There are many people who understand only the English language and therefore the English language is a standard here in the forum.

iTunes Match does not have the ability to remove local files.
The service operates by comparing the selected iTunes Library with the iTunes Store content and 'matching' or 'uploading' - it is very straightforward a 'match' provides equivalent access to iTunes Store content as a recognised 'purchase'; upload simply copies a 256k AAC variant into the cloud. There are no elements of this activity that can erase the local library content.
Would suggest you explore possible alternative causes of file loss. Given the pattern described of selective deletion, leaving many Songs intact - would suggest making at least 2 secure offline Song file backups and starting the library again from a fresh install of iTunes once a thorough sweep of the system has been completed for virus. It is also worth assessing the physical security of the system - who has access & with what privileges.
To access Songs from the cloud, you would have to manually delete the Song from the library or open an empty library - so even when accessing content, iTunes Match provides no local deletion capability.

I realy frustrated right now, why the heck did they remove this nice feature?
And this new energy slider is just trash. If i change back to advanced mode, i cant see my current power consumption. Nor in the main battery tab. The field "Current Power" is just blank. And the option in the tray vanished.
What the **bleep** are these guys doing. There was a time i fought this powermanger is the best software ibm/lenovo ever produced, but since the change of the ui, and removing important features. Its unbeliveable.
Especialy if you are on windows xp, this looks like **bleep**, and this "new" gauge desgin, flickers and stops my mouse on hower over the new "Design".

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

other users also had problems with yahoo mail when they were using the ghostery addon - do you have it installed too by any chance? if so, add an exception for yahoo mail: click on the ghostery icon while you're in yahoo's webmail, choose "edit blocking options" & then don't block on this domain...

Steps to be done to remove the device from the previous owner's iCloud Account, if you have already done this things then there might be something that you might have missed due to which the iPhone is still showing the Find My iPhone Activation Lock screen.

If the previous owner is with you and can access the device
Ask them to enter their Apple ID and password on the Activate iPhone screen (shown above) to remove the device from their account. You can then proceed through the rest of the device setup process.
If the previous owner is not present
Contact them and ask them to follow these steps to remove the device from their account:
Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Choose the device from their Find My iPhone device list by clicking All Devices and selecting the correct device.
Click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device has been removed from the previous owner’s account, turn it off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button located on the top right side of the device. Then restart your device and proceed with device setup as you would normally.

ATV cannot play movies from the TC, even if it is on your home network.. ATV is a streamer.. it is not a media player.. and the TC is a dumb as a board hard disk in a router.. so it has nothing in it either.
You cannot play movies from ATV without itunes, which streams to the ATV.
If the iMac is running 24/7 then you should be able to connect to the iMac remotely and run from iTunes on that, which could then play movies stored on the TC.. with the following issues.. if you use wireless on the iMac forget it. The iMac has to be ethernet connected as it has to pick up the movie on the library and play it back to the TC to network to your home.
The next issues is speed of slowest connection.
Your download to your home maybe great.. what is the upload speed from your office like??
If you pay for uploads and downloads you will pay for the movie 3x.. first to download it.. second to upload it.. office to net.. and third to download it again.. net to home.. Sorry but it is better to play the movie directly from online itunes store.
If you plan to try and play non-itunes movies over the connection, it won't work.. ATV as stated is linked to itunes and cannot play movie files.
Overall this sounds like you need to think it out a bit more.

If the movies were rentals then no.
If the movies are purchases and you have the iTunes 10.4 then you should be able to access the 'cloud' option from in the main iTunes page - purchases - (upper right corner) and go from there.
You should also have the option to transfer purchases from the iPad back into iTunes. I don't have an iPad but you can transfer purchases from the iPod/iPhone back to iTunes.

As shown in "http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252" ( and as used in my old iPhones running 3.x.x ) under "Settings=>Mail,Contacts,Calendars=>Gmail" you could select to sync "Mail, Contacts, Calendars". I have used this feature for the past year or so and it's been great.
Now, under iOS 4.0.x you can only choose to sync Mail, Calendars, Notes. The choice to sync "Contacts" has been removed by Apple.
Here is where it gets interesting: My wife ran a backup and restore to move from her iPhone3GS to iPhone4. Whereas I did a complete fresh install.
Her phone continues to sync contacts, mine does not.
When I drill into "Settings=>Mail,Contacts,Calendars=>Gmail" on her iPhone4 there are two now two accounts with identical names and all other details the same. One which syncs Mail and Notes
The second syncs Contacts and Calendars
For some reason they can exist concurrently. This is not the case on my iPhone4 ( fresh install ) which only allows one account and will not give the option of push syncing contacts
To be honest I've found it incredibly irritating that this feature has been removed in 4.0.x ! Syncing google contacts instantly, transparently and automatically over WiFi/3G has been incredibly useful and I'm pretty gutted that it has suddenly just been taken away !

Is this when creating and accessing the account as an Exchange account, or when creating the account using the Gmail account preset which creates the account as an IMAP account?
