My restore previous session button is gone from the home page. How do i get it back?

Today when i started Firefox it no longer had the restore previous session button. I have not changed anything since last time i browsed and the button do not appear even if i close down Firefox with tabs/windows open. Please help

Are you keeping the history?
*Do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the "Browsing History".

Don't recall the exact wording. But it is the same in appearance as others. Anyway, problem solved using RogerWilmut1 reply to someone else. I opened Applications and got the icon back. Thanks for responding.

Your basic panel must have been accidentally deselected.
Simply right-click on one of the other panels e.g. Tone Curve and choose basic again - see image below.
You can also select solo mode, if you prefer to work in one panel at a time with the others collapsing automatically when you click on another tab.

It is possible that you opened the right-click context menu and clicked the "Remove from Toolbar" item or the "Move to Menu" item.
The former moves the toolbar button to the Customize palette and the latter moves the toolbar button to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
You can restore the Home button to the Navigation Toolbar via the Customize mode.
If you can't find this button then click Restore Defaults at the bottom of the Customize palette window.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPhone has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

My "x" button has disappeared from my tabs. How do I get it back?

Until recently, when using multiple tabs, I would have a close button or "x" in every tab. I did not make any changes to settings, but now, my close tab button is gone or at least not visible.
Currently, the only way I can close individual tabs it by right clicking on the tab and selecting "close tab". It would be much easier if my button was back and functioning.

I am using an external drive for a time machine backup. It has disappeared from the desktop. How do I get it back again?

My time machine backup disc, which has been working ok for a couple of years has suddenly disappeared from the desktop. The time machine program tels me it is unavailable. I have checked that the drive is working by booting up in Windows. and Windows can see it and read it ok. What has gone wrong, and how can I fix it?
I have tried unplugging it and reconnecting, but it is still apparently not seen by the system.
I could use Windows to reformat it, and start again, but this would loose all my previous backups, and I've no guarantee that the system would notice it even then.
Has anyone any ideas?

I think it's formatted on FAT 32 system, but I'm not sure. It's been working for a couple of years so far without any problems, so I think it must be compatible with Mac. The problem is that all of a sudden, the Mac doesn't acknowledge that it is present.

You chose to set up your iphone from your daughters backup.
The iphone is designed to be synced with your computer regularly. You should have set up syncing from day one.

How can I get back deleted contacts from iCloud?

If both phones were syncing contacts with the same account, that's normal. iCloud syncs changes on one devices to all other devices sharing the account.
If you don't have another backup source for your contacts, you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.
