  • My messages screen is blank after upgrading iPhone 5 to IOS 8

    I upgraded my iPhone 5 to IOS 8 this morning and now my messages screen is blank (white). I can see an incoming message on the screen when the phone is locked but disappears after unlocking. The Messages icon reflects an ever-increasing number of unread messages. Help!!

    Hi ..
    Reset the device:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    No data is lost due to a reset.

  • Iphone become hot after upgrade to IOS 5

    I had Upgraded my Iphone 4 IOS to IOS 5 yesterday... But after Using for Few Hour my iphone become hot ... any can tell me what happen and how to slove this ?

    "Invalid SIM" messages almost always indicate that the phone is locked to a different carrier. If you believe that you purchased an unlocked iPhone - and not that there is a difference between "without contract" and "unlocked/SIM free", and note as well that only a genuine Apple Store could sell an unlocked iPhone; a unit frm any other dealer would be locked - you'll need to talk to the Apple Store in Vancouver. You will not be able to get support for a Canadian iPhone in Brasil.
    Regards.

  • 0x2D becomes 0xAD after upgrade from 8.5 to XI 2

    We used to use Crystal 8.5 to create reports with embedded email commands for use in eDocPrinterPro, which converts the report to .pdf format and attaches the resulting .pdf document to an email, with an email address as specified in the embedded commands. These are included in the report as %%command%% and printed white on white so as to be invisible if the report is printed.
    Now we have upgraded to Crystal XI 2 this no longer works with email addresses containing a hyphen since, the suppliers of eDocPronterPro tell us, the email address contains 0xAD rather than 0x2D as the hyphen character.
    We also see this with other characters, for instance spaces being changed to 'non-breaking' spaces, and hence where the created .pdf file used to be saved into C:\My pdf Files\, a new folder which looks identical to C:\My pdf Files\ is created which contains 'non-breaking' spaces
    Does anyone know how to stop this character replacement occurring?

    After CR 8.5 all versions are now in UNICODE format. It's likely due to this conversion the third party app is having issues. Try wrapping the location with double quotes so the OS can use the space.

  • Popup screen not working after upgrade to APEX 3.0

    Hi,
    I have upgraded my APEX installation from version 1.6 to version 3. My application has some popup screens that are displayed when a user presses a button. These popups have now stop working and when you press them, the user is presented with the login page.
    I suspect this is because I am not passing the SESSION value in the URL when the page is displayed. The following code is the javascript that is called from one of the buttons :-
    function sa_popup2() {
    var field_value = document.getElementById("f22@0").value;
    if ( document.getElementById("f22@0").value != "" ) {
    var enqNo = document.getElementById("P17_ENQUIRY_NO") ? document.getElementById("P17_ENQUIRY_NO").value : -1;
    var enqLineNo = wwv_flow.f02[0].value;
    var str=document.getElementById("P17_PROCESS_CHRG_INCL").value;
    var outstring = str.replace(/%null%/,"");
    windowAddress = 'f?p=200:228:::::P228_CUS_ID,P228_ENQ_STATUS,P228_PROCESSING_CHRG,P228_ENQUIRY_NO,P228_ENQUIRY_LINE_NO:'+document.getElementById("P17_CUS_ID").value+','+document.getElementById("P17_ENQ_STATUS").value+','+outstring + ',' + enqNo + ',' + enqLineNo ;
    w = open(windowAddress,"winhelp","Scrollbars=1,resizable=1,width=500,height=350");
    You can see from the above that when the windowaddress variable is set it does not include the session value. In APEX 1.6 when the popup is displayed the SESSION is automatically populated in the URL, but in APEX 3 it is not populating.
    Is there a way I can get this to continue working without changing my javascript function. This approach has been used throughout my applications, and I do not want to have to change the code if I don't need to.
    Rgds
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Yes, as you suspect, it's the fact that you're not passing the session across. I would definitely recommend recoding to include the session.

  • Iphoto-iphone sync weirdness after upgrading to Mavericks

    I didn't receive any replies on the Mavericks board, so I'll repost this here.  Really puzzled and annoyed.
    recently upgraded my iMac to Mavericks from Snow Leopard (early adopter that I am).  Much has gone more smoothly than I expected.
    However, one thing that is really strange is that after I synced my iphone 5s, I noticed that two of the iphoto albums I've synced include some extraneous photos on the phone (not in the albums on iphoto on the iMac).  I tried deleting the albums from the phone during the next sync, duplicating and renaming them in iphoto, and syncing to the new albums, but the extraneous pictures are still there.
    I'm syncing to my computer and not icloud, for what it's worth.
    Since then, I've noticed that not only are most of the albums messed up, but the time/date stamps on the pictures are all wrong so sorting by date reusults in a fairly chaotic mess.
    Any ideas/suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Jim

    Check that iPhoto is v9.5.1 (In Applications, highlight iPhoto, and ⌘I)
    If it is v9.5.1, then hold option-command and click the iPhoto icon and go through the repair steps.

    Hello theow,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand the touch screen on your notebook is not detected after updating to Windows 8.1.
    This would be the best place to start: Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8. This is a great document that covers touchscreen issues from start to finish. Do not be alarmed that it states the document pertains to TouchSmart PC's, as the steps are the same.
    It would also help to know which product you are using so I can give you more detailed information, such as driver downloads.

  • Macbook Pro Sound becomes mute after upgrading to 10.6.3

    Every thing on my new MBP was working fine, till I just upgraded the firmware from the 10.6.2 to 10.6.3
    Now the sound went mute. No mater what I do, it remains mute.
    I tried every thing, went to system preferences, tried to slide the volume slider, but nothing happenned.
    Please advise how to bring the sound back.
    Do I have to downgrade to 10.6.2 If yes, how can I do it. I am new to Macs. Will i loose my data.

    This is to inform the MacBook Pro users, that I solved my problem only after I run the installation disc of Mac OSX, and downgraded my OS to 10.6
    I would warn other users, that they should take a proper backup, before installing any Apple software updates.
    Though, I am very disappointed that Apple is releasing such updates, without proper testing. It reminded me of Microsoft.

  • Black screen at Libraries after upgrading to 8.1.(0.52)

    I can't find a thread that addresses this problem...
    I was prompted to update Itunes, Quicktime, Safari and some mobile program. I elected to update all but the "mobile" software. After "successful" install, I launched Itunes however I could not see anything in my music or video libraries. I downloaded setup to my desktop and attempted to "repair" installation without success. I then uninstalled and then re-installed Itune but with the same result. - Seems like its probably something obvious but not me....

    You could try the steps in this help page, although it say Pink, it may work. *+[Pink iTunes|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2030]*+
    Also, some users have found this method works for a black screen

  • ITunes,Safari look weird after upgrade to Tiger

    I just upgraded to Tiger with a clean erase and install. Repaired permissions before and after. Ran software update and did same. Everything seems to be working at this point, although its too early to tell, except that when I launch iTunes or Safari I no longer see the blue and white list backround. Instead I have a white panel behind my Bookmarks list when displayed, iTunes library etc. I have tried zapping pram and reinstalling, removed all but the factory ram and repeated. I have nothing attached to the computer other than the keyboard, mouse and monitor and I have installed no software other than Apple's. No problems of any kind before the upgrade. Ideas?

    Ran my eye one calibrator to reset the monitor.

  • Help - iTunes display very weird after upgrade

    Just upgraded my iMac to iTunes 7.0.2 and MacOS 10.4.8 using Software Update (foolishly accepting the "do you want to upgrade" prompt).
    Once I restarted, the iTunes display is completely wacked - displaying weird combinations of letters & symbols instead of the playlist / track titles. For example, under "STORE" instead of displaying "iTunes Store" it displays "<symbol><symbol>F7<symbol><symbol><symbol>F5...". This affects every piece of text on the iTunes window except the headings. If I select an option on the left then it displays correctly - e.g. "iTunes Store". If I select any genres, tracks, etc then they do not change.
    The music all plays fine and if I look at the library from another Mac (also using 7.0.2 and MacOS 10.4.8) then it all looks normal.
    In addition, the List view in Finder is also weird, with the List view showing all numbers (& the occasional letter) in the file / folder names or details in bold.
    This only seems to affect the main account - i.e. the one that owns the library. iTunes & Finder both look fine in other accounts on the same iMac.
    I've tried deleting any preference (.plist) files that were recently changed. This does not cure the problem.
    I'm stumped - can anyone help with any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
