My screen has turn bright white?

I dropped my ipod touch and the scren turn white. I can unlock it and i can see my apps, but cant watch videos because of the screen. I cant play any games or use Facebook becaus i cant see anything. Can anyone help me please? Can Apple fix it for free?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. SOmetimes it is due to a lose connection and if so Apple shuld be able to repair it for free.

You are wonderful! You are the best! I'm Stephania and I recently purchased a refurbished ipad2. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and updating & fixing it so my liking. The only thing that I couldn't correct were the photos that looked like negatives. Every photo, even on the internet, on apps, everywhere! I just couldn't figure out how to fix it. I contacted Apple Care and its too difficult to get in touch with them. I had looked through support before but didn't put in the right question. Well, today I got lucky. I did the two things you suggested and turning the "White On Black" off did the trick. I'm so happy! I had a feeling it was something simple and this is not even in the manual!

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.
