If yes, please try Help -> Repair option to repair Acrobat XI pro. Then try to perform the covert operation.

Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)

HT1338 server will not respond when trying to update

The Software Update Server (macupdate.cg.ac.uk) is not responding.
Please help this is the message i get every time i try and update my software now i have an iphone 5 my itunes needs to be updated but it wont because i need the latest software update so i can download the new version of i tunes. I am using Mac OS X 10.6.7 i am running fine on internet and am connected with good broadband speed.

You're saying that there is an issue when trying to use Software Update to get to 10.6.8, correct? An alternate way to apply that update is to download the 10.6.8 update from the Apple download site.
Before running it, bring up Disk Utility, repair permissions, apply the update, and repair permissions again when done. With that, you can now install iTunes 7.

Ext HD will not unmount when trying to Erase?

Many have had your problem. Often if comes down to having a Western Digital internal. When you say your drive checks out OK with DU, does that include having a GUID partition map? If it doesn't and you fix it with DU, then there still is no certainty that the installer will see your drive. But, making it GUID is worth the try assuming it isn't. Be sure you are well backed up. I suggest that you make a bootable clone of your Leo installation on an external drive--assuming one is there.

This could be as simple as dirty feed rollers but could require servicing in the end. See this article for feed problems. Give the steps a shot and let us know if it helps.

Iphoto Images will not Load when trying to attach as a file.

When trying to attach a Iphoto image to either gmail or facebook, I am able to access Iphoto; however, I receive a message "Loading Iphoto images" but the photos never load. This just recently occurred a few weeks ago and I have never had problems uploading photos from Iphoto in the past. I am able to drag the photo to my desktop and then upload from the desktop folder but am curious why the Iphoto images are no longer being loaded.

Get message firefox already running but not responding when trying to launch..tells me to close firefox wondow and try again (no ffox window is open)

When trying to launch Firefox I get the following message.
"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
This is not the first time and I am tired of having to restart my computer. BTW I have Firefox as my default browser, but had to use IE to get to this support site!
In answer to the next question...every time I TRY to open Firefox.

Simple fix for you I think--it works for me.
1. Open your TASK MANAGER (rt click on your taskbar)
2. Go to PROCESSES
3. Scroll down until you see "firefox.exe"(or anything with the word Firefox in it)
4. Click(highlight) the "firefox.exe"
5. At the bottom right side,click "End Process"
6. Close the Task Manager and do whatever you were attempting to do.

Red Slider will not appear when trying to force reboot

I found my old ipod touch and it says Disabled connect to Itunes. I do not have my origional pc to re-synch so i am trying to do the force restore. However i cannot get the red slider to appear in order to turn ipod off. I have tried numerous combinations of buttons. Any ideas?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Firefox will not respond when trying to delete history.

When I go to "clear recent history" and click on "clear now" it immediately states that the program is not responding. Does the same after reboot. It's not letting me clear my history, and I've tried 6 times, all with the same results... I have to close the program from the task manager. Is there a fix?

How much history do you have?
You can type a common character like a colon (:) in the search bar in the History Manager (Library).
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Outlook 2007 (on vista) will not show when trying to synchronize in v4.3

I've installed DM v4.3 on vista and and want to synch with MS Outlook (2007). However, in the synch configuration (calender, contacts, etc.) my options are:

<Yahoo>
<ASCII Importer/Exporter>
Where is Outlook?? Does anyone know why it's not showing up? I'm not using an enterprise server. I have seen this work on the same set-up so I know it's not a compatibility issue. Any help would be greatfully appreciated!!

Do you mean a NIkon CP 5000 (Coolpix 5000)? Aperture supports many raw formats, but not all, because the raw support has to be camera specific. Not all NEF files are in the same format - all Nikon cameras will call their raw files NEF.
For some cameras Aperture never included raw support. The currently supported cameras are listed here:

It looks like your camera is not on this list, so if you want to shoot raw with that camera, develope the raw files using a different raw converter (Adobe's dng converter or the suftware that came with your camera) and import tiff or dng files to Aperture.

Firefox crashed, will not reopen. Removed perhaps corrupted Firefox. Used Chrome to download new version. Still will not open. Mozilla Crash Reporter continues to come up. I hit open and it just continues to come up.

My Firefox crashed. I got Mozilla Crash Reporter. It refused to reopen no matter how often I tried or re-booted. It continued to try to restore Tabs. So I used MS Control Panel Add/Delete Programs. I deleted it and then used Chrome to download a new version. But it continues to try to reopen tabs. I love Firefox in spite of it's repeated crashing .... often when I am saving pictures to my hard drive. I love the add-ons and extensions. How do I get around it's effort to restore Tabs? How do I get it to open? I don't care about the Tabs. My Thunderbird email address is [email protected] My OS is MS Windows XP. Please help, Gary

Sometimes the Firefox window gets "off screen" somehow. You often can force it to appear on the screen by right-clicking the little thumbnail image above the Taskbar and choosing Maximize. Does that work?
