My Quicktime 7 pro key didn't unlock the Pro features....HELP!

I bought quicktime pro 7 about an hour ago, and I put in my key and my name EXACTLY as it came in the email, and it accepted it (it didn't say it was invalid), but I still cant use any of the Pro features....it says Quicktime Key:Future Pro Player Edition...why won't it work!?

You've made two different post's on this
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1438646&tstart=15
Did you get the key from Apple, or did someone other than Apple email it to you?
The only time I've seen, Future Pro Player Edition, is when a crack was trying to be used. It should say, QuickTime 7 Pro, if the key came from Apple.

I've ordered adobe Acrobat 9 for $15 a month 30 days ago and still don't have a key code to unlock the product! Please help

    Hi mike7373,
I just checked your account; you have two subscriptions to Acrobat Pro (one purchased on October 1, and another purchased today). As no serial number is required to use your subscription, you should be able to download and install Acrobat, and then sign in and use it. If you're getting a specific error when you try to install or sign in to Acrobat, please let us know, and we'll get it sorted out.
Ad for you having multiple subscriptions, I would suggest that you Contact Customer Care and ask that you have one canceled/refunded (unless, of course, you need both of them).
    Best,
    Sara

  • My AppStore won't let me upgrade or download apps. I already reset my phone in all the ways possible and it didn't fix the problem. Help

I tried resetting my phone and also deleted all the content but I still can't upgrade or install apps. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

Did you check in Settings>iTunes & App Store and log out of your Apple ID and then log back in again? If that does not help, and you say that you have deleted all content (which I'm not sure exactly what you mean there), then I suggest you contact iTunes support to see if there is a problem with your account. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

  • Why doesn't Quicktime 7 Pro show in my Applications Folder or in my Dock?

I installed QuickTime 7 Pro (Leopard) on my iMac and registered it. The program does not appear in my Applications Folder or in my Dock. How do I fix this?

QuickTime Pro is not a separate application, so you won't find it by searching your system. A Pro key just unlocks the extra features of QuickTime Player and the QuickTime browser plugin. If the Pro labels have gone from the menu items, then your key is correctly registered and you should be good to go.

  • QuickTime 7 Pro Key Does Not Work

Apple Store sent me a QT Pro "key" and link to on-line instructions. Nothing works. My System Preferences QuickTime dialog/panel does not have an OK button (or a Register button). It's a dead-end dialog. Email reply to my plea for help from Apple Support said I cannot use the QT 7 Pro key on a Mac with OS X 10.3.9 and QuickTime 7.0.3. Said to reinstall 7.0.1 (downgrading from 7.0.3), which I have done, to no avail. Next, I'm supposed to reinstall QuickTime 6.... MEANWHILE, on an Apple QuickTime Web page, it says that QuickTime 7 Pro REQUIRES QuickTime 7. The Apple Support email also suggested that I cannot use QT 7 Pro unless I have OS X Tiger. The email seems fat fetched, but the on-line info doesn't help either. What do I have to do to get QuickTime 7 Pro running? I've paid in full for the privilege. Thanks.

I appreciate your taking time to reply. Unfortunately, the circumstance you describe does not work on my system, and no one can tell me why or what to do to fix it. Before I went to the Apple online store to buy QuickTime Pro, I already had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac OS X, 10.3.9, system. I paid for QT 7 Pro and got the "key"/registration email from Apple. The email included a link to online installation instructions which do, in fact, tell me to click OK in the System Preferences QuickTime panel (though there is no OK button). I tried again, using your advice, and simply quit System Preferences. Still no QT Pro. When I do a find, Sherlock returns 71 items whose names contain "quicktime." Only one is an application, QuickTime Player v. 7.0.1, No QuickTime Pro. [FYI, though I had QT 7.0.3 on my Mac, the Apple support email told me to "reinstall" 7.0.1, which I did. They actually wanted me to reinstall/downgrade to QuickTime version 6, but I have not done that.] My reason for wanting QuickTime Pro to work is so I can convert AIFF audio files to MP3 audio files. QuickTime Player won't do it for me and told me to get Pro. Thanks, --CSZ

You would have to ask Apple to get a "real" answer. This is a peer-to-peer user foum and anything we say would be pure speculation.

This isn't related to your query, just a note to say that you've marked this topic as answered (at the time at which I'm making my reply). It might be best to mark it as "not answered" again, just in case folks pass over it assuming that it has been resolved.

I wanted to buy QuickTime 7 pro key code but I couldn't. I live in Iceland and it was not in a list of countries. How can I buy QuickTime 7 pro key code?

Thank you Gary Scotland but I have tried to buy it from the URL. But when I filled in my address and credit card number, filling my address was failed. My address is in ICELAND, not in the USA so it was not accepted. And before clicking "Buy now", I tried to choose a country but ICELAND was not in a list of countries so I couldn't change a country.
Have you tried to contact the Rekjavik Apple dealer or macland to see if they could help you?

  • Blocked out PRO KEYS even though Quicktime 7 PRO is installed on a Windows 7 PC...HELP

The PRO KEYS are still blacked out even though Quicktime 7 Pro is installed. I have uninstalled both iTUNES and  Quicktime but to no avail. I would not have dowloaded it if I knew it was going to be this much trouble....

I was able ot fix the issue.  On windows apparently Quicktime did not like the fact I had an extra drive named A:\ ... it refused to acknowledge the drive was there.  I renamed the drive to E:\ and quicktime was able to play the media.
Ahhh. Seen that at least once before. Best not to use the A:\ letter for drives on a Windows system. Historically that designated the boot floppy drive on a system. (That's why PCs with floppy drives used to designate the standard floppy drive the B:\, historically the second non-boot floppy drive on the system, in order to avoid issues with the special status of the A:\.) So there's ancient baggage associated with the A:\ designation that can confuse both the operating system and installed programs if it's used for other purposes.

  • Logic Studio comes with quicktime 7 Pro.   where is it?

as the box indicates in the "contents" section beside the requirements section in the top side of the box, it gives the list of all the softwares that come with logic studio (e.i. logic pro, soundtrack pro2, waveburner, compressor... blah blah blah all that... but it says close to the end: quicktime PRO 2, which i guess is a "better" version, or it has more features... i dont know. the thing is i dont quite see that i actually have it installed on my mac. when i open quicktime and check on the "about quicktime.." it says its only quicktime.. but doesnt say anything about being PRO 2. its also the 7.5.5 version...
Since i installed everything from logic studio.. and still cant seem to find a way to see that QT pro 2 has been installed on my mac, can anyone explain to me what could be happening?
    thanks.

This has had a lot of people confused. Logic doesn't actually come with any software for Quicktime Pro, because you already have it imbedded into the regular version of Quicktime. When you buy QTP, or buy something like Logic that includes it, it simply 'unlocks' your regular version of Quicktime, which allows you access to a bunch of features that regular Quicktime didn't have.
Open System Preferences->Quicktime, and it should say: 'Registered To: Apple Pro Apps User' and 'Registration Code: Automatic.' You'll also notice that the 'Q' graphic on that window has a little 'PRO' tag on it too.
If you were still running the regular Quicktime, when you went to the QT Player, and dropped down any of the menus from the menubar, most of the options would be grayed out and say 'Pro Only,' or something like that. Now all of the options in those menus will be available.
And yes, it should be version 7.5.5.

  • Registration Key didn't come

First off, I'm a bit irritated. I like Apple and all that stuff, but this is frustrating.
I recently bought a QT Pro key. Shortly thereafter I received a confirmation email stating:
+You will need to enter your registration code into the QuickTime Player application to unlock the Pro features.+
    +Product: QT 7 PRO MAC ACCESS KEY-INT+
    +Registered to: (My Name)+
    +Mac version:+
+To get started, enter your name and registration code exactly as they appear above into the Register pane of the QuickTime Preferences dialog box.+
The key doesn't show up in the email. (I'm using Mail.app in 10.5.2.) I viewed the raw source and the key doesn't show up in neither the plain text version nor the HTML version.
So I logged into my account online to see if it showed there. It doesn't.
Then I used the chat feature in the store to ask about it. I was told to call the Apple Store. Next I called and was told to log into my account online and it should be there, if not go to apple.com/support/quicktime and there would be instructions there. I tell him it doesn't show up on my account online so he says again to go to /support/quicktime. Well, the instructions there say to log into my account online and get the key from there. Not helpful as it's not there.
How do I get my QT Pro key?
    Thanks.

Per Knowledge Base Article http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58453 QuickTime Pro Key: Retrieving a lost key it states in part:
+"If you purchased a QuickTime Pro key after 13 April 2001, *contact the _customer service number_ of The Apple Store.* This number is available at the bottom of The Apple Store Web page for each region."+
    +"Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775, Mon-Fri 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., or Sat-Sun 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pacific time. Please have your Order Number available."+
Was that the number you called?
If all else fails, call Apple Customer Relations at 800-767-2775 and telling them exactly what you have said here.
    Good luck!
