My recorded footage without sound will not play, but will when recorded with sound, any ideas?

I have recorded alot of footage on a digital Harinezumi 3 camera and have run into a problem in post production.
Some of the footage is recorded with sound, and plays fine. However, with most of the footage, i chose to turn the recording of sound off. These files without sound will not play in any player, even when Perian is installed.
These are the specs of the video I have been able to find out.
File type: .AVI
Video Stream: JPEG
This is all I can find out, so I am thinking it is an M-JPEG file rendered as an AVI file. VLC player says it can not play the video or audio format 'undf', whatever that means. Another player says it needs a .moov encoder, but I do not see how this is possible. I have also tried attaching audio to it via Logic 9 with no success.
I am at a loss, and I really need this footage for a project. Any ideas?

Accessed the file at dropbox. Played the DropBox "display" file in scripted player, played the same resource file using the Safari plug-in, and then downloaded the resource file using the QT 7 Pro "Open URL" option only to learn that this file was an H.264 transcode and not your original file. Used the DropBox download option to download the original Motion JPEG file in AVI file container. File plays as is in both QT X v10.2 and QT 7 v7.6.6 players under Mountain Lion v10.8.4 on my system.
Motion JPEG is one of the "lagacy" codec components turned off under Lion and which remains turned off under Mountain Lion. However, as I understand it, Motion JPEG files are supposed to be passively supported (playback supported) under these systems but requires the codec to be turned back on if you wish to export files using this codec. I turned both Motion JPEG and Motion PNG codecs back on quite a while back and have Perian installed which, as you can see, supplied the OpenDML version of the Motion JPEG codec component to actually play your file on my system. Unfortunately, since QT uses a LIFO codec component list generation strategy, I would have to remove Perian to test whether or not the system configured Motion JPEG component would then become the active decoder. (Did this a year or two ago but not willing to do so again at this time.)
Suffice it to say, the file should play in QT on your Mountain Lion system assuming the correct version of Perian is installed, it is actually active, and you have no conflicting software or hardware installed on your system. Have posted an MOV file containing your Motion JPEG video data in case you want to see if it will play correctly on your system.

and thats the main difference. Those tools are reading the saved Data in the backup
but itunes attempts to restore the data from the backup on your iphone. if there are any corrupted data in the backup - the backup restore goes wrong. this can happen during security software or wrong corrupt data already stored on the iphone.
if itunes messed up to restore from backup try this one :
- restore your iphone to factory settings using HT1808 or reset all settings and content direct from iphone
- rename your iPhone (e.g. iPhone Test)
- setup your iPhone as new device -> attempt to make a new backup - if successful -
- click in itunes on restore from backup... and choose your desired backup

Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(Username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Pull your complete BackupFolder and try a different PC - copy the BackupFolder on this different PC in the same Path above - start iTunes and see if your Backup is there - attempt to restore from Backup again -
Had to have my hard drive rebuilt in my PC (not a Mac). When I reinstalled my music library from itunes, some of the songs did not properly download. They appear in light colored ink, but will not play and will not synch with my iPod. How can I get all of my songs back?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

I recently downloaded 2 movies in iTunes on my windows PC and movies will not play, they will open up to the main menu, mouse overs work as well as extra features. However the main movies will not let you play. On mouse over in itunes the 'play' buttion is not enabled, yet is however enabled on previously downloaded movies.
For me I have follow several of the help articles. When I play the movie in iTunes the screen is black with no audio, the timer status says it is playing (although it does not work all the time). I am able to play and have audio on the extras. I tried to use just QuickTime to play the movie and that as well does not work. I have started iTunes in safe mode and when the movie would begin to play, iTunes crashes and I have to restart. I have tried fresh clean installs of iTunes as well as QuickTime with no luck.
It looks to be a QuickTime problem however I cant verify that. Any help would be great. -

Sighhhh, wasted so much time yesterday and today going around Sony centre and then carphone warehouse. They told me to come back after Easter.
I came home, banged the phone against the wall and it worked.
Turned out that mic was working on loud speaker and when using headphones so I thought that the secondary mic is working and the main one (placed with the speakers) isn't. So I banged that part against the wall slightly (in plastic case to prevent scratches) then put the phone underwater, waited for it to dry and now it's working. Idk how well and if it's of perfect quality again but people can hear me well. -

hello Singyt, the bug report associated to this kind of crash indicates that it might be a malware related issue.
your crash report also shows a file named "urixalog.dll", which doesn't turn up any search hits on google, which is also slightly suspicious. could you search for that file on your pc and upload it to a site like virustotal.com in order to analyze it.
please do a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and/or a different tool like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes].

edit: the bug report also suggests that a monitoring program named spector pro/360/... which essentially acts like malware, might cause the issue. in case you have that installed please remove it. otherwise [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Firefox%20crashes%20when%20you%20open%20it#w_backdoor-ulrbot-c here] would be a removal guide for urixalog.dll -
Newstand will not let me make in-app purchases. Any ideas ? Already deleted and reinstalled magazine app . (Maxim) new issues will not download, already checked settings .

Is it possible that in app purchases have been restricted? Also is it possible that there could be restrictions in place regarding content? Could ratings be in place for the magazines? -
My IPad has disconnected from my home WiFi and will not accept my password. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

1. turn off the router for 30sec and connect it to see if it fix it
2. restart the ipad by holding down the on and home button and use the slider
3. update the firmware of the router -

Mac suggestes downloads to open AVI files on HDVR. Telestream finds the plugged in HDVR file but will not play...blank black screen which has no sound or picture. DivX will not download, report sent to Aplle. Any ideas how to play the files?

When I click to pay my songs in the library they will not play and it shows a circle with an exclamation point within it. What does that mean, how do I fix it, and how will it play my songs again? They used to play before on my Iphone4 with no problem, but since I upgraded to the Iphone4s there is an issue.
I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

Certain flash movies will not play - including Adobe TV movies with Dreamweaver tutorials
For months, certain .swf movies will not play. No error, won't even load the player. I thought it was because of IE8 which I installed several months ago. Now I loaded Firefox and Opera and the movies still do not play in those browsers either. At least I get an error message "TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference".

I downloaded an album but one song will not play. The message says not authorized. I put in authorization info and it says this computer is authorized.

I am having a very similar problem. Until 12 hours ago, I was using my recently replaced 4s (with iOS7) flawlessly, receiving emails and calendar info from Exchange (Outlook 2010). But starting last night, it all stopped. I have deleted and added the account several times, tried making simple changes (considering whether the username is case sensitive, or not, etc.) and cannot fix it. I have iOS 7.04. Interestingly, the first time I changed the case to lower case, it seemed to respond immediately, and downloaded many emails with no sender, no content, and with a 12/31/69 date. Yes, 1969. And then nothing happened. Help please!

I have updated my Iphone 4 software to OS5, and since then the names of the people who call me stopped to appear and only their number is showing. after checking, i found out that the contatcs whom local phone number is saved in an international format are affected by this problem. if i save them without the country code, then their names appear.
Also, some non local numbers that are saved in the format of 00966--------- instead of +966 ------- are also not showing the name of my contact when they call me.
any idea about this knowing that the older OS version didn't have an issue with this?
