My Reply emails don't send

This is a strange problem I've been having with my iPhone (original). I can receive and send emails mostly fine. However, if I send an email, someone replies, and I reply back to them, my reply never goes through. The "sending" bar fills up, and my phone makes the sent email noise, but the email is never received and the mail is nowhere to be found in my sent mail box.
This doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen with a high percentage of the people I email (over half), and the problem may or may not be restricted to just one of my email accounts.
This has occurred with 2.0 and 3.0 (and probably 1.0, too).

I have the same issue - when I hit reply, specifically when using my "Sympatico.ca" account, i receive the following "sender addess is invalid" however it is the same address I have in my phone.

I compose and email and press send and nothing happens. It doesn't send, doesn't even try sending. The email I composed just disappears with no indication anything happened.
Another issue - the ipad locks up with a black screen and the only way to use it again is to do a hard reset by pushing the power and home buttons simultaneously.

HT201363 The emails don't send, so I can't re-set my password

So Apple asks me to answer the security questions but tells me there wrong. So when I say forgotten send to email I never get it, I've tired about 8 times over a week and never once gotten one email from apple.

Missing Send Button on Reply eMail

This just began happening but when I read an email and then hit the reply button .. when the reply email opens the "send" button is missing ... I'm forced to save the reply email as a draft and then open the draft in a new window to get the "send" button function .... How do I correct this?

thank you for the info .... it wasn't exactly right for my problem but it sent me in the right direction and i finally figured it out .... i needed to have a 'reply' email open, then from the menu bar for the program, under 'view' i changed the action to 'show toolbar' ..... i don't know what happened to 'hide' the toolbar but somehow i apparently did that .... again, thanks for sending me in the correct direction!!!!

Cannot send/reply email on Mac and iPhone

SOMETIMES I cannot send or reply emails on my Mac, not all the time though. Went to Apple Store where a Genius helped me reset my mail app but turning it off and back on again, it worked there and then but when I got home, I'm still getting the below same message when I try to send or reply sometimes:
"Connections to the server "p08-smtp.mail.me.com" on the default ports times out.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Layer to leave the message in your Outbox until if can be sent."
This happens on my iPhone as well. Sometimes when I reply to someone's email it'd just sit in the Outbox for more then a day despite numerous attempts to resend. In the end I could only delete it from Outbox and send a new one again. I tried to find answers online without luck, can someone please help?
Note that if I send/reply on iCloud website, everything works perfectly!

TS3899 When I try to send an email on iPad, it goes to outbox and stays there? I get a message that I have exceeded my output limit. I don't think this is accurate because I don't send that many messages. Maybe 30 a day. Please advise. Thanks

Question? When I try to send out email on my ad address, it goes to the outbox and stays there. The message is something like, you have exceeded your limit on messages so your message will be stored in the outbox. I don't send more than 30 emails a day, and i use two other email addresses. What can I do?

Change the password on that e-mail account. It's possible that your account has been hacked/spoofed and spammers have used it to blast out junk, leaving you to 'pay the price'. If it's one where you can contact the company, contact them and ask them what's going on. (if this is g-mail, yahoo, hotmail, don't bother, there's no way to contact any sort of support)

How to fix
If this is an AOL issue, try these: go Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select your AOL.com account > SMTP from the Account Info Page > SMTP from the SMPT Page > make sure that the Server is ON, make sure that the Host Name is smtp.aol.com. Further make sure your username and password are correct and added in the Outgoing Mail server; make sure that Authentication is set to Password and make sure that Server Port is 587
If this is not an AOL email: go Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts >Account Info > SMPT> turn off primary server, turn on other (e.g. AT&T) SMTP server.
Go into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Your Account > Outgoing mail Server SMTP > Primary Server then turn Server ON and fill in both User Name and Password under Outgoing Mail Server.

Automatically cc myself is not checked. I did find out that if you have multiple email address that all of them need to be associated with "My Contact" tab. Thanks

LMS 3.2 don't send emails notifications

I have installed LMS 3.2 and DFM don't send email notifications. Here is the NOS.log file.

1. Ping your smtp server if its reachable from LMS.
2. Telnet to the SMTP server and see if it responds.

I have been trying this for a long time, there is no way I can retrive my password and a lot of my apps are linked with this id and because of this issue, I'm not able to update them.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
