My screen has cracked for no obvious reason, is there anything I can do?
The warrentry says this excluded, but i haven't misused or abused it at all, is there anything I can do?

I suggest that you bring it to the nearest Apple Shop, and see what they say.
If they are going to charge you too high for the repairing or refuse to repair it , then you can try iPodResQ at your own risk

The problem keeps surfacing every time I use the browser. Around 1-2 times per session. It causes the screen to become unresponsive, and soon after it blacks out for about a second or so. Once it comes back I get a message saying that my Display driver has become unresponsive, but has recovered. Firefox continues to work, but sometimes the upper right row of buttons (minimize, maximize, close) either disappears or ceases to work. Never have had a similar problem before with any other browser or application.

Since I upgraded to Firefox 36 a few days ago my MacBook Air's battery has been draining at a horrendous rate when I've got Firefox open. For instance, just now when I'd not got Firefox open, my activity monitor told me I've got two hours usage, but as soon as I opened Firefox (even with not having a window open) my usage was instantly downgraded to about 50 minutes. I'm having to recharge the lappy every four hours, which is ridiculous - and wasn't happening until I installed the upgrade.
On top of that, since I installed the upgrade, Firefox has crashed at least once a day, which hasn't happened at all in the nine months I've had this MacBook Air.
This isn't like you guys! What's happened?Hi Cathy, it is mysterious why Firefox is so busy. Often Firefox has cache maintenance and other tasks that make a lot of disk accesses, but they shouldn't run continuously.
Could you try operating Firefox in its Safe Mode for a while to see whether that makes any difference? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

I do a Google search it locks-up. Other times it locks up for no obvious reason. I am using Windows 7. I never have any problems with the latest version of 3.6.
Even if I shut it down, I cannot open it again without re-starting my computer. So for me right now the beta version is useless!!!Apple doesn't monitor all the threads, so the best thing to do is send in feedback:

Satellite L450 crashes for no obvious reason
I have a two month old L450 running "windows7".
Within a week of purchase and for no obvious reason, the screen went black with a blue message box in the centre.
It only remains on the screen for a few seconds before shutting down so I don't have chance to read the message.
This has happened on a number of occasions since.
The only words I have managed to see are "crash dump" and something about removing hardware.
Is it possible to press a key when this happens to enable me to read the screen and is ther a "Problem Log" as in "Vista" that would enable me to see what the problem is?
I could return it to the supplier but as the fault is intermittent the chances are it would not show itself.Hi
In order to disable automatic restart follow this:
- right click on My Computer -> Properties
- On the left click Advanced System settings
- Click on Setting button in area Startup and Recovery (its a last third area)
- Remove the mark from the Automatically Restart box .
- Click OK and Apply the settings.
Now you will get all the details on the screen after the notebook has crashed again.
Why this happens?
Hmm this is not easy to say in many cases its just a software/driver issue.
Try to update the driver/graphic card driver
You should also check if your BIOS is up to date.
As you know Win7 is a new OS on the market and there could be also an compatibility issue with different 3rd party applications installed on your system
So be sure that Win 7 is also up to date! -
Help!!! I want to cry!!! My screen has cracked!!!
Hi here, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, or what i should do about it. I woke up this morning to find the glass cracked on my new Mac book pro 17"!!!. I understand that apple don't cover screens in their warranty, but surely there must be something i can do because the screen has cracked on its own!!! Please someone help me!!!!
How Travis would the glass brake on a display all by itself?
It is possible that the glass could break due to torsion within the aluminum frame if the lid was not quite square. This could be exacerbated by large temperature swings. In this case I would argue that Apple is obligated to replace the display (and lid, most likely) because of physical defect in the casing.
I'm not saying that this is what happened, or anything of that nature. What I'm simply saying is that there are many causes for many things. I try to believe that people are generally honest. Because it is quite easy to tell whether these machines have suffered a substantial fall (unless onto a very soft surface) I would find it hard to believe that Apple would refuse to repair it if there were no other signs of trauma. Then again, I don't represent Apple in any way, shape, or form. The original poster should not take my words as truth of any kind; I'm merely offering my own interpretation of the warranty, correct or incorrect. That's why these forums are user-to-user.

Here is the User manual. Go through Page 4 & 22, you'll get to know that you have to buy display panel as a Whole Display assembly because it is a touchscreen.

My iphone 5c has lifted out of its case on one side, and now the screen has cracked on that side! its still under warentee but i dont know what to do im not paying for it to be fixed when i havnt done anything! is there anything or anyone thats experianced this problem?
You can get all your question answered, by taking it into the Apple store.
If it is a manufactuing defect then you'll more than likely get a replacement without being charged.
If they deem that the phone is damaged by accidental cause, then you would need to pay for an out of warranty 5C unless you have apple care or apple care ++ -

Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price which pays for an exchange at a significantly reduced price off the full retail sales price has no effect on the existing contract nor requires signing a new contract with the carrier.

For the last week or three Firefox refreshes two or three times for each refresh. Sometimes it refreshes for no obvious reason. For instance, I'll be in the middle of typing into a forum's post block & it refreshes. Or filling out an online form. Or simply viewing a page.
You can check for issues caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

There's a black and white striped glitch on the left side of my screen on my Macbook Air! Its happened before and has been an easy fix, usually just restart or turn off my computer but don't know what else to do. Is there anything I can try now? Like lllaass said, bring it back to them. But, never ever, bring an iOS device to anyone for repairs except Apple. That voids your warrenty.
