My screen is blurry

My screen is blurry on my ipod nano 6g touch screen, what causes this and can it be fixed

Sometimes this helps:
hold the  On/Off  and  Home  buttons at the same time, keep holding, when you see the white apple logo let go and let it start.
When this does not help, make an appointment with Apple and let them diagnose it.

  • Opening macbook pro from sleep after some hours, login screen is blurry with progress bar?

I just got my first 13'' MBP three days ago.  Both last night and the night before I closed the lid to put it to sleep overnight for about 7 hours whilst plugged into the AC as to not drain unnecessary power. In the morning when I opened the lid it was on the login page but the screen was blurry and there was a progress bar on the bottom of the screen. My sister has had a MBP for a few months but this has never happened to her. The problem only lasted about 30 seconds but is it normal? Am I maybe doing something wrong?

Did you quit out all of your applications prior to letting the MBP sleep over night?
If concerned, you can either call AppleCare or return the MBP.  You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return and/or exchange w/no questions asked.

  • A small section of my screen is blurry.

A small section of my screen is blurry.  About one inch wide and the full length of the screen. Do I need a new screen, or is there a fix?

There are a couple modules that could be defective: the LCD screen, or the main logic board.  So, there is a fix and, if your computer is not covered by AppleCare, it is likely to be expensive.

  • My Screen Is Blurry, Pixilated and Won't Respond To Touch In Lower Left Corner

I noticed it was sitting in some serious condensation from my icy drink earlier but it was the backside. First the lower left corner started acting strangely and wouldn't respond to touch. The screen looks blurry like I'm seeing double and then it gets slightly pixilated. It hasn't been updated yet to iOS 7.1.2 though. Wondering if I should power down and put it in the rice for 24 hours. I pulled the sim card out and checked the white to see if it turned red. It didn't, but my last phone was water damaged and it also stayed white.

Has anyone experienced anything like this from just condensation? I'm rice-bagging it for 48 hours just in case. I couldn't find anything like this online.

  • T61 Screen is blurry

Hi, I have T61. The screen is blurry. First I saw the error "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered."  in VISTA. I have completely removed vista and install the XP still my screen is blurry. Some times while booting I am not able to see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How can i find nvidia GPU? thanks
If you post your machine type/model (i.e.: 7661-xxx, info is on the bottom of your machine) you can determine if in fact you have a model with nVidia or Intel graphics. When you say you can hardly see the screen when booting: I have this to as I have specified dynamic brightness control in Power Manager. If you turn bright. control off next time you boot the screen will come display at the last brightness level you specified whil in Windows I think.....
Back to the original problem: fuzzyness. It sounds like once XP was installed the hardware specific display driver (either nVidia or Intel) was not installed and you may be in XP's VGA mode.

  • Screen is blurry and shaking.

I always turn my iPhone off every night. And this morning my iPhone 4s screen is blurry and kind of shaking. What am I suppose to do? because I never dropped my phone or get any waters to it.Also my signal bar and the battery bar is kind of cut into half and I don't know why. IOS is 7.1. Thanks

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • IPAD 3 display issues - Screen gets blurry

    Hi
I have an IPAD3-64GB. Lately my screen gets blurry, all display disappears and I get grey and white strips all over the screen. the only way to get things back to normal is to push the power button. is this a software or a hardware issue ? any body faced it ?
    Thx
    Chadi

    End of the story...
things got worse with my IPAD; even restore to factory settings didn't resolve the issue.
at the end i exchanged it under warranty.
the only hick up is that i bought my ipad in san francisco and at the time being i am in lebanon. so since there are no apple store in Lebanon the local dealer had to exchange it  via the regional office in dubai; thing that made me wait 3 weeks to have my new ipad and i had to pay local import taxes which amounted to 80 USD.
Hope the above sad experience helps future ipad users if they happen to have the misfortune to buy a deffective ipad
    regards

  • Iphone 4 screen went blurry after lcd replacement.

On my iphone 4, Lcd was broken, I bought a new lcd and tried to change myself, but when i am done everything, my iphone 4 screen went blurry with many different colourful lines, and finally screen stays white, i can't use it at all. How can i fix it? BTW when i tried to fix it using itunes my phone keeps rebooting so Itunes couldn't fix it, so i sense there is problem on hardware still. Thanks in advance.

There is no software fix for a hardware problem. This is most definitely a hardware problem. Your best bets are either send it out to someone who does professional iPhone repairs or buy a new phone.

  • External screen is blurry

When I connect my external screen ( iiyama vision master pro 410 ) to my macbook via the mini dvi to vga connector the screen of the iiyama is blurred. ( not just the text, everything ) It is on it's native resolution, and if i hook up any other pc to it, it's fine.
If I use a mini dvi to dvi connector and hook the macbook up to a different monitor, the image is ok, still slightly blurred, but workable.
    any ideas ??
    tnx !
    Maurits

First, I would make sure your Iiyama's "tuning" is correct. Refer to the Iiyama's user guide for how to adjust the clock phase (tuning).
Second, understand that VGA has limitations. Apple may have put heavy filtering on the video outputs to help with EMI compliance. This will cause video to appear blurry. Of the GMA950 might not have great bandwidth. People have complained about the same thing with the Mac mini, which also uses the GMA950.

  • 24" screen connected to my 20" iMac... bigger screen is blurry...?

    Hi Guys
I've set up a 24" external (non-Apple) screen with my 20" iMac... I want to have the same image showing on both screens.
When I choose mirroring however, I get the max resolutions on both screens, however everything looks bigger (and blurrier!) on the bigger of the two screens.
When I don't use mirroring, items are a smaller and crisper size on the big display.
Is there any way to set the screens up so that items are small and crisp on the big screen (and even smaller on the small one... which is fine)??
At the moment the big screen just looks like a bad magnification of the small one!
    Thanks heaps!
    Mike

The maximum resolution of the smaller screen is undoubtedly less than the maximum resolution of the larger. So, when you use mirroring, it of necessity must stretch the contents of the smaller screen to fit the larger one.
I'm not sure if you can reverse the mirroring (ie, use the second screen as the primary and the internal iMac screen as the secondary, mirrored screen). You could try putting the menu bar on the second screen in System Preferences -> Displays and see if that does the trick.
I wonder, though, why you're using mirroring with this setup? Seems like a waste of the second screen...

  • Suddenly the text on my screen is blurry.

My computer was fine earlier today. I went out (left it on and it went into sleep mode). When I returned, the text on the screen was all blurry. Not only that, but it changed the size of the screen so that nothing that's on it fits as it is supposed to.
Oddly, when I created a second account, there was nothing wrong with the screen in that account.
I've loaded all the current updates.
My bad, though - my last back up was in December (thought I had Time Machine on but it seems I turned it off some time after the end of December, don't recall why or when exactly).
This appears to be a software issue.
    Is there a fix?

    Didn't work.
And how would the resolution of the screen change without someone fiddling with it?
No, this isn't a screen resolution problem. It looks like the system has lost connection to the font it is supposed to display. There are no recognizable fonts in any of the items I open. It looks like a kind of generic font with odd colour shadows behind letters.
When I created a new account, the display was perfect.
How does something like this happen spontaneously? I was absent from my computer - and no one else has access to it - for a couple of hours and whatever happened, happened in that time I was absent.
I need to get this fixed right away as I have a graphic design project coming in shortly and I really need to see the font I will be working in.

  • Dropped iPhone - Now my screen is blurry

I dropped it from about pocket height and now everything on my screen is really blurry, everything works, but it is pretty hard to text because the letters are blurred together. Is this warrantyable? Could they fix it at an apple store? You can't tell that i dropped it. I am not trying to scam apple, i just want to know what to do, I have only had the phone for about 3 months.

Warranty usually only covers manufacture defects. I work for AT&T Mobility and can honestly say that the warranty group scrutinizes over every piece of equipment to ensure that the defective equipment does in fact fall under warranty. Apple on the other hand may have other options. You stated the phone was dropped... This is not covered under warranty.
As for checking with your home owners insurance, I personally wouldn't recommend it. From what I've been told, the insurance companies are losing money with the way the policies are written today, so I would hate to file a claim for the mere cost of an iPhone, then have my policy dropped and be forced to shop around for a new policy at a higher price then what I'm paying now. Save the claim against "home owners" for when you need it in case of an emergency

  • Text on my screen is blurry/fuzzy

hello. i accidentally hit a key (not sure which one) the other day, and then i noticed that my desktop background had changed from my customized background to the default blue Mac screen. no big deal, i just changed it back to the picture i had up before. but ever since then, the text on my screen has looked blurry. its a subtle difference but it's definitely noticeable, and a bit irritating to my vision. i tried adjusting the font text smoothness using the system preferences - appearance function, but nothing has helped. any help???
    thanks,
    nada

It sounds like the resolution may have accidentally been changed. Check in Displays preferences. It should be set to 1280 x 800.

  • My screen is blurry in one section i read up on displays is this retina burn in any help would be good thank you

Im having issues with my screen it appears to be blurry in one section

If the memory is low, double click the home button to bring up the multitask bar, tap on one of the apps shown until they start to shake, then hit the little red minus to close them. After all apps are closed that way, press the home button again and see if it works now.
Maybe you'll reset the device as well by pressing the home and sleep button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing this, but it can clear some glitches as well.

  • Screen is blurry and angled

    hi,
i m a mac user and suddenly i can t get firefox to work properly. the screen is all "funny" (it would be best if i could send you a screen shot), angled and blurry.
I have re downloaded and reinstalled firefox but the issue persists. any other software and browser work fine so the problem is definitely with firefox.
thank you in advance for your help

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
