My screen doesnt work and is blank but i need to do a backup but the phone has a passcode but i cant type it in . what can i do ?
i woke u this morning and my phone is blank its working but the screen isnt showing anything i need to do a backup before i take it into a store but because there is a passcode on the phone itunes need me to enter that onto the phone before i can carry out the backup?
Try resetting your phone: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
If that doesn't work, sorry, you're out of options.

From the Device to a Computer
• Launch Windows Explorer.
Using the computer keyboard, press Windows E ( E) keys.
Alternatively, right-click Start then click Explore.
• Using Windows Explorer, navigate to:
• SCH-I545 > Phone
• Utilize the computer to copy video/picture files from the following folders into the desired folder(s) on the computer's hard drive:
• DCIM
• Download
• Movies
• Pictures
• Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

I am using the Adobe Acrobat Reader on a mac and I followed all the directions to copy an image but when I press paste only half of the image appears or it appears as an empty square. What can I do to fix this?

I would like to inform you that not all the browsers and online PDF readers support copying text from a PDF. If you have opened the PDF online, please download PDF file to your computer and then open the file in Adobe Reader.

This issue appears where there are any inconsistencies in your catalog (generally for video files). This issue may be due to offline files, missing files, video scenes. The recommendation here would be to fix these inconsistencies and try again. If that doesn't solve the issue, please follow steps mentioned in email by me.

My ipod 5 touch screen doesnt work and shows vertical lines?
So, I was getting ready to go to my competition and my ipod 5th generation fell out of my pocket. It fell on the screen and when I looked it apeared to have no external damage.. I turned it on and it had vertical black, white, and even some blue lines on the screen. The touch screen since has not worked. The ipod apears to be fully functional, the time is changing and it conects to itunes. However I can not use my ipod because the touch screen doesn't work. My cousin is a tech nerd and he says that I internally broke the touch screen.
As for fixing it, I've been told a screen replacement will fix the problem. I have also heard that apple with not fix my screen but they will send me a new ipod and that is not what I want. Does anyone know where I can send it in to get fixed and for how much? Or where I can buy a screen replacement kit and how much that would be? And most importantly do you think replacing the screen will fix my problem?A third-party place like the following

Yes, it will keep the music.
Close all open apps or programs. Open iTunes, look for Check for Updates in the menu and click on that. Then follow the prompts.
When the update is done. Open iTunes and in the menu look for show sidebar and click on that, then connect your iPhone to iTunes, click on your phone's name on the Sidebar, review all the tabs to make sure your sync option are what you want them to be (music, movies, photos, books, etc.) and after that click sync or apply and wait for the sync to finish. -
I cannot backup my iPhone 4 to iTunes because it says the device has been disconnected during "Step 5" (syncing purchases) but my phone is still connected. iTunes is up to date, I don't want to install iOS 6.0.1 until I backup my phone (when I installed iOS 6, I lost everything and had to restore to previous backup. Would hate to not have a more current backup and lose everything again). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still the same problem. Please help!
You have to delete the corrupt back-up so iTunes can at least back-up the current data on the iPhone and then restore it. Search these forums, there a several good posts on how to delete the corrupt back-up.

Do you mean you can't get it to work with WiFi? I don't believe you need cellular service to use anything except phone related services. So iMessages should work if you have an active WiFi connection. But I'm not an iPhone expert. You might get the manual to see if it is helpful:

Well the problem is suppoused to be the screen, because my macbook recognize the divice and its conected to the itunes, bue the screen is all in blue and withe.
I bought the iphone 4s last year in USA at the store located in the Grand Central Terminal in New York, it has no more warranty because i checked it online, and also i dont have the bill.
I am from Argentina, and i could possible go to united states in december o january, so i wanted to know if the apple store could take the divice if it is impossible to fix, at certain price so that i can bought a new one 5 or 5s, or the device is just trash from now?
Thanks, and sorry for my bad english.Apple doesn't fix phones, they replace them. Out of warranty replacement for the iPhone 4S is $199. When you get to the US, you can request this replacement.

Restored from backup or restored as new?
If you have not restored as new, that would be the next troubleshooting step.
If you have and the issue continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation. -

No in order to backup to iTunes, you would need to unlock your phone.
In order to import pics to your computer you would need to unlock your phone. -

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain LionI just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation. My computer did have the faulty part you linked to. I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager. Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge. They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test. They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above. I've never had this experience before. Even brand new, I got occasional crashes. Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow. Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed. Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...

Did the trick! Not sure what I did to cause the screen to go numb, but this worked perfectly!!! I cleaned the screen and must have inadvertently selected something that locked the screen. This perfect solution kept me from having to run to the Apple Store. Many thanks.
