  • Outlook 2007 Calendar not syncing any more with Blackberry Bold

I am looking for possible causes to a problem that started some time over the last 2 weeks. My BB has been running 4.6.0.162 (put out by Rogers, my provider) and I'm using the 4.6 Desktop Manager.
Until then, whenever I'd sync my BB Bold with my Outlook 2007 Calendar (on Vista), everything (Calendar, Memo, Contacts & Tasks) would sync with no problems.
Since that time, (although I didn't realize it at first) calendar appointment items that were entered on one side would not be synced on the other side, i.e: BB calendar appointment items would stay on the BB, Outlook 2007 calendar appointment items would stay on the PC. Everything else syncs OK. In fact, new tasks that have a due date will be added to the other side's calendar with no problems!
I've tried different things, including rebooting both sides, deleting the calendar file on the BB, etc., but to no avail.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

  • HT4623 I have a 3g v 2.2 that wont sync or update with my imac v 10.6

have a 3g v 2.2 that wont sync or update with my imac v 10.6

If your computer is running an OS X prior to Snow Leopard 10.6,
the answer (if it is an Intel-based Mac; not old PowerPC model)
would be to buy the retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD from Apple
for about $20, and install it. Then update that to 10.6.8 by using
the installed Snow Leopard online to get Combo Update v1.1 for
Snow Leopard 10.6.8. After that is installed & updated, run the
system's Software Update again, to see what else is available to
    that system.
Later systems can then be looked into at Mac App Store, once
the computer is running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
And if your computer is a Power PC (G4/G5, etc) and has no
Core2Duo kind of CPU -- See "About this Mac" in apple menu
to disclose the general info about your Mac. Also you can see
even more by clicking on "More Info" when looking in there...
If it isn't an Intel-based Mac, it can't run a system past 10.5.8.
    Hopefully this helps.
    Good luck & happy computing!

The iPhone 3GS supports Bluetooth 2.1 and earlier; all versions of Bluetooth are backwards compatible.

Well, first off, you are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user PUBLIC forum. You should not post your personal information like that. Try closing iTunes, reboot the computer and connect again. Are you using the latest version of iTunes, v11.1?

  • ITunes wont sync any features/updates with iPhone

Hi - I'm sure this is more of a software or iTunes question but whenever I connect my iPhone to my computer, iTunes for some reason won't sync at all with my iPhone. I noticed this when I had the iPhone5 and recently upgraded to an iPhone6. I tried importing music and photos but it will just not work. I also tried checking sync w/ wifi and sync selected songs and photos only, but it won't even go as far as saving those settings on my iPhone. My iTunes indicates that it is syncing for about 1 second and then it'll go back to normal like nothing happened. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! By the way I am currently running mac os x version 10.6.8. My laptop is a little outdated and won't let me update iTunes or my software to a more recent version. Unless I'm being naive and missing something else here.
    Thanks again,
    Gerardo

I was able to fix a problem where iTunes 12.01 would not recognize my iPhone or iPad but the device WAS recognized in iPhoto.
Another website gave me the hint to download and re-install iTunes.  I did this and it worked.  (I also restarted both the Mac and iPhone and iPad afterward for good measure).

  • Since iOS7 unable to sync any more than 600 songs. Any ideas?

Right so i had iOS7 beta as at the time a friend and i were going to make an app. Never got round to it but continued using the Beta's.
Ever since that Beta i cannot sync all 4000 songs i have. They used to work fine. I got my iPhone 3 days after the official release of the iPhone 5, at the time the first beta for iOS7 was released it was still in warranty. I had to wait till the final release was out before i could go to apple, warranty was still valid until october sometime.
Public release of iOS7 came, restored the device from fresh and still i cannot sync all my music. It will do all the other parts and sit on 'waiting for changes to apply' or 'waiting for items to copy'. Note that NOTHING was copying. Eventually, 20-30 seconds later, the phone stops showing the syncing symbol. Then the PC changes to 'cancelling sync', so i figured id test this and allow it to cancel for 12 hours. Nothing changed till i removed the device. Before i took it to apple i was going to wait for my new PC to arrive so i could have a fresh install and then fresh phone to test this issue. Unfortunately it was delayted and since i overr ran my warranty. Now apple wont speak to me without charging me.
So, BRAND new install of Windows 7 or 8, as i tried both. Fresh import of my library and complete clean restore of the iphone and still i cannot sync anymore than 600 songs.
I have a 64Gb iPhone and the songs will be taking up 32gb, they used to fit without an issue so i am lost at what is going on. How can a fresh install of windows, fresh copy of my library with all my songs re-imported not sync correctly?!?!
On another note, my iPod syncs absolutely fine from the same PC. Nothing has changed on that badboy for like 3 years, never been restored and all is happy as larry. I work in IT too so its not like I'm a technophobe, i love these devices. But like any other human, want to throw it at something very hard when things cannot be resolved.
Only thing i havnt tried is running this without my junction point to move my iPhone backups off of my SSD. Noting this just to see if anyone sees this could potentially effect things. Not sure why or how it would as the phone backs up without issues just felt the need to include anything i can to help Any help is appreciated as this has been going on like 3-4 months now.
NOTE: I didnt go to Apple as it is really frustrating trying to get a Genius bar appointment when trying to work full weeks etc. Weekend is my chillout time, so dont shoot me for not waiting to troubleshoot more then

From the technical specifications for the iPod Classic:
    Audio
    Frequency response: 20Hz to 20,000Hz
Audio formats supported: AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), HE-AAC, MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, 4, Audible Enhanced Audio, AAX, and AAX+), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV
I don't know much about Apple Lossless (which has recently become Open Source, I believe) so I have not seen any information on the bit rates used in that format, but do your files conform to the above? If not, perhaps that's why there is a problem. Bit rates for both AAC and MP3 files can only be a maximum of 320kbps, so to be honest, I'd be surprised if an iPod could handle a bit rate of 800 - 3000kbps in any of the other formats.
As for your comment about "killing the quality" - songs are at 256 and 320kbps may be compromising quality or reducing quality, but it really isn't "killing quality". If you think it is, then you need to stick to an audiophile hi-fi music set up, not iPods

  • IPHOTO 09 WONT SYNC SELECTED ALBUMS WITH IPHONE 4 VIA ITUNES

I am posting this as a question and will proceed to answer it as per the solution provided by Applecare case id
    265819669
    System
    I run Powemac G5 OSX 10.5.8 Leopard, iLife 09 and iPhone 4 & iPad2
Software versions are iPhoto 09 V 8.1.2, iTunes and iOS 5.01 on theiPad and iPhone
    Problem 1
Following software updates on all my devices I began to run into sync problems with my iphone 4, namely error message 1104
On contacting my mobile service provider they suggested:
connect iphone to itunes, selected photo tab and untick the box sync photos from iphoto then proceed to sync
    Solution 1
This allowed iphone 4 to sync thus eliminating my 1104 error message problem
    Problem 2
iPhone 4 will no longer sync selected albums, events and faces with iPhone 4
After level 3 escalation within Apple the problem was reffered to iphoto computer support who delievered this fix.
It was identified as a problem with my iphoto library not being seen by itunes despite my iphoto library functioning normally (or so I thought).
Solution 2 (I will try and articulate this as best as I can)
Open iPhoto app whilst alt key is depressed
select/ locate the iphoto library source file from your hard drive which itunes is using.  This now tells you where iphoto library resides ie this is your library in which all your photos slideshows and star rating data resides.
FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS FIX IT WAS AGREED TO RESTORE AN EARLIER VERSION OF MY IPHOTO LIBRARY FROM A TIME MACHINE BACKUP - TIME MACHINE SAVED THE DAY HERE - TAKE HEED - BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP.  BEFORE PROCEEDING ANY FURTHER, I WOULD RECOMMEND BACKING UP AT THIS STAGE, JUST FOR SAFETY SAKE.
Go to Time machine, locate iPhoto library and then select restore.
The file will be restored to it's original location and you can now begin to work on the fix without jeopardising your original library
    Close iphoto, and reset system
Open iPhoto with alt key depressed, select the recently restored file
Open itunes and try and sync your iOS device
Does the selected, albums and faces tabs in Photo tab now work? If so problem solved, if not read on.
    Restart system
Open iPhoto with the alt and command key depressed
(You will be working on the restored file as iphoto located this automatically when opening - see previous note)
a list of boxes will appear detailing repair permission etc - ensure all are ticked and follow instruction to rebuild reorganise the iphoto library.  Sorry for being vague here but I can't remember the screen details.
Let iphoto rebuild the iPhoto library file
    close iPhoto and restart system
Try the sync process again in itunes.  Does the Photo tab option whick allows you to select pictures, albums and faces should now work?
If so, problem solved, well almost.  If not, refer for further help.
Given you have just cured the problem with a restored backup iPhoto library file, should you need to work on your most recent file since that back up, repeat solution 2 from the beggining.  Once complete, you will need to move the iPhoto library file which didn't sync to the trash.
Should you have events in your originl iPhoto library which don't reside in your backup file, export these events into folders by using export "current" feature in iPhoto, then drage them bag into your new library once your problem is solved.
USE GREAT CAUTION HERE, DON'T DELTE YOUR TRASH UNTIL YOU HAVE TESTED EVERYTHING WORKS CORRECTLY.
I hope this helps someone, if so please let me know.

Other folks have resolved similar issues by trashing  the iPod Photo Cache.

  • ITunes - syncing over WiFi with iOS 7

Ever since upgrading two phones to iOS 7, iTunes is spamming the console with constant disconnects:
    [date] server iTunes[pid]: Entered:_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:id
    [date] server iTunes[pid]: Entered:__thr_AMMuxedDeviceDisconnected, mux-device:id
    etc etc
This goes on for a while, about every 2 minutes, until iTunes hangs.
Originally, I'd set up these phones to sync over WiFi. After switching this off – only for the devices on iOS 7 – the above errors stop ocurring. Again, this doesn't happen with iOS 6 devices.
Running a Mac mini with Mac OS X 10.7.5.
Any ideas beyond switching off WiFi syncing  – which is really inconvenient...

    Thank you very much!

  • Address Book Server will not sync all fields with iOS client

    Hello,
I am getting really frustrated with my Mac Mini Server.
Apparently, the Address Book Server DOES NOT sync all fields.
Only standard vCard-fields seem to synced.
I have not successfully synced user-defined fields, such as an additional date.
Any ideas / infos on how to achieve this if this possible at all?
    Thanks for the input,
    Erasmus
One thing: I posted the same question in the "Lion" (non-server) discussion - sorry for any confusion.
    One thing I noticed:
All changes made on the server in the OS X Address Book are distributed to two iOS clients (iPod 4th Gen iOS4 iPhone 3GS iOS 4).
    Any help is appreciated.

    Sorry for answering myself...
I just found out that after editing the newly distributed entry on an iOS4-Client, some fields on the server are deleted!
