my requirement is to change the standard obj PRODHS.
thru access key I entered into data element,here I need to replace the std domain with custom one .the problem nere I am facing is that ,when I am entering in change mode,it is opening in display ,I cann ot able to shift to change mode,please help me

I am changing the structure of PRODHS,initially it has 3 levels with sizes 5,5,8.Now I need to change to 5 levels of sizes 4,4,4,4,2,sysytem had defined 9 data elements for this purpose,so now I am creating one custom domain of size 4 and trying to replace with std domain ,when I am opening the std data element in change mode for this it is opening in display mode not in change mode.
all this is related to product hierarchy level change(from 3 to 5)

it is a 18 character word with 5/5/8. Now I need to change to 3/3/3/4/5.

Error while changing the Resource Object Status

Hi,
I am trying to change the resource object status from Waiting to Provisioned for a self service task. Before approval I see the Resource Object Status as " Ticket Sent To REMEDY" on the administrator's web console and at the Requestor's web console I get the following error message-
???en_US.global.viewProfileForm.Lookup.Ticket-Sent-to-REMEDY???
But after approval, based on the completion the task, the process on both the consoles is set to provisioned. That is what I want to display but the problem comes when the requestors sees the error status message on its console before approval.
Can any body tell me the reason of the above error and how to resolve it?

do you have any custom written event handlers getting triggered off after request submission or during approval?
It might also be due to either a browser issue or you might have missed any entry in the xladmin properties file for a custom label/error message etc.

Do you know how to change the Text Object for Billing Document?

Hi,
If you execute Transaction VOTX or VOTXn it will take you to Text Determination. The Billing Doc & Sales Document both has the VBBK as Text Object for me and is it like that for all.
I need to change the Text Object to VBRK for Billing Doc, which is the ideal because I am using the Function Module READ_TEXT to retrieve text. This work perfectly for Sales Document which has VBBK as Text Object, but does not work for Billing Doc where it through as error message saying Text 0020000021 ID 0002 language EN not found.

Hi kishan,
For updating these text you can use FM 'SAVE_TEXT'.
As for your problem, to get the parameter you need, go to the billing document, go to the text, and display it in plain page mode.
Then you do 'GO TO' -> 'HEADER', and a pop-up window open with the parameters you need Obect type, ID, Name, ...

I change the output mode to "Collect IDocs" method, if I use SAP standard function POIM (RCCLMDAT), it will depend on change pointer to generate IDoc, and it includes function: RSEOUT00 ( and MASS_RSEOUT00 ) to collect and send IDoc.
The collect table is BDCP.

Generally speaking, you can access the particular field object using the corresponding class and modify it's left/right/top/etc properties to change placement. For example, if you want to modify properties for a text object on a report, use the TextObject class and the members exposed by that class.Depending on what properties you want to modify, you'll need to look at other classes such as the FieldFormat class or ObjectFormat class to access other properties. I think this question is about the OLE interface, not plug-ins? If so, you cannot. It's a very old interface.
Maybe it can be done with JavaScript, I don't know the API well enough. But note that the great majority of annotation types do not accept a font; you need to understand exactly what kind of annotation you need (probably with reference to the PDF specification).
Sounds like a job for a plug-in, but working with custom fonts and annotations even there could turn out to be pretty challenging.

Does access scope change the way Object oriented code compiles or executes

I have started using Acess Scope (Private/Public/Protected/Friend) in my code and I am wondering if ti changes the way the software is compiled and executed.
I am suffering a 6 minute pre-load startup time and am scrambling to find aything that helps.

I don’t think that the Access Scope is the cause of this long pre-load time. However, you can try to set to public in order to see if that makes any change.
I think this long pre-load time could be related to how many files (VIs and dependencies) are included in your project. Also, if you move the Project folder to a different location (or computer) the next time that you try to open the project it will take a little while to open.

you can change the standard SAP iViews and Pages using the Portal Content Translation feature of the Portal ( go to Content Administration->Portal Content Translation. Follow the instructions at

all ESS iviews and pages have their content "ready for translation" and you can use the instructions above to translate that content.

Error - To Change the Std Domain size

Dear friends
I go change the character size 25 to 50 for Domain name TEXT25. But it will through the some kind of error's
please tell me how to solve the errors.
TABL T506T is inconsistent in active version
Enhancement category for table missing
Enhancement category for include or subtype missing
Length or number of decimal places of field ATEXT has changed.
Structure change at field level ( convert table T506T )
check on table T506T resulted in errors.
But i go to check the table in se11. The size has been changed but table partly active. Please tell me how to solve the problem.

Go to SE11--> In the table click on Extras --> click on Enhancement categeroy
--> Select the Can be Enhanced (Deep ) and click on OK and check if it resolves your enhancement issue.

How can I change the color around the artboard in CS4?

In CS4 its creamy/dirty white. I always work around the artboard and I want the area to be plain white as in CS3. Does anyone know how to change this?

I noticed this as well and it's driving me nuts. What I found bizarre is that I was able to work with the standard white artboard in CS4 - common to legacy versions of the program - for the first few days until just this morning. Evidently, this must be some sort of prefernce that may have changed unexpectedly. Most posts relate to changing the transparency grid or turning off the artboard. Not the solution I'm looking for -
I'm still at a loss for what to do, but am considering discarding my preferences file to see if that does the trick.

Solaris 10 won't boot after changing the CPU

Hi. I was running Solaris on my Intel-based desktop machine. It was running fine. One day I upgraded my CPU and since then Solaris won't start. Immediately after it tries to load itself, it displays something on the screen really fast ( something with "dumping" in it) and then reboots.
I runned Solaris in fail safe but I cannot run reboot -r for example. It says that reboot has wrong parameter or something. And I don't know what else to do.
Please help.

P.S. I'm not 100% sure that the problem is related to changing the CPU. Maybe I configured something wrong when working in Solaris prior to the hardware change. But I think that's unlikely because I'm usually pay attention when changing settings in Solaris and don't dive in dark waters.

Right after I wrote my previous post I looked again at the web page Darren recommended and I figured out what it was all about. I had troubles understanding the procedure in the first place because I wasn't familiar with mounting partitions and I didn't know what /a refers to. On another site I found out about the command that saved me: mount /dev/dsk/c0d0s0 /a A bit later I found out that when starting Solaris in single user mode (failsafe for example) the partition is mounted automatically to /a when you choose to update the boot archives.
(As a tip for beginners like me, once in single user mode use the Delete key instead of Backspace :P ).
So, the procedure explained on that site is:
In case of a hardware mismatch, use one of the two methods that follow:
Method 1 (Recommended)
1.Move path_to_inst ex: # mv /a/etc/path_to_inst /a/etc/ORIGINAL_PATH_TO_INST 2.Remove all old device links ex: # rm /a/dev/rdsk/c* ; rm /a/dev/dsk/c* ; rm /a/dev/rmt/* 3. From the OK> prompt, do a 'boot -ar'.
Accept the default for all questions except the path_to_inst file.
When you get to that one, specify /dev/null.
It should then prompt you if you want to create a new /etc/path_to_inst file from scratch. Say yes.
So I tried method 1, but no success. First of all I noticed that the devfsadm command didn't create the /a/etc/path_to_inst file. As many times I have tried it (even after I read a lot more on the Internet regarding these commands) I never made it to work. Somewhere on the net somebody asked about the "-p" argument that is not explained in the man pages of the command and the answer was that it specifies the path to the path_to_inst file wich makes sense but doesn't work. Somewhere else it was suggested that the "-p" argument to be ignored and the new path_to_inst file to be looked under /etc ; this was not the case for me.
I tried method 1 many times with small variations, within the virtual or the real machine, but it never worked.
So I tried method 2 as well, but no luck either. First of all, for all other beginners facing this kind of problem, on a x86 machine there is no OK> prompt; it's a SPARC "feature". But "boot -r" commands or alike can be issued using "reboot -- -r".
So I have tried all the variations I could find on the internet -r,-a,-ra,-rav, but this command didn't work either. I always got the message
bootadm: Cannot update menu. Cannot reboot with requested arguments.I never quite figured what "menu" is all about. My guess was that it refered to the grub menu/commands for booting and that it couldn't change those. So I
read on the net a few things about the booting commands in GRUB bootloader and I tried a few variation but they never worked. Indeed the changes I did to the commands were not saved, as the bootadm erros would indicate. Am I wrong?
After reading about the GRUB commands I got a little bit more familiar to what goes on at booting time and later I found an article in the Sun Documentation called x86: How to Boot the Failsafe Archive to Forcibly Update a Corrupt Boot Archive ( http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2379/6n4m1vlfi?a=view ). There I so this command
To forcibly update the corrupt boot archive, type:
 # bootadm update-archive -f -R /a
Unmount the device.
 # umount /a
Reboot the system.
 # init 6I have tried it, looked like it is searching through the hard-disk, after a while finished and I rebooted but with no effect.
This is where I am now.
Any idea of why devfsadm would not create the path_to_inst file?
Any ideas of what to do else or where I could have got it wrong?
