My purchase history is gone

i have had my account for several years and have purchased hundreds of songs, apps etc. my purchase history is gone, it appears as if my account is new.

Just a bit more information:
I had just swapped ipads with my daughter and was setting the "new" ipad up with all of my music etc. First thing I did was update the ipad with iOS 6. When attempting to add content to the ipad I got the message about the device already being authorized on five computers so I cleared the authorized computers.
As soon as I did that and authorized the device on my my computer I got the message my account had never been used in itunes and I needed to check the account, That sounded strange but still I wasn't worried because i actually had all of my content.
It was only when I realized the apps on my ipad would not update did i start thinking I had a real issue. I connected the ipad the my computer and tried to update the apps with itunes and got the message the apps could not be updated because I did not own a major version.
I have no idea who to talk to about this and Apple has done a wonderful job making sure you can't easily find who to contact there about this issue. All I know is I have purchased many songs, apps, movies, etc. and this is not cool.

  • Furious: Purchase history completely gone?

I am furious.  I had bought a song on my newly updated phone, and then plugged it into my newly updated iTunes on my computer.  The moment the phone was plugged in, song song was taken off of my phone, it didn't go onto my computer, and the history of the purchase was completely wiped out (the song doesn't even show up in my purchased category in the iTunes store), except for the invoice on my account, and the email receipt in my inbox.  I think iTunes is trying to make me buy the song again, and it is ******* me off horribly.

I think iTunes is trying to make me buy the song again
It won't work.  You will buy it from Amazon MP3.

  • All my purchased history in appstore are gone

recently when I check my purchased history I wanted to download back all the old apps that I deleted but I found that all my purchased history are gone, any solution to help me solve this?

Note: not all apps are available, if the developer pull the app then it's gone.
Try iPhone's App Store app > Updates (bottom right) > Purchases > re-download here.
make sure you have Wi-Fi connection.

You can contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department at no charge using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find an "Email Us" button) and explain your problem to them.

  • Everything is Gone, only thing left is Purchase History.

Please help me, I got a new computer and all the stuff on my i-pod is gone then all the songs on my computer are gone, but all the songs I've bought are in my purchase history for my account. Can anybody please help me I have bought at least $320.00 in music and videos if anybody knows how to get the songs from the purchase history to itunes please help me!

I'd suggest calling the iTunes service department - there have been similar cases where subsequently the songs were "re-queued" for downloading.
Oh, and of course - consider adding something like an external hard drive and a backup software to your computer setup. Sure, it costs extra, but most of the time it's easier and faster than hunting after lost data...
    Good luck!

  • Hard drive crashed and has been fixed/replaced, now I have new ipod, log in on itunes, and my library of songs is gone, although I can still see them in my purchase history.  How can I get those songs back!?

My computer has crashed several times since I bought my first ipod in 2005.  Recently, it crashed so badly that my fella who fixed it just wiped everything off it and reinstalled things.  I have a new ipod now and just got my computer back.  I log in to itunes, register my ipod, and, its bad enough that everytime my computer crashes and is fixed that itunes thinks I am connecting yet another computer to my account  (it believes I have four computers/devices but I have only ever had one ipod and one computer simultaneously),. but on top of that, all my songs listed in my purchase history are not in my library. Hundreds of songs.
How can I download them again?  I was told in the Apple Store to deauthorize the computer and reauthorize it and it should begin downloading my previous purchases into my library. I tried that, but to no avail.
    Help anyone?

It is the users responsibility to maintain a backup of their files.
If you have failed to keep a backup, that is not good.
If the content is on your iDevice and it was purchased via iTunes, connect the device (DO NOT SYNC) then select File > Transfer Purchases.
If the content is on the device but was not purchased via iTunes, you're out of luck mostly.  Do a google search, you can find utilities that will allow you to extract the content.
If you are in the US and running iTunes 10.3 or later, there is an option to redownload previously purchased iTunes content.  To do this, in iTunes select Purchased, then at the bottom select Download Previously Purchased.  There are options for Music, Apps, and iBooks.  Select the "Not in My Library" option and download what you want.

  • Apps gone, not in purchase history

ok so i backed up, then restored my iphone. everything is back except my apps. they were all downloaded right from my iphone. When i looked at my acct on itunes there are only my 2 most recent downloads in my purchase history. i realize there pry is no magic button to return them all. but isnt there a list of all them somewhere? or a button in my account info that im just not seeing? Thanks

the only thing i changed is my credit card info when my old one expired. I did that pry about 3 months ago. The other night i was redownloading all my apps and all the paid ones came up free and showed the "you already bought this app..." message but one. Its a $9.99 one too. and i just got the repeipt for it and had to pay for it again. how should i handle this? in the email receipt it has a link "report a problem" but it just takes me to the download itunes web site. should i just call apple? thanks again.

  • Where has my Purchase History Gone?!

I've been buying music from iTunes for as long as I can remember - yet my purchase history it's saying I've only ever purchased two songs and no albums - it's all disappeared!! This is showing on all my accounts (iPad and MacBook Pro).
I have an iPhone 5 running the latest ISO software (6.1.2).
    Any advice/help appreciated!

Thanks for replying randers4 - I had already emailed them but wondered if I would get a quicker response this way.
I have managed to find the answer I needed (I had hidden my iCloud purchases so had to go into my account to reactivate them).  Phew!

You can't see your card redemption history - you can try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) but they might not be able to help you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
You've checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases

  • Unable to view purchased history in Mac App Store

I am unable to view my purchased history in the mac app store.
I just purchased a new macbook air and went to the app store in the hopes of downloading the apps I purchased onto this new this new device. I am unable to view them on this device although I have been able to view them on my macbook pro.
Is there a way to restore the list of apps onto this new device?
I have gone to the individual apps and re-bought them. Once I try to buy I get a message informing me that I have already purchased this app in the past and it starts to download. But it still does not appear in the purchased list once the download is complete.
Moreover, I have purchased adobe elements 9 and I am unable to re-buy it since adobe has released elements 10.
    Please help.
    MJ

    Launch iTunes on the MBAir.
From the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer
Now back to the menu bar again click Store > Sign Out
Now follow the instructions here >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Make sure you are using the same Apple ID and password that you used on the MBPro.

  • An album has disappeared from my library and purchase history, how do i get it back?

i bought an album on Christmas day and have had it since, went on iTunes to listen to it and it was gone, went into purchase history to re-download it and it was gone from there, how do i get it back as it cost me £10.99 and i don't want to have to re-buy it.

You are logged in with the same account that you bought it with it, you haven't moved countries, and it's still in the store ? If you've moved countries or the rights-holder has removed it from the store then you won't be able to redownload it - do you have a copy of it on your backup of your downloads/library ?
If you haven't moved countries and it's still in the store but it's not showing in the Purchased link for redownloading then check to see if you've hidden it from there : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases.

  • Complete app purchase history

OK, stupid move -- I didn't have a backup of my apps and the iOS upgrade process failed (I think because it was upgrading iTunes at the same time).  So all my apps are gone and I have to redownload and reinstall them.  They're in my app purchase history but I had a lot of apps.  Each purchase might have several apps so the purchase summary line isn't long enough to show them all.  That means clicking on each one to see the list of apps included in that purchase.
Is there any way to list all apps that were purchased in one long list rather than by purchase?  Then I'd at least be able to capture the list and go through them one by one without having to be in my purchase history.
Or is there at least a way to capture the list of purchases?  Many do show all apps on the summary list since there were only one or two that day.  I've done screen captures but text would allow me to copy and paste into the search box in the App Store.
I know I'm in for a long task here just getting the apps back and then setting them up again.  I'm just looking for a way to at least make this part a little less painful.  Any other suggestions are most welcome.  Except telling me to read about backups and do it next time -- I've figured that one out already!
Actually, the reason for not syncing was that I don't want to sync music to the iPad.  I have a lot on the computer but I don't want to transfer it.  I suppose there's a way to do apps only -- and it's probably right where I'd easily find it.  I'll research it this time -- or if there's an article someone wants to point me to that'd be great.
    Thanks.
    Mike

You may have to make do with the purchase history as is.
