hello
my powerboog g4 ti yesterday, out of the blue, while it was on, switched to interpreting the desktop in lines and they just wiggle like crazy. i couldn't even see the cursor, there was no way of identifying anything so i shut i off via the power button. now it doesn't restart, it stays on the grey screen with the moving dial and the apple logo. the screen image seems shifted to the right and there's a blue portion on the left, so that the grey bleeds into the blue with the dancing lines. the logo gets this trail of dark gray pixels. all this is flickering and jumping. i got it to be normal when i moved the display - but now that doesn't even work.
it's an old operating system - bought in winter 2002 and never really updated it. it's been slowly dying - it's been acting up recently.

- Try resetting the iPod.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore the iPod via iTunes
- If iTunes does not see the iPod try placing the iPod in recovery mode to see if it will make it visible so yu can restore the iPod. For recovery modes see:

I recently bought a macbook (white) at the end of last year. However, recently I've had a problem where if I plug in something to the usb (like an external hdd) or the ac adapter to charge, my screen gets purple/pink lines and a blue square. Reboot the machine holding Command and r keys down, you'll boot into Lion Recovery Partition
In there will be Disk Utility, use that to select your Lion OS X Partition and Repair Permissions.
After that is done reboot the machine and see if you can log in.
If not repeat the above steps to get into Lion Recovery, get online and reinstall Lion again, it will overwrite the installed version and hopefully after that it wil work.
Reboot and try again.
If not follow my steps to create a Snow Leopard Data Recovery drive, then option boot from it and grab a copy of your files off the machine.
Then reinstall all your programs onto the external drive like setting up a new machine, then use Disk Utility to erase the entire internal boot drive (select the drive media on the far left, not the partiton slightly indented) format Option: GUID , 1 partition OS X Extended and then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the external to the newly formatted internal drive. Once that is finished reboot and disconnect the external drive.
Once you go that, boot into Snow Leopard and update to 10.6.8, use the AppStore and option click on Purchases and download Lion again and install.
Lots of work, but there is no Lion disks.

When I turn on my iPod Touch 5th generation, half of the screen has vertical white lines and it is irresponsive to the touch... is there anyway this can be fixed because this is my third time in the last 4 months I have had problems with Apple.

The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. After several problems with Apple in the last few months (and two defective iPods including this one and one iPhone), I really don't want to go through the whole process of bringing it in or getting a new one entirely. It would greatly help if someone knows a solution, even if that would require completely resetting the iPod to factory settings, as I have had is synced to iTunes before. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help. Thanks.

Try:

Dancing lines and jittery sky-..?

Hello All
I’m still kind of new to shooting video with the 5DMK2, as I’m an Architectural Photographer and I’m having more and more clients asking about video.
I’ve posted a sample video there is no audio, and please excuse the sloppy pan, I’m still trying to work out the bugs and kinks.
My problem is:
The sky seems to have a lot of jitter in it (Not sure if jitter is the word or not)
Dancing lines on the eves/edges of the house.
Is there a way to get rid of those artifacts?
I used Premiere Pro CS5, with the Vimeo HD export settings .
My workstation is as follows:
MacPro 12 Core
14 GB ram
OS 10.6.5
CS5 Master Collection
26 inch Lacie Monitor
Any Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

After BB logo on startup screen full of random lines and not reacting on touch

A few days after a new screen was installed, the microphone during calls is not working anymore, except for calls using the speakerphone function or when a (audio only) headset is plugged in.
Also the screen sometimes was not reacting on touching and a restart was necessary to let it react again. Now the phone is not starting up anymore. After the blackberry logo is on screen properly, the screen fills with random lines with different pixel motives. Nothing changes when touching and also a short click on the top button does not make the screen go blanc.
I tried rebooting with up and down volume buttons pressed, but that also makes no difference. The twitter helpdesk of BB is not responding and T-Mobile staff was not able to help me either.
I hope I can find some help overhere.

Please help - I've exauhsted all resources - Rescue and recovey T500 stuck on about screen

I apologize for reposting the issue, since I've exaushted all my resources and couldn't solve the issue:
Rescue and recovey is stuck at the about screen. I have win 7 on T500...
I've downloaded the full pack of the latest Rescue and Recovery and also tried to re-installed it. I also installed the recommended updates at the download page. I've also tried to disable my free AVG and zonealarm - nothing
I suspect something is in conflict w/ the Help and recovery, similar to the NOD32 incompatibility,
but I really don't have any idea how to debug this.
PLEASE HELP, I would kindly appreciate it

My phone was working fine and at the same time the samsung logo came up saying there was a software update, the screen went green with lines and static. Help?

I spent time online chatting with reps from Samsung who tried to get me to do a factory reset even though I'd already told them I couldn't access the screen at all. They ended up suggesting I just send it in for a warranty replacement as the phone was only purchased in the summer. I'd like to see if there are other options? I'm trying Verizon's Software Repair assistant but it seems to be stuck at the 25% downloading mark for quite some time. I'm worried I've killed all my data back up as a result. ANY help would be incredible now.

How to setup jpeg file as background image for all site pages and resolution stay same?

I have uploaded my new site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com
I have background image set the same on all site pages but image is incorrectly zoomed way in on some pages (like Home page for example).
The Donate Page shows the correct resolution which I want displayed on all site pages.
How do I set all other site pages to match background image resolution of the Donate Page?
I am not sure what I am doing wrong that is changing this, or if it's possibly a bug?
I want the background image to be full screen on all site pages please advise how to resolve.

I have re-uploaded my site to http://wwwtjhtestdec2012.businesscatalyst.com.
If I set the Master page to Tile vertically that is only way I can get full screen background image of vegetables (without distortion).
Then however another issue occurs....
On Home Page of site I set same property to Tile and the background is better (no visible line where tiles meet---above the navigation tool bar--that is what I want for all pages associated to Master.
So logically, I tried setting a 2nd associated site page to same master, to Tile but on Statement of Faith Page, notice the horizontal line where tiles meet, above my navigation bar on that site page?
Why does Muse not handle both site pages associated to the same master identically?
Any of the other options besides Tile or Tile vertically cause the background to not fill entire screen.
Ideas?

Startup screen freezes with vertical lines and a restart message

So this problem just started a couple of days ago it seems to be getting worse. I'm getting the same look, with all kinds of squares and lines on screen, although mine starts while the computer is running with color reversals and lines on the working space. Then I get a freeze and have to do a hard re-start with the power button, and finally, what you're seeing. I did notice that when I unplugged the power adaptor, the problem has gone away, at least for the past 30 minutes or so.
I originally thought it was overheating, since if I shut it down and left it, it would re-start normally after 15 minutes, but crash again in 10 minutes of running. Then I came here, and read about the video card. That could be, but why only when plugged into the power adaptor? The power adaptor has been acting up lately, in that the light is sometimes off, sometimes amber when screen shows 100%, like that.
I'll plug back and in and see what happens, and put it here. 4:53 PM Saturday.
I'll keep fooling around with it, and report back here. I'll also make an appointment for next week with the nearest Apple store - 1.5 hour drive. Grrrr. I'm home with the flu this weekend. I'm tempted to go now and shake everyone's hand.

If that does not work:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
