just got a 5C, is it normal that when you transition from Siri to calling someone that the symbols along the top or screen go all feint and blurry?

Just got a 5C, is it normal that when you transition from Siri to calling someone that the symbols along the top or screen go all feint and blurry?

I have one it works fine. yeah, the Mac instructions aren't great. Try this.
    (1) make sure you have your VCR audio and video outputs connected to the side with the two selection switches.
    (2) be sure you know the difference between the audio and video outputs no matter which colors you use.
    (3) make sure the indicator light is green on cable that connects to your computers firewire port.
    (4) when you operate the vcr through Imovie. you will only be able to play your vhs tape. so to fast forward or reverse. you must use your vcr remote or your hand.
    (5) to import your footage just click on import in imovie.
That should solve your problem. Also, in the future put these questions in the imovie forum.
P.s. if this is helps you give me a vote or two. LOL

  • Publishing Projects with Web Objects and YouTube Interactions

How do I publish projects with Web Objects and YouTube interactions to ensure they appear in my published project?
I am trying to publish my project, which contains Web objects and YouTube interactions, and they will not appear if I publish them either as swf or html (sometimes the Web object will appear, but not the YouTube interactions). Both objects work if I preview them on the stage.

    Hi,
You need to copy your published output to any web server to make Web Objects and Yout Tube interaction work.

  • Published Project for MAC (.app) and will not open external PDF files

I have two captivate (7.x) projects that I published as Win .exe apps, and they work fine.  Published the same two projects as MAC (.app) and when I run the app on the iMac, and click a click box to open an external PDF, nothing happens. The PDFs are located in the "root" folder with the .app file.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to open some PDF files on Acrobat 5 that I recently scanned at a Fed Ex office with no issue whatsoever. I could extract pages, delete pages, etc, the software Acrobat 5 worked fine.
What I wonder is there a way I can make a change to a PDF file that will then allow me to open it in Acrobat 5? I have a gut feeling there is an adjustment that I can make in Adobe Reader after opening it that will then make the file accessible in Acrobat 5. I am playing with it but no luck thus far.

  • Camera flash- photo turning out all white and blurry

Every time i take a photo w the iphone 4s if the flash is on or even if the flash is set on auto  it shows up all white and you can not see the photo and it's blurry. Is there a way to adjust the flas strength?

Take the case off that is reflecting the flash into the camera lens.

  • Opening a client's InDesign file looks pixelated and blurry.

I have InDesign CS4 and I'm having issues with the files that one of my clients sends to me.  The photos look poor quality, very pixelated, even if I change the settings for View > Display Performance > High Quality...Even the text fields look blurry.  I've replaced the graphics by selecting the graphic and going to File > Place, but the graphics still don't look that great.  Is this common when opening someone else's files and are there any ways to easily resolve the problem from my end?

When I print this as a PDF (after "placing" the EPS graphics with the original)  the text and EPS-based graphics look a little better (not suberb, though), but the rasterized images still look dodgy, even though the originals included are "placed" back in the InDesign file again.  This might be adequte if the final, desired medium were a PDF, but I'm taking these graphics and putting them in Flash.
I finally told my client that I needed PSD files instead, as this doesn't seem like it's a straight-forward fix for either her or I.  I am, however, interested in trying out anything else to find resolve in this, since this issue is likely to come up again and not only with me.
Many thanks to all of you for trying to help me find a solution!

  • Why are my placed drawings pixeled and blurry?

I've tried to place drawings (originally from a pdf file) in .ai, .jpg. .pdf and .eps format in an indesign document version CS5. They all appear blurry, despite looking nice and sharp in illustrator. What am I doing wrong?

    Sheila,
Bob, like me and many forum regulars, is subscribed to the entire InDesign forum and does most of his responding by email becasue he finds it more efficient. In any topic you are likely to get duplicate responses because many users have an opportunity to answer the question, and may be doing so simultaneously, or simply may not have received the previous posts in their email yet.
The only way you can avoid getting additional email from your thread is if you return to the forum page for the topic and turn off your email notifications.

  • Preview works; Published Output is all black and audio fails (.exe &.swf)

Original demonstration videos were CP4, I converted them to CP5 and added audio.  Preview mode displays everything as intended.  When publishing to a local location in .exe or .swf just displays a window where the movie should be playing but it is completely black.  Audio begins to play but stops at the same time the screen goes black.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player 10.  I have attempted modifying the Quality settings from high (24 bit) to low (8 bit) but that didn't change anything.
I have successfully upgraded and published previous CP4 ot CP5 videos.  Unsure as to why the last 3 video upgrades I tried are failing.
If anyone can offer any assistance, it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks, Julie

Excellent, thank you.  I apologize for any inconvenience.  I searced all topics for black screen and found nothing; then discovered a few topics right on the front page that were related.
Thanks again for the quick response.  Published output works.

  • My photoshop thumbnail is pixelated and blurry! HELP

im having to make a thumbnail in photoshop CS6 that is 125x100 & 72 DPI. When i put the image together the words are blurry and pixelated. im not sure why this is happening or how to fix it..
this is the thumbnail at 125x100 and 72 DPI which is the directions given and its so pixelated!

I see nothing "blurry" or "pixelated" there.  What I see is slightly jagged text, which is not surprising at such a small size at such a low resolution (72 ppi).  That is normal and expected behavior.
Try different fonts and check your text options to make surer the text is antialiased to the degree that it can under the circumstances.
It would help to know if this is going to be printed or if it's just for the screen (web).  Please clarify.
