My ringer changes to vibrate when I put it in the holister

I have a Blackberry 8520 and my profile ringer changes to vibrate when I put in in the holister.....can anyone help me change it so it doesnt do that anymore?

I too have a BBCurve 8520 and I am also experiencing the same problem; it is driving me MAD! I have tried the given solutions provided in this string to no avail. It STILL changes profiles to vibrate on its own. HOWEVER (and do let me know if it's just me going insane...) I have noticed two things:
I put the face of the phone inward, so the battery cover is facing outside the holster; in this way:
1- SOMETIMES, if I put the bottom part of the phone (the where the keyboard is) in the holster FIRST, then the top part (where the screen is), the phone does go into vibrate mode. If I do it evently, it will not. Doesn't always work, though.
2- If I put the phone in QUICKLY, it will not go into vibrate mode. If I do it slowly, chances are, it will.
Maybe I'm already insane, but this situation is certainly driving me absolutely MAD!
I sure wish there was a setting to keep it on "normal" ALL THE TIME, EVEN WHEN IN THE HOLSTER. PLEASE, post a solution?

What I remember the silent switch doing is when I put it in silent mode, an indicator icon would show on the screen indicating that sound is off and the phone would also vibrate.
Now, the indicator icons are still correct (no sound in silent mode, sound in ring mode), but the vibrating is switched. It vibrates when I put it in ring mode and doesn't when I put it in silent mode.

Nope, not jailbreak. On 4.3.3 firmware also.
Problem was in settings; vibrate on silent was turned off. Turned it back on and problem is fixed.

Taskbar gone when i put it at the bottom on screen. help me???

I'm use window 7 starter pack for netbook.
The problem is my taskbar out of screen when i put it at the bottom on screen. If i set at up on screen it can be visible.
and also happen when i open folder at maximize , the part of bottom folder out of screen ( can't visible / not fit my netbook screen)
the point of my problem i think is my windows display out of my bottom netbook screen.
i already reiinstall the windows software and update windows, but it still not work out.
can somebody or someone help me...

The main issue is we won`t see the taskbar if we locate it at the bottom of the screen ,right ?
Did the issue occur recently or it shows the symptom all the time ?
If the issue occurred recently ,I recommend you reinstall your display adapters driver from the device manager .You may need to manually download the driver from the manufacturer for the netbook.
What is the present resolution of the netbook ?
We can change the resolution of the machine to have a check .
Right click the desktop , choose "Screen resolution","Resolution"
If the issue persists and it occured recently ,we can perform a system restore to recover the machine to a previous normal point .Please note you will lose some configurations after the restore point.

My advice is to try not to treat this like it is a paid service provided by compensated professionals. Ask nicely and one of the nice folks here might take some time out of their weekend to offer advice.

Rather than burn directly to disk follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it. If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality. Always use top quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

My iPod Shuffle (4th Generation) flashes red when I put it in the USB drive. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Earlier today, I tried to use my shuffle, but for some reason, not only did it not play music, it gave a tri-tone. When I put it into the USB of my computer, the light flashed red for a moment then stopped. My iPod does not show up on iTunes nor My Computer. Can someone tell me what is wrong and how to fix this?

Bug - View changes to grid when expanding a collection in the left pane.

Concise problem statement:
View changes to grid when expanding a collection in the left pane.
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Goto Library Module
2. Ensure there is a collection with at least one child - if not create one.
3. Make sure the collection is collapsed (you cant see the child and you see a right pointing triangle to the left of the collection name)
4. Change to Loupe view
5. Click the right pointing triangle next to the parent collection you just created to expand it.
Actual Results:
View changes to grid
Expected results:
View should remain unchanged - in this case Loupe view.

The first is that I can't view the aperture library anymore directly from iphoto.
THat is exceeding strange since iPhoto '08 could not open or share an Aperture library - that ability was first introduced in iPhoto '11 - with the latest version of iPhoto and or Aperture you can open the same library with either application - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5043

Some basics please, what vintage is your MBP, have you plugged anything else into the wall socket to verify that it is live? which light doesn't turn on, the charger or the MBP?

Try one of your other USB ports. Be sure to insert it with the plated fingers pointing upwards.

Try logging out of all the services that require your and his Apple ID. Navigate to Settings > iCloud, scroll down and tap Delete Account it will ask to either keep data on your iPad or remove it. It is up to you on how you want to proceed but I would recommend keeping it. Also Sign out of Settings > iTunes & App Store and then sign back in.

Check the USB port and the USB cable for any kind of lint, debris or bent pins.
Try another, working USB cable.
