My screen has slightly fogged corners - Help??

I purchased my 27" imac about 2-3 years ago as a refurbished model, however I've been noticing some weird markings within the inside of the screen near the top two corners. Normally when I'm near the computer, I wake it up right away, so I rarely see it without it being lit up/on. The other day I saw it turned off and noticed that there are weird fogged marks. With the screen on it looks like they are finger prints on my screen, that obviously wont wipe off.
Can anyone tell me what this might be... or what the fix is for it? Could this be some kind of vapor barrier seal or something??

If you no longer have warranty coverage, you could get a competent independent Apple service provider to try cleaning the glass. iMacs 2-3 years old did not have perfectly sealed glass, and it is possible for dust to form on the inside. The glass can be removed and cleaned on the inside, althought it is a bit tricky to remove and tricky to clean properly. There are DIY directions on the web, but I wouldn't recommend it for most people. I don't know if an Apple Store might look at it for you and say what it is, or even clean your glass for free after warranty - you'd have to ask. Apple since moved to a more tightly sealed glass.
I think it's also possible for the actual LCD display behind the glass to fail like you describe, but someone has to remove the glass to see, and etermine if the LCD display has failed, or could be cleaned.
My 2011 iMac did have some odd smudges on the inside that were visible under certain ambient light conditions, and I removed the glass and was able to clean the backside carefully.

By "Bounces up and Down", do you mean this:
The content of the screen drops down and about a third of the top of the screen is blank.
When you press the home button or any icon, the content moves back to the top of the screen.
If this is what you are seeing, it is intentional. It is meant as a way for you to be able to easily reach the icons at the top row of the screen.
Double tap the home button. Do not press the button, just lightly tap it.
All the content should drop down.
Pressing the home button or any icon will shift the content back up again.
This is a new feature designed for the larger screens in the 6 and 6+.

Yesterday, I picked my phone up off my desk and the screen had gone completely black. My phones screen is cracked, but has been for the last ten months and functioned properly. This has happened before but it seemed to turn back on after ten minuets or so. I put my phone on charge overnight to see if it would have changed by the morning. I find myself with my next problem of being unable to deactivate my alams as I cannot dismiss them. I have read other discussions and tried to reset my phone, I have done this several times without anything working. However, now when I put it on charge, every ten seconds the noise to signal that the phone is charging keeps going off!

my screen turned black and i can not see anything. calls come through but i can not answer unless i assume where the sliding tab to answer it is on the screen . i turned it off and now i cant turn it back on because it needs my passcode lock which i can not put in because i can not use the screen....!!

Try a Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
Also you can try putting iPhone on Wall Charger and Reset again.
If still nothing Restore.
If still problem it will be covered by Warranty.

Screen is slightly blurry / has bad quality

I bought new Samsung 24" LCD monitor S24C300 and new video card Nvidia GT 630. Monitor is connected with DVI cable.
Problem is that when I'm using native resolution 1920 x 1080, the screen is really small and I have to use the DPI setting thing to make screen bigger, but, when I apply the DPI settings, some programs come annoying blurry.
At the resolution 1280 x 720 the screen is good size, but the text has slightly bad quality and is little blurry, so what to do?
I have adjusted the monitors sharpness settings and I also have ClearType on, but that doesn't help.
Could somebody help me with this issue? Thanks in advance!

Please first install the latest drivers for video and moniotr.
Some times a blurry screen can be caused by a poor cable, check with anothe if possible.
You can also try other port to test this issue, like HDMI.

My iPod Touch 4G's screen has gone white and has lines on the screen. How do I fix it? Help!

I've had an iPod Touch 4th generation for a few years now, and, today, for the first time, the screen has gone white and their are vertical lines on it. What happened was I accidentally dropped my iPod Touch on tile and it landed on its back. I tried it out right afterwards to see if it was still working and it seemed like it was perfectly fine. Later on, I got an email from one of my friends, so I slid the email button on the lock screen to see the email. In the email, there was a link to a gif image, so I opened it in Safari. After I was done with it, I closed that tab. I also had a second tab open from earlier, so I wanted to close that tab as well. When I clicked on the button to see all tabs and close one, the screen completely froze. I held on to the on/off button on the top of the iPod, and, after about a minute, the screen switched to a completely white screen with lines on it. I've tried holding onto the on/off button again and it doesn't work. I also tried plugging it into my Windows 7 computer and opening iTunes, but my computer doesn't even recognized it is plugged in. It won't appear under the "computer" section in Windows Explorer, which will allow me to do USB-related tasks with it. iTunes doesn't recognize that it is plugged in either, so I can't do anything like restore the iPod to factory settings. The home button on my iPod hasn't been working for a while so i've always been using the accessibility feature that gives me a home button on the screen. Now that I can't access that, I can't hold down both the on/off button and the home button at the same time. What should I do? Should I send it in to Apple for repairs (which I won't do and would rather buy a new iPod Touch)? I am thinking of just leaving it to, hopefully, have the battery drain and the iPod would die. Then, I could charge it and see what happens. Other than that, i'm just clueless right now and I have no idea what I should do. Please help me!
My iPod Touch is an iPod Touch 4th generation model with 8GB. It is running iOS 5.1.1.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case.

Try restarting your Mac.
If that doesn't help, open a Finder window. Select your Home folder (it has a small house icon) in the Sidebar on the left.
Now open the Library folder then the Prefernces folder.
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash. Restart your Mac one more time.

Hi here, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, or what i should do about it. I woke up this morning to find the glass cracked on my new Mac book pro 17"!!!. I understand that apple don't cover screens in their warranty, but surely there must be something i can do because the screen has cracked on its own!!! Please someone help me!!!!

How Travis would the glass brake on a display all by itself?
It is possible that the glass could break due to torsion within the aluminum frame if the lid was not quite square. This could be exacerbated by large temperature swings. In this case I would argue that Apple is obligated to replace the display (and lid, most likely) because of physical defect in the casing.
I'm not saying that this is what happened, or anything of that nature. What I'm simply saying is that there are many causes for many things. I try to believe that people are generally honest. Because it is quite easy to tell whether these machines have suffered a substantial fall (unless onto a very soft surface) I would find it hard to believe that Apple would refuse to repair it if there were no other signs of trauma. Then again, I don't represent Apple in any way, shape, or form. The original poster should not take my words as truth of any kind; I'm merely offering my own interpretation of the warranty, correct or incorrect. That's why these forums are user-to-user.

Hi I have a HP w1907 when I turned on the whole pc unit it turned on and it's dislpaying normally, but when I turn off the monitor and turn it on again the screen has a portion that is much brighter than the other.I tried Auto Correction, Gamma adjusting, everything. When I adjust the brightness, contrast, and sharpness the screen adjusts with the normal portion of the screen. I had this monitor for 8 years now but is barely being used. This is the first time I had encountered this problem and I really need help please respond.

Do the letters not work whichever app you are in e.g. Mail, Notes, Safari ?
Have you tried a reset to see if the entire screen works when the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If that doesn't fix it then you could try restoring to your last backup, and next after that would be resetting back to factory defaults. If it still doesn't work then it is possibly a hardware issue, in which case you should contact Apple.
