I am sorry to learn that your phone has some water damage smreyn! Liquid damage can cause many different issues, including inability to recognize chargers and accessories. i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?

not sure what the problem might be, but you can try the following:
While pressing ALT+CMD on the keyboard, click on the Aperture icon in the dock: Aperture then opens in a special "recovery mode", and you're prompted to choose what kind of repair you need: Repair Permissions / Repair Database / Rebuild Database
Considering the situation, I'd recommend you to try "the "Repair Permissions" option first.
If that isn't enough (and it may well be the case), then go straight for the "Rebuild Database" option; it's a non-destructive opration anyway, but since you've just installed Aperture you shouldn't have anything valuable in the default library...
NOTE: if you do have some pictures in the library, instead, do a backup first! Time Machine is your friend
Another option would be to launch Aperture while keeping only the ALT (option) key pressed: Aperture will ask you what library you want to open, or you can choose to create a new one from scratch.

Let us go back over that Adobe document regarding troubleshooting damaged projects.

Where you able to follow that path and delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file at the end of the path? And, after you did, did the saved/closed programs still refuse to open? If you could not carry out this procedure, what were the limiting factors that kept you from do

That is an important one. How far did you get into following the instructions given in the document? If you could not complete the test, what was the major block that prevented you from doing so?
I want to make sure that we have gone through everything in that document and ruled all factors there in or out. If it was a matter of you not understanding the instructions, I am hoping that the above will channel you questions to me so that I can clarify anything that you did not understand in the Adobe document instructions.
I do not recall if I asked previously. Even if you cannot open all your saved/closed projects, can you still open a new project and save/close it? Maybe even reopen it?

The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. I had recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and thus had to re download Adobe Digital Editions. I downloaded Version 4.0 but the problem seemed to be with the authorization between the e-reader and the computer. While in ADE click the help button and click erase authorization then re do your user id and password. It worked for me.

I am also having this same problem. I have updated my computer. I have downloaded the complete brother driver package from Apple as well as the drivers from Brother. As far as I can tell, all have been installed successfully. It is only when I try to ADD the printer do I get that message. You may be able to determine the reason for this error by examining your Mac's logs with Console. To do that find the Console app - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
