That is usually the fix but try this now.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if that helps.
You can also try this - quit Safari. From the home screen - Double tap the home button and your recent apps appear the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Safari icon until it wiggles. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the app. Tap the home button twice. Restart the iPad.

Just had my mac mini's superdrive replaced by Apple, I have it back now and the top get so hot you cant touch it, I installed fancontrol and it climbs to 100 C but dont think the fan is running as it says 000rpm?
Have you spoken to whoever replaced the superdrive? Why not take it back there?

MacMail has stopped noting when I have read an email. For example, I had 17 unread messages, so I read them. Despite me having read them AND deleted them, the inbox still has 17 new messages displayed. Can anyone help resolve the incorrect display?
Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com

I keep getting the error 306 cannot connect to the iTunes Network when downloading songs on iTunes. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps from the forums and my technical issues are still unresolved. I have Windows 7. Please help!!
iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490 ) and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
Open iTunes.
Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Parental Controls tab.
Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.

For about the past week, Facebook has been taking forever to load (or just doesn't) on my mac (OSX 10.5.8; Safari 5.0.6). Other sites are fine. I routinely empty the cache, clear history, cookies, etc. each time I shut down. Suggestions?
I don't use Facebook, but I can say that clearing the cache every time you shut down is excessive - unless you're sure the cache is corrupt you should leave it alone. It exists to speed up your browsing experience by loading frequently requested items from your drive rather than downloading them fresh from the internet each time. So, I would say stop clearing your cache and see what happens.
As for clearing cookies: I'm not sure what method you currently use, but I would recommend you download and install CCleaner. It's free, and allows you to build up a list of cookies that you want to clear and those you want to keep, before deleting them.
Both of these may help speed things up by reducing the amount of work Safari has to perform whilst browsing. Regardless, I'd say that, unless there's a reason you've not mentioned for performing the "purging" that you do, making these two changes should see improvements in general web browsing if not specifically when loading Facebook. -
Cookie settings are correct;history,cookies and cache have been cleared.Still some sites say I need to enable cookies.
You need to enable third-party cookies if you want to logout from Hotmail. If you do not want to enable third-party cookies (I don't) then you need to remove the live.login and passport.net cookies yourself.

Are you at home trying to connect through your home router? If you are at home, did you put your home routers encryption code as your password? The encryption code is what your iPad is looking for and it is usually found on the router and is typically a 13 digit combination of letters and numbers. Let us know......

There has to be a reason for that which a crash report should reveal.

I had an old iphone 4s that was backed up on icloud. When I got a new iphone 4s, the back up from my old iphone and new iphone stayed. Now i'm running out of GB and my iphone hasnt been backed up in weeks. If I delete the backup from my old iphone on my new iphone to clear space, will it delete the information I had in my old iphone, which is now in my new iphone? help!!! thanks.
if you go to 'settings - iCloud - storage and backup' and remove an old backup, it won't do anything to the current settings/information on your phone, it will only remove the backup.

IPhone4 screen does not respond to touch! AT ALL!! help!!!!
My iPhone screen went kaput suddenly while I was on a call. I cannot perform ANY touch interaction with the iphone at all. I cannot power it off, unlock, swipe to recieve calls.. you get the drift. I tried a hard reset, still the same. I resintalled the s/w, still the same. I took off the cover, still the same. The software is working just fine, it's not hung or crashed. Just the screen won't take any user interaction!! Pls help!!!
I took it to AppleCare, I'm out of warranty so only solution is to buy a new phone. Please suggest if you know or have heard of anything to make this work. Thanks!
Again, I have tried a hard reset multiple times, so please don't suggest that.Sounds like the digitizer went bad. It's part of the glass and although it is replaceable, it isn't easy. There are non-Apple repair shops that will do this for you for less than $100 in the US. Or you can do an out-of-warranty repair with Apple and they will replace for $149.

When I attempt to open a Safari window on my first-generation iPad, it opens to a blank screen. I can see the web address bar and the search box, but the rest of the page is white. 1. Double-click the Home button to close all Inactive Apps in Task Bar
2. Hold the Apps in Task Bar down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close Apps
4. Tap center of screen to return to Home Screen
