My screen is changing colors (Red, blue, gray).  Any clue?

My screen is changing colors. (Red, Blue, Grey).  Any idea?  I could press on the back of the screen for a while to correct this but it doesn't seem to work now.  Thanks.

I would take it to an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider  (AASP) for evaluation, or call your nearest Apple Contact Center. Visit the Genius Bar at the Apple Retail Store,  make a reservation.

  • Start up screen changes color from blue/gray to brown

    My Macbook Pro recently started changing colors:  When 'start up' it begins with a blue/gray (normal) color but then changes to a light brown color.  The apple icon is still present though...
    Any ideas as to why the screen changes its color?

    You should try to erase the drive with Disk Utility, so any filesystem problem will be fixed, but if you haven't made a backup, you'll lose files.
    1. Go to Utilities > Disk Utility.
    2. Select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and go to Restore tab.
    3. Connect your external disk and drag it from the sidebar to Destination box, and press Restore.
    If it doesn't help, take the Mac to an Apple Store

  • My I pad has a red blotchy screen and keypad has gone blue? Any ideas how to solve?

    MY iPad has a red blotchy screen and keypad has gone blue, any ideas if I can rectify this?

    This happened to me a few times. Take the case off and sit down, give it (Back side of ipad) a hard smack on your thigh, but do it in a way that the back lands flat on your leg. There are some component cables that can come loose and this smacking motion can cause them to go back into place.
    *be cautious so you don't dent the Ipad*

  • Oracle form query mode does not change color to blue

    Hi, I have created a custom form and using query mode in it. However on hitting F11, the record does not change to blue, instead it turns white. Can someone please guide me as to what I should be doing to get this right?
    Thanks for your responses.

    The fact that it doesn't change color when you "Enter Query" mode tells me your Custom Form does not conform to Oracle Application Programming Standards. I recommend you visit the Oracle Applications Documentation web site, choose your EBS version and scroll down and look at the Oracle Applications User Interface Standards for Forms-Based Products and Oracle Applications Developer's Guide to ensure your Custom Form conforms to Oracle Standard.
    Also, I suggest you always use the TEMPLATE.fmb (or if you can't find this form, use the APPSTAND.fmb) as the starting point of any Custom Form. This will ensure you have the minimum required objects and code in your form.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • My ipod touch's screen is changing colors and will not respond to the buttons

    my sisters ipod touch is a 4th gen and the screen recently started changing colors, it does not respond to the buttons and will not turn off. should i wait for the battery to die then charge it. she said it started happening when she was charging it. could it be the charging cable? i do not know what OS it has.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Email download changes color to blue and prints blue

    I recently purchased a Satellite Pro L300=EZ1523 and all is great except when I download attachment from email it turns the color to blue and also prints out in blue color.  This seems to come from Picasa3.  How can I fix this issue?  My documents print out the way they should.  Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you,  dml

    You just changing the color on runtime without saving it, next time you launch the form it will read the default properties set. Follow the steps in the below post written by jmcilhinney
    to create the settings (remember to create unique  and easy to refer names):
    http://www.vbforums.com/showthread.php?681367-RESOLVED-Save-Load-TextBox-BackColor
    and then from your code you can set the new colors as following:
    Dim slateBlue As Color = Color.FromName("AliceBlue")
    My.MySettings.Default.BackColor = slateBlue
    Like this everytime you change the color will be saved in the temp folder of the user machine and will be retreived on each launch.
    You will be able to see the new settings created in your app.config as below:
    <userSettings>
    <WindowsApplication2.My.MySettings>
    <setting name="BackColor" serializeAs="String">
    <value>255, 192, 192</value>
    </setting>
    </WindowsApplication2.My.MySettings>
    </userSettings>
    Just a note that changing the above value in the code will not reflect in app.config file, rather since it is a user scoped variable it will be saved in C:\Users\{YourUsername}\AppData\Local\  under you application dir in the file user.config as
    below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <configuration>
    <userSettings>
    <WindowsApplication2.My.MySettings>
    <setting name="BackColor" serializeAs="String">
    <value>AliceBlue</value>
    </setting>
    </WindowsApplication2.My.MySettings>
    </userSettings>
    </configuration>

  • Two month old iPohone 5s and the screen is changing colors with jitters, any suggestions?

    Recently I've experienced the screen of my phone going crazy. Kind of like when a TV gets bad connection and different colors happen. It gets worse with the camera. Any suggestions?

    Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

    http://physics.ucsd.edu/neurophysics/Manuals/National%20Instruments/NI%20Vision%20Assistant%20Tutori...
    De hecho también se tienen herramientas para reconocimiento de colores tanto en el vision development module y con el vision builder, que es una plataforma de desarrollo de aplicaciones de vision que no requieren de programación. Te comparto un tutorial de esta plataforma

  • Changing tick colour on JSliders. any clues?

    Hi there,
    Is there a way to change the colour of the tick labels or colours on a JSlider?
    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Sorry, I thought you were referring to just the basic JLabel. But wait a minute -- the slider labels are JLabels:
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    public class SliderTest {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            JSlider s = new JSlider();
            s.setMajorTickSpacing(10);
            s.setPaintTicks(true);
            s.setPaintLabels(true);
            Random rnd = new Random();
            Dictionary labs = s.getLabelTable();
            for (Enumeration keys = labs.keys(); keys.hasMoreElements(); ) {
                Color clr = new Color(rnd.nextInt(256), rnd.nextInt(256), rnd.nextInt(256));
                Object key = keys.nextElement();
                ((Component) labs.get(key)).setForeground(clr);
            JFrame f = new JFrame("SliderTest");
            f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
            f.getContentPane().add(s);
            f.pack();
            f.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
            f.setVisible(true);
    }By the way, I have poked around in the source code for javax.swing.plaf.basic.basicSliderUI, like its
    paintLabels method, and no joy -- there doesn't seem to be a UIManager key involved.

  • Pavilion DV& screen changing colors

    When turning on the laptop, the screen changes colors (red, green, gray, blue, etc) before coming on.  It took almost 25 minutes for it to stop and then finally get the sign on screen.
    What could be the problem? The laptop is about 3 years old.
     If it need to be repaired, where would  i go (Staples? BestBuy?)
     Is it something I could fix myself?
    TIA

    @harperhp ,
    Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forum.  Generally when you experience this issue it is due to a failure of the graphics card.
    Does this happen if you try and boot into safe mode?
    Entering Safe Mode (Windows 7)
    Please post back if you can get into safe mode without this issue.  If you have the same problem going into safe mode then you will want to contact HP phone support for repair options.  You may not be able to get the parts through third party vendors.

  • My Macbook display changes color when I open applications. It looks like there is a light blue layer over the screen, thus changing the color of my display. This layer goes away when i quit the applications.

    I am facing a problem and I am not sure if its a graphic card malfunction. When I open applications like Chrome, VLC player, and most apps, my display suddenly changes color. It is as though the Theme was changed. The normal grey panel on opened windows turns to light blue and everything else seem as though there is a light blue layer on top of it. When I close these applications (quit) the display returns to its normal self.
    My MacBook Pro is 2 years old, and I have an extended warranty. Will Apple replace my graphic card if it is actuall the graphic card's problem?

    I had that problem, too, and it's been documented both here and on the Adobe forums. What happens is that when you have dynamic switching on, when an application that uses your discrete GPU kicks in, the screen will change color. My problem lasted for a couple of weeks then just vanished.
    What you need to do is download Cody Krieger's gfxCardStatus and turn off dynamic switching and leave your GPU set to discrete only. That's the only fix that I know of at this time. I don't know why it happens or why mine stopped.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • Lenovo G550 laptop - red, blue, yellow specks and lines on screen

    Hello,
    I have a 2 year old Lenovo G550 laptop, system model 20023 ( Dual-Core CPU T4300 2,10Ghz, 3,00GB RAM) running 32-bit Win 7 Home Premium OS with graphic card Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
    Month ago, I started getting 2 vertical lines on my screen, which change colors and tend to disappear when I tilt it. Recently, problem graduated to red, blue, yellow specks all over the screen. Tilting no longer works, but I noticed a definite relationship with the degree of pressure on the case. When I push hard enough on the left spot below the case (where hard disk is located), the problem resolves completely. I also tried plugging another monitor in and there seems to be no problem either. Please, help.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Graphic card issue sounded highly unlikely with the external monitor image appearing to be normal. I tried reseating the lcd cable and it fixed the problem.
