My Safari is not loading YouTube correctly, please help.
Starting on January 15th, 2009, my Safari no longer loads Youtube.com correctly. The homepage looks bizarre, and not like it should. The other links on the page all have similar issues. I have below two screenshots to help visualize what I am trying to describe:

This is with Safari version 2.0.4 (419.3)
Flash player is freshly updated, if anyone is curious about that.
I would love to be able to use Safari again to view my youtube. As it is, I can see it just fine in Firefox.

Have you tried resetting Safari? You can do this via Safari menu > Reset Safari...
Also, is there a reason why you aren't running the latest versions of OS X and Safari? OS X 10.4.11 comes with Safari 3, and the latest updates to 10.4.11 now take Safari up to 3.2.1. The latest versions can be obtained by running System Preferences > Software Update

So my Safari is not loading pages correctly, making some have just plain text with no images, and others partially loaded with no images or no video.
Some pages, after trying to refresh, completely refuse to load and say that Safari can't find the server. These pages work on firefox, which is also on the same computer and what I am having to use to type this currently.
I have already reset Safari, as well as disabled extensions (which I didn't have any) and neither has fixed the issue.

You may have more than one issue, but the most important one is that your internal hard drive is failing, or there is some other hardware fault.
Back up all data on the drive immediately if you don't already have a current backup. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed. -
Safari only part loading a page, please help me.

Safari will only load part of the part, then the progress hangs, a refresh normally loads the page a lot quicker, but it never seems to finish, as though it is ALWAYS waiting for more information.
Is this a Safari problem, OSX problem, or a networking/router problem.

Wish I could help, but I have the same problem. I have a 2 month old G5 quad, 4.5 GB ram, high speed cable internet. I have the same problems with Safari hanging and refresh will load the page faster (75% of the time), annoying. I also called tech support, but as usual it is someone elses problem (internet provider, modem, etc.), not Apples. You must be on the same network as me, Adelphia??
Other things I tried:
Empty cache, delete icon folder, create new user and try it there. Same issues.
Lastly, what I have not tried:
When I got my new G5, I decided to run my internet thru my Airport Extreme Base station to my G5 Airport Extreme card. So, I haven't plugged my ethernet cable directly to my G5 from the cable modem (this will be a lengthy process if I try doing this, unless I get an 50' ethernet cable). If I do get around to doing this, I will report back on any + or - .

Since I bought my mac pro back in 2011, I have never used the app store because it never loads.

Several things to try.
Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, MacKeeper, and anti virus software, can prevent the App Store from loading
Disable anti virus software if installed
Check the firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options
Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

I turned on my computer today and it said:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
I restarted and it worked fine.
I then turned it on again later, and got the same message.
After re-seating the cables, cutting the power, trying to start in safe mode, etc, etc, I decided to try a repair.
The repair just got stuck when I pushed '1' for C:\WINDOWS. It just did nothing after that.
I tried to reformat. I put in the Windows XP disc and it loads up and I push F8 and it says "Searching for previous installations of Windows...". It did that for about ten minutes with no HDD activity until I finally shut it off.
Could ANYONE help me with this??? I am in college, and need to use this VERY SOON. It is 8:42pm RIGHT NOW and I need help BADLY. If at all possible, I would like to re-install Windows rather than reformat as there are some very important files that I need to back up before I can do a full reformat.You haven't said anything about your system configuration, or whether it has had previous problems. This information would be helpful.
Make sure that the boot drive is correctly indicated in the bios. If you have more than 1 hard drive, I would temporarily remove the second one (assuming the OS is on the first drive). I've noticed that Windows Repair install seems to easily get confused by the disk configuration with the Neo Platinum. This would also help if your power supply is marginal (if you diconnect the power as well).
A helpful thing to have would be a Knoppix cdrom. this is a cd bootable version of Linux that can be used to inspect your hard disk contents, and key files such as the boot.ini file etc. Also, if Knoppix runs, you can have some confidence that key system components are functional.

McAfee not loading onto laptops-please help

I have downloaded net protect plus onto our home PC and now need to load it onto the childrens' laptops. I get so far and then receive a message which says-'McAfee Integrated Security Platform Installer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'
I then clicked the the box that said 'close program' and then nothing happens!!! I have tried this over and over again on both laptops and it just won't install.
Can anyone suggest anything? I've already updated Windows incase that was a problem.
ThanksTry using the mcafee uninstall tool to remove any remains of previous installation attempts. Also make sure if you had any other antivirus installed that its fully uninstalled. Try a good&safe registry cleaner such as comodo system cleaner. Then try again, and if it still dosnt work then dump netprotect plus as its not even that good. Cheers

One script not loading...please help.

I am a CS 6 Premium - user and have now also used Adobe Story (the free version, considering the Pro - version) for a while - happily.
- However, today - one script wouldn't open - it just keeps loading and loading and is never opened. All the other scripts I have opened though, and they seem just fine.
Nonetheless - This same script will open on my iphone - app (where I also made some notes, this I did not do on any of the other scripts - don't know if there is a correlation..).
I am on a Macbook Pro and using Adobe Story in the Safari - browser.
Would be very thankful for some help - a rather desparate situation.Thanks for great help from support team found here on this forum.
File was quickly fixed, de - bugged, and sent to me by Ratnesh - so many thanks! I am breathing in a slightly different manner now.
Problem was this: The script was unloadable after I had made comments on my Iphone (as far as I can understand - did some tests). These comments were not synced to my browser - project either. I hope this bug will be fixed.
If any others have been able to do comments with their Iphones without any trouble like this, I should be curious to know how/why it works in other cases.
- For now I am not making any comment to myself while on the go - other than dictation...:)

Macbook Will Not Boot Up Correctly - PLEASE HELP

So my MacBook Pro 17" boots up to the login screen where I have two names. One of the login names works fine, but the other will not let me sign in. After I put my password, the desktop background for that name comes up then it freezes and just has the spinning mouse rainbow. I really need to get back in that name as it has all of my programs and projects. How do I fix this?
Thanks, Joewell, it boot up fine now. i ran one boot in safe mode, then restarted and now it boots up fine. i don't really know how safe mode works, but it seemed that one boot fixed the problem!

my youtube does not work on safari only when i try to play a video it says "This video is not available on mobile add to playlist" But i am using a mac air 11 inch it is not a mobile. Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Safari will not load after update to 5.0.1
Ever since I updated my MacBook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo, Leopard 10.5.8) all available software yesterday, including an update to Safari 5.0.1, nothing will load on Safari.
It will get stuck in a perpetual load with the status bar not reaching further than the http://.
I have tried EVERYTHING (well, it feels like everything) including totally uninstalling Safari and reinstalling. I've also deleted caches, reset every setting, checking that it's running in 32-bit, made sure it's not running with Rosetta, everything I could find on forums up to now.
I have also tried reinstalling an older version and despite having deleted EVERY single Safari file from my computer, it keeps telling me that I have a newer version instaled so it won't downgrade (As an aside, that is RIDICULOUS, utterly ridiculous)
Please please please help me as I need to use Safari and related programmes every day for work and this is making me very frustrated!Welcome to the forums!

1. Go to Home/Library/Safari/ folder and remove the following two files:
• history.plist
• lastsession.plist
(Safari may not load properly If these two files are corrupted.)
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/ and remove the contents of that folder.
(These are just webhistory files and are not required for Safari to run. However, similar to preference files, problems can arise if they have become corrupt.)
3. Locate the cookies.plist file that's located in the Home/Library/Cookies/ folder and remove it.
(Again, faults in stored cookies may interfere with Safari's launch.)
4. Check whether any of your third-party internet plug-ins may be interfering with the launch of Safari by carefully moving them to the desktop (do NOT delete them at this stage). You can find these in two places:
Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ folder, and Global plug-ins are located in the Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ folder.
Also look in Library/Input Managers where other third party add-ons may lurk. If you find a SIMBL folder, please note that some SIMBLE.bundles may require updating or possibly removal.
Restart Safari and place them back in the correct folders, one at a time, closing and re-opening Safari each time. If you discover that one of them was causing the problem with launching Safari, trash it and download and install a fresh copy.

MacBook 5.1 Safari will not load
I'm having trouble loading Safari on my MacBook 5. Before this morning I had no issues. Today when I attempt to pull up a Safari browser my entire computer locks up. If I have the Force Quit open I can cancel the browser. If not, I can't even select the Apple in the far top left corner.
Everything else works fine but Safari gets hung everytime. I get so far as half of the homepage displayed then it just stops.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did the following (outlines in a previous post)

Go to system prefs>users>create a guest account.
log into the guest account and launch safari 5.1 from there
and see if you experience the same issues.
if you do not, then it is certainly a preference issue, or conflicting extension, possibly a cookies issue
alternatively, a swifter method to resolve this issue, would be to get an app called "AppZapper"
open appzapper, make sure safari is closed (once open, you may need to uncheck in the appzapper prefs,'keep apple apps safe'),
drag the app into the box, and it will auto discover all related supporting files for safari.
you can then either delete them all at will, then remove the files from the trash and place them in a folder to restore individually at a later date. or select which ones you want to go -
My Safari will not load any secure website
Hello Everyone,
Recently my Safari will not load any secure webpage that I try to connect to, i.e.: Google, Gmail, YouTube, PayPal, but Safari will load insecure webpages that I have either bookmarked or that I manually type in their URL. Everytime I try and load one of these secure webpages like Google, i get the error "Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server www.google.com." I have searched through these threads and have tried a few of the remedies suggested, all to no avail. I've reset Safari, I've deleated all plug-ins, I've cleared cashes and history, I've removed all cookies and internet data, I've changed my Mac's dns to Google's 8.8.8.8 // 8.8.4.4, and still no fix. The problem even persists in safemode. Even the webpages I can load take forever to load. Just getting to this forum took nearly 3 hours as every page loaded took roughly 10-15 minutes. I am at a loss as to what could be causing this and how to fix it.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Back up all data on the drive immediately if you don't already have a current backup. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
