  • HELP! Need a copy/pic of the regional calling map for FL

    I signed up for the Regional Essentials Package so i can take advantage of Fios internet. I cannot find anywhere on line that shows the regional calling map for Florida (or any other area for that matter). Does the regional calling coverage cover the entire state, a portion of the state or what?
    I keep ebing directed to the consumer guide in my phone book, that issue is two fold-who has a phone book any more?! And...we have one at work and there isn't a map to be found.
    Thank you!

    Your talking to peers.  Note I can't even locate your plan.  The essential plans i do find are apparently not your as they include unlimited nationwide phone service.
    Try looking under your "my verizon" to see if you can give you details.

  • Set multiple Region Keys to one Region within Map component?

    Does anyone know if multiple region keys can be tied to one specific region within a Map component?
    Example -
    My data contains the following values that i'd use as Region Keys (these are codes in my table that stand for cities within Taiwan):
         1) TW/FJN
         2) TW/KSH
         3) TW/TWN
    On the China Map Component I can set a Region Key for Taiwan.  But is there a way to be able to set all 3 of the above listed values for a Taiwan Region key?  Or am I only allowed to enter 1 value?
    Here is a photo to help show what i'm talking about:

  • Highlighted regions of map in book pages

    Is it me, or is iPhoto a bit idiosyncratic the way it highlights map regions? For example, I put Barcelona on my map, and it highlights (makes green) most of Spain, but not the Balearic Islands, which, politically at least, are certainly part of Spain.
    Add Milan and you'll get Italy but not Sicily and not Sardinia.
    Add New York City, and you get all of New York State highlighted, but not Long Island. If you just choose East Hampton, NY (which is on Long Island), it'll highlight just the tip of Long Island, but not the rest of the state.
    Does anybody know the rationale behind highlighting?
    thanks,
    Liz

    There are apparently two potential problems. One with iphoto and one with the photo printing. In iphoto, depending on how many map entries, if you basically have a world map, centered on NorthAmerica, then Australia will be present, absent or duplicated depending on scale. Fixing it requires adding places and then deleting them.
    Upon submission, the pdf is fine (and a pdf made afterwards is fine) but the pdf at the printing house is missing Australia. Their engineers think it is a memory issue or too many windows open upon submission. However, I have 4 GB ram and there were no additional windows open. Something is happening in the rendering stage (when all pages are downscaled (300 dpi)).
    Given the amount of time iphoto sits on rendering a map I have to wonder if it might not be better to generate a map outside of iPhoto and put it in as a photo for now. I have no doubt that simple maps work ok, but as they get more complex that take longer and longer to render.

  • Re: A region with dynamic page def mapping

    Dear Friends,
    We are using Jdeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0.
    Our requirement is there will be one region(.jsff) , it have a af:table and some input text component, based on some condition it has to be binded withViewObjetct1 or ViewObject2
    (both the ViewObject will have the same column name).
    Is it possible can we use a region(.jff) with different page definition file.Based on some condition region is mapped with Pagedef1(having corresponding Viewobject1 iterator and tree binding)
    and in another condition it's mapped with Pagedef2(having corresponding Viewobject2 iterator and tree binding).
    Please suggest a way to implement this scenario.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Vijay

    Found some helpful blog for this scenario.
    http://andrejusb.blogspot.in/2012/03/proxy-viewobject-and-dynamic-editable.html.
    But i don't think it will work for us, because we may add few columns in ViewObject2 and no dynamic components.
    Please give us your valuable opinion.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • Why is India by Region Map not a component?

    I am working with a client who needs worldwide global sales based on region. India is one of the prominent regions whose map component I am unable to find in Xcelsius 2008.
    I have installed SP3 and still can't find India Map.
    How can I find this component?

    Hi,
    first you will need the anymap add-on from the BO marketplace:
    [https://information.ondemand.com/istore/#shopby=Marketplace/Xcelsius%20Add-Ons%20(All)|https://information.ondemand.com/istore/#shopby=Marketplace/Xcelsius%20Add-Ons%20(All)]
    Then you can download from reportex the map file for india:

  • Value Mapping in Import Manager

    Hi All,
    I have Probelm while loading data to MAIN TABLE through Import manager,I am getting XML file from Legacy System in which legacy sends State Code like NM (for New Mexico) .In my region table I made Name and Code as display field .Created my Import map ,when ever new value comes for region value mapping is not working ,I tried changing my region table with code only display field it works ,but I want Name also display field .
    Note : all my lookup table Remote key mapping Enabled
    Is there any way we can acheive this or am I missing some thing here .
    Thanks,
    Madhu

    Hi Madhu,
    to achive this:
    1. First go to the table where you are maintaining the region codes.
    2. Enter the region code there and then go to the import manager by connecting to the source file.
    3. go the region field map by opening the map.
    4. go to value mapping pane and select unmap.
    5. then select Automap and check the that your region code added manually is mapped with the source file.
    6. You may see some unmapped source values, map it to Null values at destination.
    7. Save the map.
    8. This shoul enable the import for you.
    if you want to avoid the manual mapping everytime, you should be getting all the region codes once and import/update it in the data manager as a one time job.
    Then you avoid steps 1 to 3 everytime and carry out the remaining steps to import the records.
    Hope this helps resolve the issue.
    Thanks
    Rahul

  • Values not showing up for 3 digit zip code maps of states

    I've been tinkering with an app that displays the US, with a query that shows how many folks we have in each state. The link takes you to a page that displays the state/zip code style map. On the map of the US, I can see the label and the value from the query for all states. But in the state map, all that shows up are the labels. I have the map set to show values, but they won't display.
    I'm using APEX 4.0.1 in a 10.2.0.4 database running on Windows.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi mjblake,
    The Map Region columns (i.e. REGION_NAME, REGION_ID, etc) can vary for each Map source .amap file. So it's definitely worth referencing the AnyChart Map Reference Information when you're adding your map series query, to ensure that your query is referencing data that's actually contained in your chosen .amap file.
    By default, the wizard will set the "Map Region Column" to REGION_NAME, as this the default AnyChart column. However, some maps, like the US State Zipcode maps, don't actually have a REGION_NAME column in their data, which is why you would need to update the "Map Region Column" on the Map Attributes page to your chosen column e.g. REGION_ID. In the case of the US State Zipcode maps, the available columns are REGION_ID, CENTROID_X and CENTROID_Y, as shown in this example: http://anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/map_reference/United-States-of-America-3-digit-ZIP-Code-Maps-for-All-50-States-Alabama-Flash-Map.html?fromtree. You may not be aware of this, but when stepping through the Create Map wizard, on the 'Query' page, there's a Show/Hide region called "Map Region Information", which displays the AnyChart information associated with your selected map.

  • Dvt:map - Example of displaying line geometry ?

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know of an example that shows how to display themes that contain line geometry objects (e.g. delivery routes, bus routes etc.).
    All the examples I've found so far only show how to display points or polygons (areas).
    I tried to use a predefined theme but ran into another problem:
    Re: dvt:map - how to use a predefinedTheme with bind variables
    Regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
    Thanks for your immediate response.
    My requirement is some how different from yours. In our case, there are certain graphs generated using Map Builder tool & are avaiable through the Data Source.
    So, i need to integrate the base maps with UI. Im able to do that independently.
    Now, my requirement is to changing the map dynamically while doing zoom in. Lets say, i have 3 maps. which are Area level, Region Level & Building Blocks Levels.
    For each category i have a map. Initially, i need to display the Area level map...while doing the zoom in, depends upon the zoom in level i need to change the map dynamically to Region Level map. Similarly with Building block level.
    I tried to do this from the backing bean by getting the Map Component & by getting the zoom level changing the property value of the map to region level map.
    But the attribute "selectionListener" of <dvt:map component is not working for me. Hence got strucked here...Do you have any sugestions on this how easily we can do this.
    Help me in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Konjeti

  • Route 66 or Nokia Maps

    What would you suggest to invest in. Route 66 is a very good software, I am using the Eastern European Maps, excellent. However was wondering if it would be better from the onset to go in for Nokia Maps as their Map Navigation is going to go from strength to strength. What is your opinion ?

    It does not have to cost anything to download maps for Nokia Maps if you use the pc Map Loader. I have been using Nokia Maps for about 6 months and so far so good. I paid for 3 years sub which includes all map updates for the next 3 years for the whole of western Europe. Great Deal!.
    Since that I have been to Turkey, US and Canada. I have paid for maps for these countries at €8.99 for 30 days usage. Worked great except for Istanbul where the maps are a little out of date.
    The key is to download all the maps for a particular country or region using Map Loader before you go. This will avoid you paying data connection charges when you arrive.

  • Selecting the XML data from a drop-down menu or links

    Hi, I have this page:
    http://www.georgeglazer.com/prints/nathist/botanical/volckinv/volckinv.html
    There are prints of lemons/limes and prints of oranges. I
    want to have the visitor select which kind of fruit from either a
    drop-menu or from two links that look something like this:
    Lemons/Limes | Oranges. Looking at other help docs I found the
    region/state mapping demo at
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/StateMappingSample.html,
    and copied the code and tried to modify it. But I don't really
    understand the technical shorthand of the help docs (an ongoing
    problem I have with the Spry documentation) and I couldn't find the
    XML docs that the region/state mapping demos are based on so I
    couldn't see how they were set up.
    I got as far as this: nothing loads initially when you open
    the page (I'd like the lemons to load), but if you select Oranges
    from the drop-down menu you see the oranges, and THEN once you've
    done that, you can select Lemons/Limes in the drop-down menu and
    see those. I have three XML files I've been playing around with to
    get this to work: lemons.xml, oranges.xml and inventory.xml, which
    combines the two.
    I also suspect region/state mapping might not even be exactly
    what I'm trying to do here, but I can't figure out from the
    documentation exactly what this thing I'm trying to do is called. I
    know the photo album demo accomplishes something similar, and I
    could do that, but it seems way more complicated than what I need
    here (right?). Help will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Helen

    I made a different test using the file
    http://www.georgeglazer.com/prints/nathist/botanical/volckinv/inventory.xml
    and
    http://www.georgeglazer.com/prints/nathist/botanical/volckinv/volcktest.html
    where I sent up the inventory xml form like one I found in the
    Nested XML Data documentation where you have item ids and types, so
    all the oranges and lemons are in one XML document (which I'd
    prefer).
    Here's an abbreviated version of the inventory.xml:
    <inv_items>
    <inv_item id="1" type="lemon">
    <name>Lemons and Limes</name>
    <title>Cedro Ordinario</title>
    <plate>116a</plate>
    <fullimage>pl116a.jpg</fullimage>
    <tn>pl116a-2.jpg</tn>
    </inv_item>
    [and more lemons follow]
    <inv_item id="19" type="orange">
    <name>Oranges and Others</name>
    <title>La Zucchetta Imperiale</title>
    <plate>138a</plate>
    <fullimage>pl138a.jpg</fullimage>
    <tn>pl138a-2.jpg</tn>
    </inv_item>
    [and more oranges follow]
    </inv_items>
    What I'd like to do is display the names "Lemons and Limes"
    and "Oranges and Others" and when you click on "Lemons and Limes"
    you see only the thumbnails for lemons and limes, and when you
    click on "Oranges and Others" you see the thumbnails for only
    those. I'd like the Lemons and Limes to be selected when the page
    is opened.
    Help greatly appreciated!

    CONTEXT:
    This forum is intended for discussing the patterns from the Sun Java Center J2EE Pattern Catalog and other topics discussed in our book, Core J2EE Patterns.
    We, the authors of the book, welcome you to this forum.
    WHO WE ARE:
    We are Enterprise Java Architects from the Sun Java Center (SJC), which is the Java consulting organization of Sun Microsystems. We are a world-wide group of architects focusing on all consulting related to Java technologies.
    Visit our web-site for more information on SJC:

    BACKGROUND:
    Over the last few years, we at SJC have worked with our customers in architecting, designing, and implementing solutions on the J2EE platform. We have worked on documenting the J2EE patterns for over two years and released the patterns for public review in Beta form via the Java Developer Connection in May, 2001.
    The beta version of the patterns is available online as The Sun Java Center J2EE Pattern Catalog at:
    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2EE/patterns/
    Subsequent to the release, we received great feedback and comments from hundreds of reviewers. We then worked towards incorporating the feedback into the pattern documentation. One of the common comments was about the lack of code examples in the online documentation. The latest pattern documentation provides many code examples and incorporates all the feedback received so far.
    BOOK INFORMATION:
    Core J2EE Patterns, the book, was released at JavaOne 2001 during June 4-9, and will be available in stores around the end of June 2001.
    The book includes the complete updated Sun Java Center J2EE Pattern Catalog with 15 patterns covering these J2EE technologies: Java Server Pages (JSP), Servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), and Java Message Service (JMS). In addition to the J2EE Pattern Catalog, the book also provides other chapters that discuss design considerations,
    bad practices, and J2EE Refactorings. Example code is included for all patterns and strategies.

    Rajakannan,
    There are numerous ways to implement a templating mechanism in support of the composite view pattern, included in the catalog as a presentation-tier pattern.
    The goal is to avoid simply having monolithic views with all the formatting code embedded directly withing the view. If we have common subviews that are shared across several or more views then we end up with a copy-and-paste type of reuse...undesirable. So, modularity is one issue. Another major force when considering the Composite View pattern is that we may want to manage the layout of our pages and the content of our pages separately. We may have some logical regions defined, such as a search panel and main body, and a subview that plugs into those logical regions that map to a physical page (ie: x.jsp and y.jsp). We may then want to vary one independent of the other...ie: we may want to modify the layout of the page w/o changing the content and we may want to vary the content w/o touching the layout.
    There are a number of implementation strategies that can be used to implement the Composite View pattern, ranging from relatively simple to much more sophisticated. We describe each in our book and include source code examples.
    The example in the book that allows for supporting all the issues described above is implemented using the "Custom Tag View Management Strategy" and uses a tag library written by David Geary, that supports the Composite View pattern. The library is also included in David's new book, Adv. JavaServer Pages, Prentice Hall, 2001.
    Again, it's simply one implementation and, as you mention, there are many different ways to implement this strategy.

  • Updating KM Metadata properties using KM API

    Hi All,
    We are tring to update the custom Metadata properties using KM API from the Abstract Portal Component.
    We have written the below code for updating the metadata.
    We have checkbox called "Region" which has multiple option values like "Asia,America,Europe". I was able to update this property with single value. But when i try to update with multiple value it is not working. I tried with comma seperated but it didn't work.
    Can somebody through light on this. How to update multiple values?
    Code snippet
    IUserManagementService service=(IUserManagementService)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IUserManagementService.KEY);
              com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser user =null;
                   user= service.getDefaultFactory().getEP5User(request.getUser());
    IResourceContext context = new ResourceContext(user);
    RID path = RID.getRID("/documents/src/ex1.doc");
                        IResource res = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(path,context);

                        IProperty property = new Property(propName,"Asia");//How to pass multiple Values?
                        map.put(property);
                        res.setProperty(property);

    Hi Birla,
    try this:
    IResource res = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(path,context);
    IPropertyName propName = new PropertyName("http://ars.com/xmlns/cm","Region");
    java.util.List values = new List();
    values.add("Asia");
