My recent podcasts are showing on iTunes site but not in podcast app or iTunes
Hi,
I've never used this forum before, but am struggling to find out what is going wrong with my podcasts.
I have a podcast that has been running fine for some time, but now no longer updates in the podcast app, or in my podcast subscriptions in iTunes.

The last episode I can see in my iTunes podcast subscriptions and podcast app is episode 55, yet the most recent, episode 59, shows fine on the itunes website.
Is there a reason that I can listen to the most recent episode via the itunes site, but my subscriptions wont update?
It seems that the problem has been experienced by several people.
As far as I'm aware, I havent changed the way I do anything.
Any help would be appreciated.
The 'itunes:summary' tag for the episode of 19th January ends like this -
"This year, I will exercise more."...</itunes:summary>
As the '"' tag has been truncated you have an ampersand (indicating the start of a code sequence) but the code is never finished. This renders the rest of the feed unreadable, and as that includes the closing tags the entire feed is invalidated and iTunes cannot read it.
There's no reason to have all these '"' tags - just type " (iTunes won't render the code but will display it, which looks messy) - but in any case don't let a code be truncated like that or you will have this problem.
Incidentally it's better all round to start your own thread when you have a query, rather than tag on to an existing one which can cause confusion if a discussion is ongoing. You're also more likely to be noticed.

Mac OS applications cannot run on iOS (or vice versa). If there is an iOS version of the same app available, use it for your iDevices.

Podcasts are on iPhone and pc, but not in iTunes
I have a problem with podcasts which I don't think is already being discussed on here.
I have a whole load of podcasts which I have previously downloaded through iTunes. The podcasts are on my iPhone and are stored in my PC in the appropriate folder, but when I look at them in iTunes they all have the icon telling me I can download them but they cannot be played from iTunes. It's as if they want to be downloaded again, but I have spent hours downloading them all the first time and can't afford the time or the money to do so again. Since the files are on my PC and my phone, how can I convince iTunes that I have them?Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have listened to podcasts from iTunes many times before and there are still a few podcasts in my iTunes and I can play those as I always have. It's just the ones from one particular folder that I can't play in iTunes.

Photo shows up on site, but not in iWeb
I have a little issue! I've created this site :

But at the bottom of each page is a photo of trees that shouldn't be there. When I try to find this mysterious photo in iWeb- it isn't there.
I've emptied the cache and republished the site, but I'm still plagued by this image.
Does anyone know how I could get this photo to show up, or where it's coming from?Its named backgroundimage_2.jpg. The URL to the one on the Links page, for example, is....

Try dragging a text box down the page to see if you can see it.
It may be in the footer area so, do a Shift-Command-L to show the layout, command drag a text box into the footer and drag it down. -
Podcast Image Shows Up In Feed But Not In Store
I just got my Podcast approved this morning. All excited, I checked it in the Itunes Store and the artowrk is not there.
For some reason, when you subscribe, the image does shows up. So the feed has the image, just the Itunes store does not.

Thoughts?The image is correctly referenced in your feed. It's quite normal for the image to take some days to show up in the Store after a new podcast as first appeared.

Video podcast is showing in the store but not downloading or streaming
I've been able to upload the video podcast (~345MB, 50 minutes, 480x272, .m4v) and it will appear in iTunes, but when clicked to download there is no file downloading. It says the length is 0:00.
We've tried everything to get this to work and it seems like there are no answers on the net.
Any ideas as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!All the episodes which appear in the Store and when subscribing appear to be OK. The feed contains a 17th episode which you have commented out and thus does not appear in iTunes.

I cannot figure out why my templates do not show up in Outlook, when I manually update the AD RMS task scheduler to run the templates get pulled and placed into the C:\Users\%%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM\Templates
but when I launch outlook they are not displayed.

Generally, the default Outlook Templates (.oft) is located in drive:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates.
Firstly, please make sure the Templates have been located in the C:\Users\%%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\DRM\Templates path of your local machine. If it is there, please copy and paste the new Templates to the default Outlook Templates location.
Then we can right-click the Folder to select Properties in Outlook, and click dropdown next to "When posting to this folder, use:" and select the custom template form in the list. For more information about Outlook Templates, please refer to:

Fonts showing up in TextEdit but not in Apple apps
Hi all
I have a version of the fonts issue that seems well discussed on these and other pages, which is this:
I have installed a couple of fonts. They show up in Font Book. They also show up in TextEdit. But they don't show up in Pages, Keynote etc.
Any help gratefully received!I don't have access to a 6.0 system at the minute, but I'm pretty sure order isn't a standard field in KSB1. It would be in KOB1, of course, but the K*B1 transactions are for displaying actual line items recorded on various kinds of cost objects.
In the reporting scenario, how's the order factor in? Did it receive statistical postings, or something? -
IMAP question - message showing up in iOS but not in Mail.app - why?
I set up an account in Mail.app Version 5.2 (1257). It's an IMAP account linked to a Gmail account.
Just now I saw a (1) indicator that a new mail had arrived. But when I clicked on the account's Inbox there were no messages there.
I also checked on my iPhone, which also uses IMAP for the same Gmail account, and I can see the message and read it.
I went back to Mail.app but it's still not there. So I manually selected Mailbox > Get New Mail > account name. After doing this the (1) indicator went away and there is still no mail in the Inbox.
But the message is still there when looking via both my iPhone and iPad.
I also tried closing and opening a new View Window, but it didn't help.
Finally I quit Mail and restarted it and could see the message.
But what gives? Why couldn't I see the message in Mail.app on my iMac without restarting Mail?

dougI'm not sure there is a setting for that. I don't see one anywhere.
But remember - the reason I knew there was a waiting message to begin with was because the dock indicator displayed a number and next to the account's Inbox was a (1) in parentheses. So it must have checked for mail. The message just wasn't there until I quit Mail and started again.
Anyway, thanks. I'll just see if this happens again. Maybe it was a one time rare bug.

my iPod nano g7 isn't showing up on iTunes although i plug it in. it shows on the computer but not on iTunes. also it won't sync , accept new songs and doesn't put on podcasts. it is new, i got it for christmas. PLEASE HELP

I have not seen this precise issue addressed anywhere. I don’t know if it’s an iTunes or an iPod problem:
- Some, but not all, podcasts existing on the iPod no longer appear in iTunes;
this, after normal behavior for more than a year since purchase of the iPod.
- Different podcasts have been affected at different times, after changes in the state of the iPod.
- Only podcasts are affected.
- This concerns an iPod nano 6th gen. and iTunes 11.0.2 (26) on System 10.6.8
- The only change to iTunes, the Mac, or the iPod is that just before this condition began
I’d begun syncing an iPhone via iTunes.
I sync manually (“manually manage music and videos”). The first time this happened, I wanted to delete seventeen podcast episodes (all belonging to one podcast) existing on the iPod — but they didn’t show up in iTunes. I tried re-downloading them and re-syncing, to see if the new versions would somehow “re-link” to iTunes. They didn’t. Only one — new — episode appeared in iTunes.
I ultimately reset the iPod and manually resynced all the podcasts I currently had on iTunes. That worked, though I had to painstakingly add in all the other content deleted by the reset.
So: after that reset and manual sync, all podcasts and episodes on the iPod were visible to iTunes and I was able to delete the podcast and its — now 18 — episodes I’d wanted to get rid of to begin with. But the next time I connected the iPod, only 8 podcast episodes out of 21 episodes total existing on the iPod were visible to iTunes. These are different podcasts; I’d deleted the original “invisible” ones.
By “visible,” I mean in the “Podcasts” list view under “[name]’s iPod” in the iTunes sidebar. If I select “[name]’s” iPod in the iTunes sidebar and the “Podcasts” tab, all podcasts and episodes are visible, though greyed out because I’m set to sync manually. It’s unclear to me if these are the podcasts on the iPod or those currently in iTunes, as they are currently the same. If I switch to syncing automatically, all content on the iPod will be lost again, so I’m not up to trying it at the moment.
As I said, this involves only podcasts. All other content on the iPod does appear in iTunes.I have the same problem- i see my movies in the ipod section in itunes and they even show as mpeg4 in the 'kind' section but they dont have that small TV icon next to them. if i play these in itunes, they play fine- but try playing them on the ipod and all you hear is the sound and no picture. All videos that i manually transfer work fine in the beginning- its when i hook up the ipod to the comp again and start itunes- they start showing up without the 'tv' icon!! i have to again transfer them from the itunes library to activate them as videos.

How do I download previously purchased albums from iTunes when the album has either disappeared from my computer or the tunes are not playable? The albums show as purchased on the iTunes store, but not available to download to my authorized device. I also have albums that appear in my library, but are not able to be added to my iPod from my computer
When you download something from the iCloud, it is a brand new licensed copy. Your iCloud account just contains a notation that you have this app. It isn't storing an actual copy of the app from your Mac.

Latest ep of my podcast doesn't show in iTunes store. Subscribers CAN download it. Podcast page shows 'Total: 3 items' but lists only items 2 and 3. RSS feed is validated and fine. How do I get iTunes to display it?
I've used Feedburner many times and never had such a problem. I am a bit confused, forgive me if I ask for questions already answerd. Have you tried updating the podcast in someone elses copy of iTunes? My guess is that the file is bad since it is working in other programs but not iTunes. I would try making a new .mp4 file and podcasting it and seeing if that works.

Library Issue: I just imported 2 CD's into ITunes. They show up in "Recently Added" and on my other devices via ITunes Match, but NOT in the ITunes software on the computer where I added them. They show up in the search box, but when I click on the results it just kicks me to ALL my music. I have imported thousands of songs/CD's before and this is a new one.
Something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Making another change to the library such as downloading the current iTunes Free Single of the Week, or deleting one track from your library and reimporting it, should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up which ought to correct things.
