"My Questions" still lists my question "unresolved" AFTER it got "solved"

2-12-06
I marked the reply as having "solved" my question, but the
"My Questions" reminder still lists my question as "unresolved".
Perhaps because I sent a reply to the person that replied to my
question?

Hi, Bill -
In addition to marking the specific reply as "Solved", at the top of the thread (above your initial post asking the question) should be a box (the one I just checked on is pale-blue). In that box is a choice to mark the qustion as "answered". Click that. In the new screen is a place to add an additional comment (you do not need to add one) and a Mark as Answered button - click that button.
That will clear the question from the list in the sidebar, although it may take some time (and perhaps a log out and back in) in order to have it actually disappear from the display.

  • How to fix the " flashing question mark after the finder icon when starting up" withou an apple keyboard?

    Hi
I am wondering How to fix the " flashing question mark after the finder icon when starting up" without an apple keyboard. I have 2 of those .7Ghz emacs so just wanna fix them
    Thx

    Hi,
    >I am using a wireless standard keyboard so maybe the emac doesn't regognise it
Installation of driver software may be required. Do not expect any wireless device to automatically work with a Mac unless guaranteed to do so. In a case like this, use a wired USB keyboard (a PC keyboard should be OK) and a wired mouse to begin with.

  • Not solved with Blinking Folder with Question Mark after Erasing Hard Drive

Thanks for the reply, held command+R again and it is trying to pick up WiFi, but it's not picking up my network and won't accept the password even when I try to put it in manually. Any thoughts on that?
Me too had tried the command+R and failed to manually connect to my network. Can anyone help?

Well, it was solved. I shifted to other place and tried other WIFis. One of the WiFi had the 2002f problem and another was fine, so the reinstall worked smoothly eventually.
On the apple support page it says that Supported network configurations and protocols includs both WPA/WPA2, not matter what they are, but it might not be true.

  • Question marks after every sentence in Mail

I use to use Entourage as my default mail program on my Mac. This year I switched over to Mail and also switched my internet provider. Now when I write certain people, they get a question mark after every sentence (this is what it looks like: )
Anyone know what causes this? Remedies? It seems to be people who are on PCs. Is it Mail or possibly my new intenet provider somehow? This was never an issue before.
    Thanks

I apologise in advance if this is not the right forum, but I need to do a reformat on this computer.  My question is, after deactivation of CC, PS, LR and Bridge do I need to uninstall them as well?

If you are going to reformat the hard drive, wiping out all data on the computer, there is no need to uninstall.  Deactivation is enough.

  • Elements are still listed immediate after deletion

    Hi everyone!
After assigning the deletion of a file, panels in Bridge don't get updated.
The selected files are still listed. Seemingly nothing has happened.
i When I continue deleting files the application crashes.
After a re-start of the application or a manual update of the view the selected files aren't listed properly.
Bridge has worked fine for lots of months.
This problem occurs since the last data import from my SD card failed. There was an unreadable-sector on my hard disk that's the reason the import failed and my PC re-started.
Why does elements assigned to delete do not disappear at next second?
    I'm running Bridge CS3 on a 32bit-Vista.
Kind regards and a blessed Christmas whishes,
    Christian Schlusche

Does this occur in all folders, or just the one where the SD failed data was sent to? If just one folder then visit problem folder and go to tools/cache/purge cache for folder xx.
If that does not work there is always the reset preferences option by starting bridge while holding down the ctrl key and selecting all three option in reset window.

  • Start up disk full flashing file question mark after bootable back up attem

My MacBook Pro flashes a file with a question mark after a bootable back up attempt. Any help or suggestions please. Tried Disk Warrior. PRAM reset, disk utility. Hard drive is working.
    Thanks,
    Kim
PS. Disk Warrior program warns of "not enough space" when trying to create a new directory.

    Hi kbtb,
Is all the data on the drive backed up? What if you wipe the drive and reinstall a fresh OS, I'd be curious if that works. It sounds like the startup error is indicative of a data directory corruption problem. How much free space is on the HD?

    Hey linfrommi,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having trouble locating some application after the update to iOS 7. To troubleshoot this issue, let’s reset the home screen layout of your iPhone, which should move all of your applications to the second “page”:
    Reset iPhone settings - iPhone

  • I got a flashing folder with a question mark. I got a new hard drive and upgraded to 4 gigs and can't open anything or reload the operating system? Help?

I got a flashing folder with a question mark. I got a new hard drive and upgraded to 4 gigs and can't open anything or reload the operating system? Help? FYI: I have been using boot camp with windows 7 and started getting a kernal_data_Page_error and it would reboot windows, i was trying to do a chkdsk on the next reboot, but thats when i started getting this issue. I have put in a new hard drive and went from 2 gigs to 4. I can not get the computer to do anything, even the monitor does not show anything now????

    Prep your new drive:
    Drive Preparation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs,) then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Install OS X.

  • I am having trouble removing songs from my iPhone.  i have unchecked songs in the library on my mac, but they still show up on phone after syncing.  how do I remove them?

I am having trouble removing songs from my iPhone.  i have unchecked songs in the library on my mac, but they still show up on phone after syncing.  how do I remove them?

    Hi asims01,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The information below may be able to answer your questions about how to delete songs from your iPhone:
Deleting songs downloaded to your device
    Tap the Music app.
Tap More > Songs at the bottom.
Scroll or search for the song you would like to delete from your device.
Swipe right to left on the song, and then tap Delete.
Note: You must be in Artists, Songs, or Albums view to delete songs from your device. Deleting from a playlist won't remove a song from your iOS device.
Also, this information can be found on page 64 of the iPhone User Guide for iOS 7
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.
If you have iOS 7, this will delete the song from local storage, but the song will still appear with a cloud symbol in the Music app, as you've noticed. To hide the iTunes in the Cloud purchases, navigate to Settings > iTunes & App Store, and disable "Show All: Music”
There may be a few orphaned songs on your iPhone that were partially downloaded or corrupted in some way. If that is the case, you can erase all of the music from your phone.  Follow the instructions below and select the Music app under Usage:
iPhone, iPad, and iPod: Understanding capacity
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1867
I hope this information helps ....
