My purchased television shows are not in my itunes library

Hello,
I hope someone can assist me with my dilemma. I searched these listings for my issue and the only similar response was about checking preferences and settings and television shows is checked.
I purchased 2 seasons of a cartoon for my kids and the 1st season is listed in my Itunes library under television shows but the 2nd season (downloaded after the first) only appears under "purchased from Ipad" and not television shows. One of the issues is that I cannot access through media sharing and apple tv this 2nd season and I am trying to find out how to get these Itunes purchased shows into my itunes library. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

  • Which apps "are not in your iTunes library" ?

I get the message "There are apps on" phone "which are not in your iTunes library.  Would you like to back up these apps from your iPhone?" when synching.
How do I find out which apps these are?  I'm trying to determine if they were ones that I decided I don't like and deleted.  Or if there's something else that has gone wrong.

that's my problem...I don't want to have something I've ruled out show back up again - makes it hard to figure out which one I liked.  (and there's always that pesky memory limit)
It's unusual for me to download directly - only when I'm on the road and there's an upgrade I need.
But I do things like download 10 free Sudoku apps, play them on different devices, and go back to iTunes to delete the ones I don't like so they'll be gone from all the devices.
Where's the list "applications A, B, C are on your iPhone, but not iTunes"?
I'm not afraid of a command line if that's where I need to go.

  • My purchased TV shows are not listed in my iTunes library....yikes!

I recently purchased season two of Flipping Out and only two episodes are listed in the tv show library. I found the rest of the other episodes in the purchased tab, but they don't show in the library.
I went into my music folder and opened the itune folder to double check that the tv show had the items in the correct folder. All of the episodes of the show are listed there: music>itunes>TV shows>flippingout>all episodes.
I really want to be able to see the all the episodes under the Flipping Out Season 2, not just two episodes (which happen to be 4 & 5), without having to spend time searching.
I did search iTunes help and the discussion forum but I didn't find anything applicable.
    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

  • Is there any way to tell what songs on my iPod are NOT in my iTunes library?

There are some songs on my iPod that are not in my current iTunes library. I ran into a problem with album artwork and may need to do a full restore. If I do this, however, the songs that are not in my library will be lost. Is there any way, through iTunes, a third-party program, or directory digging to tell if a song is not in your iTunes library?

Select the iPod in iTunes then File > Transfer purchases.
If these are not iTunes purchases, simply restore them to iTunes from the backup of your HD.

  • Moving audio files around that are not in the iTunes library

    Hi,
Can someone please confirm some behaviour for me. This is regarding iTunes (on OS X naturally) and moving files around that aren't located within the iTunes library.
Most of the files I use are located within the iTunes library, they are fine. However i do maintain a number of files outside of the iTunes library which i primarily use as a DJ. I would like to keep these files seperate, however I do move them occasionally, especially as I classify new music into categories and such.
On my previous powerbook, I noticed that I could move these files and iTunes would still be able to find them, without my manually notifying iTunes where to find them. I did notice a hiccup though, and once when I was recovering from a backup, a bunch of files that i moved weren't found by iTunes.
on my lovely new macbook pro I'm experimenting with the same thing, but it hasn't seemed to been working so far.
my question: Does OS X track where files get moved to? Does iTunes for Mac automatically fix it's library after some period of time through the OS?
I'd really like to confirm this behaviour and see what I can / can't count on.
    thanks,
    conrad

I dont think you can rely on itunes to keep track of your files consistently if you move them around all the time. One solution would be to make a "smart folder" in finder/file/new smart folder. You could call this smart folder "chicago hard house set" and set it to find the tag "chicago hard house set" Then in itunes when you find a track or loop you want to use in that set just add the tag "chicago hard house set" to the composer line under "get info". the smart folder will find the tag in itunes and put a the file in the smart folder, if you keep the smart folder on your desktop (or wherever) Ableton will see the folder and let you access all the files in it. So you can preview all your sound files in itunes and tag them to a specific set and they will show up in that sets smart folder. I use the smart folders to keep track of multiple tracks when recording with Digital Performer onto multiple hard drives at one time.

  • Why do I have extra songs in my iPhone playlist that are not on my iTunes library?

After doing the iOS7 update (and iOS7.0.2) I decided to add my music to my phone (I never had music on it before).
I discovered that there were 20 very random and obscure broadway songs that were on my iPhone in addition to the 60 songs I just synced. They had the iCloud icon by them, unlike the songs I had just added.
After doing research I found that the broadway songs were technically "purchased" on iTunes although they are not songs I would have ever purchased- in fact I have never once purchased anything on iTunes.  This isn't my worry though, I am assuming it must have been some random free download I did at some point?
I went to settings > music > and turned show all music off.  This did NOT work for all of them and only solved the problem 80%.  There are still 4 of the random song on my iPhone. They DO NOT show up in my iTunes library on my computer and don't even exist on my computer.
With the other songs I can left swip and delete but these 4 songs won't!  Why won't these four songs left swipe?
I am going crazy and have tried restarting my phone, restarting iTunes, re-syncing, turning off the iCloud.  NOTHING WORKS.
Please help.  I am a normally a very smart and tech-savvy person and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.  I don't want to wipe everything- which as a solution is a pretty weak solution.
Why won't certain songs left swipe to delete off my phone when I am in the music app?
Why do I have extra songs on my phone that don't appear on iTunes on my computer?
Where did these songs come from and how do I get rid of them?
    Much thanks!

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!!  (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
    Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
    2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
    Should solve your problem :~)

  • How Can I delete all the tracks that are not in my Itunes Library?

I am runnig out of disk space and i just want to have more space. My files are located everywhere on my mac and I saw that I have a lot of songs that are in my itunes music folder and the same are in an other folder. I want to keep everything that is in Itunes and delete the rest out of my mac!
    Thanks

You can select some files in iTunes then right click consolidate.
Then delete the original files not in the iTunes media folder.
This way you don't have to do it all at once.
Note that when you add files to iTunes, they are copied into the iTunes media folder so anything you added in the past is already in the iTunes media folder. Consolidating wont do anything to those. Likely all you need to do is delete the original.

  • How do I identify items purchased on iPad but not transferred to iTunes library?

In attempting to update the iOS on my iPad from 4.3 to 4.3.2, I get a message that I have items purchased on my iPad that have not been transferred to my iTunes library. It asks me if I want to continue with the update, or cancel it and first transfer my items purchased to my iTunes library before updating my iOS.
I have attempted to transfer these items in 2 ways. I have right-clicked my device in iTunes and selected "Transfer purchases", and a screen opens that tells me that it is transferring purchases to my iTunes library, but the sync completes very quickly and I suspect that nothing is synced. I also have used the File/Transfer Purchases from iPad menu in iTunes with the same result (message that it is transferring purchases, but the sync completes immediately). Yet every time I try to update to iOS 4.3.2 I get the same message that I have items purchased on my iPad that need to be transferred to my iTunes library.
At this point in time, I am uncertain whether I really do have items purchased on my iPad that need to be transferred to my iTunes library. Or if in fact I do, how do I identify such items as the Transfer Purchases approaches I have used in iTunes isn't transferring those items?
I could brute force it and maually compare every song and app I have purchased from iTunes to make sure they exist in my library, but with hundreds of apps and songs purchased, that could be a very time-consuming proposition. Ideas, anyone?

I've gotten this message with the last two upgrades. After 'transferring' purchases, it continued to appear.
I just disregarded the warning and everything seems fine now.

  • MP4 Movie Files are not added to Itunes Library

I have a Macbook Pro I just recently got a week ago, and I have been using Itunes in Mac OS X, but when I tried to add some of my MP4 movies into Itunes on Mac OS, the files do not appear in the library and there is not copy bar for copying the files into the Itunes folder. I have had this problem ever since I started using Ituens on Mac OS and I tried reinstalling Itunes and the same problem comes up. I know the problem is not with the MP4 files because I added the files into Itunes on Windows XP on my other computer and they are added just fine. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I think I figured out why the MP4 files were not being added into the Itunes Library, it is because Mac OS X apparently cannot copy files onto a Windows Formatted external harddrive, even though I thought I could.

  • All songs are not adding to iTunes library

I recently organized the "My Music" folder with 7 subfolders containing approx. 4GBs each.
I also had a lot of dead links in iTunes and decided to do delete my current library and re-add everything.
It should be as simple as adding the "My Music" folder, *however all the songs were not added (most but not all).* What made me relize was when I added my iPod playlist and all songs could not be found. I searched the my music folder for "*.mp3" which returned approx 5200 files, but the iTunes library only has approx. 5000.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Any ideas on how to fix it?

What type of songs/videos are they?
    Are any protected.
Open Quicktime and try to play the songs/videos. Do they play in Quicktime?

  • Mp3 are not added to itunes library

    Hi,
I've got an album in mp3s on my computer.
When I try adding them to iTunes, only the last 5 tracks are added to the library.
However, i can listen to the first tracks in the finder, using preview mode.
Is there a way to add them to the itunes library ?
    Thanks,
    Thierry NC

First, are you sure the tracks aren't there? Did you drag them to an empty playlist window? It may be they are there but they aren't tagged correctly and you'll miss them in a crowded library window.
Some mp3s have issues in iTunes. Try an application called MP3Scan&Repair to repair the files. Some have posted with mp3 problems in the past which this cured.

  • How do you delete songs from iphone5, that are not in your iTunes library on the computer?! I have the spot unchecked where it says show all music and I still have songs on my iPhone that I want gone, but they're not in my iTunes library...HELP

I have a iPhone 5 with the most up to date software and I have songs appearing on my phone that I've deleted prior too from iTunes on the computer. How do I remove them from my phone, I've tried the left to right swipe and that just plays the songs! :/ Can anyone help me, I'd be forever grateful if I didn't have to go back to the store! I went I today abc he unchecked the show all music and there's still songs I don't want on my iPhone! :(

The answer to the question in the title of the thread is yes, but it is not necessarily a good idea. At some point you are likely to find you need to restore your iPod for one reason or another, or it could be lost, stolen or damaged. If your songs aren't on your computer, and backed up too, then you will be less than happy.

  • Some songs purchased through Facebook are not syncing onto iTunes, how can I fix this problem?

Good morning to all of you in this community.  The reason for this discussion being started up is because I am having trouble uploading some mp3 files that I purchased through Facebook.  most of the songs uploaded successfully with no problem, bit there are a few that I can't find although I downloaded them. I am a new user to Apple products, so this is quite an annoyance to have to be dealing with. If anyone has any helpful suggestions I would appreciate it greatly, thank you.

Interesting, this is the first time I hear one can purchase songs via Facebook. Note that unless youpurchased the songs from iTunes, you will not be able to add them to the Music app on your iPHone.

  • Can you keep extra songs on your iPod that are not in your iTunes library, and not lose these songs every time you want to delete something from your iPod in the future?

I have all these songs that I want to store on my iPod but not on my computer, and I know that by choosing to manually manage my music I can still hang on to these songs when I add new songs to my iPod.  However, what if I want to delete songs off of my iPod in the future?  Will I lose all of the extra music that is on my iPod but not my computer, due to the fact that the only way to delete songs seems to be by syncing?

  • How do I delete songs from iPhone that are not in my iTunes library. "Swiping" to delete it does not work as the delete option does not appear.

Just tried to remove all songs by changing synch entire music library to selected playlists, didn't select anything and says 0 songs at top, however the 5 **** songs that I'm trying to remove are still left on my phone!! This is so stupid but bugging me so much!!

    Hi, Jixx0615.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
When you try to delete from a device running iOS 7, make sure to hold your finger on the song for a few seconds before swiping to the left. This should expose the red Delete button.
    Try Again,
