My screen is frozen by a window that says your ipad cannot be backed up thru icloud. how do i get it to go away?
Has anyone had there screen freeze with NOT EOUGH STORAGE the ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough icloud storage available?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I am a new ipad user so perhaps that may be the issue but I have tried to research the message I keep receiving when I try to back up my ipad to the icloud.
The message states " This ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough icloud storage available."
It says at the bottom display 4.9 GB available of 5.0GB on icloud.
When I go to Manage Storage and there is a list of all apps, etc listed I have turned almost all of them off and still I cannot back up to the icloud.
I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. Any suggestions I have the new version of the ipad 64G ??
Thanks from an ipad newbie!It doesn't sound like you are doing anything incorrectly from what I can see. Have you tried restarting the iPad and then see if you can backup?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I have a file that I havel been adding to for years. I opened it a week ago but today I tried and I got the window message

Are you sure you haven't upgraded Pages on your Mac to Pages 5?
Check your Applications folder and the Applications/iWork folder. You may have 2 versions on your Mac.

I accidently closed the window with all my frequently used app tabs, now the only window that opens was an extra one I had opened. How do I get back all my app tabs from the previous window, and why didn't it give me the usual warning you are closing more than one tab? edit
DetailsThen the (App) tabs from that window are lost unless you can restore an older copy of the sessionstore.js file (Time Machine?) that has that lost window.

I get a message that says "this accessory is not optimized for this phone" how may I get rid of the message?
A lot will depend on what "accessory" the message is "not optimized". I get this message when my Mophie Juicepack is depleted, recharge it and no problems. Till the next time it is drained of course. That might give you hint of the issue. If you tell use what device you might be using when you get that message, we might have a different suggestion.

My husband's new ipad is frozen. We can not slide to unlock or turn it off. A pop-up appears in center of screen that says "this ipad has not been backed up. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to the internet." Can someone tell us what to do. Holding the power buttons down did no good.

Got confused between your header question about a wired mouse and the main question about a wireless mouse. You said your magic mouse was frozen and added you do not have a wireless mouse. Problem is ... the magic mouse is wireless. The original mighty mouse was the corded version.
The wired mouse is a regular problem. After two to three years it tends to clog up. You can clean it (to a degree) as follows.
Using an alcohol moistened, not wet, cotton bud, scratch at the mouse ball for a minute or so. Then turn it upside down and on a clean piece of thick white paper or card on a firm surface, vigorously rub the mouse ball on the paper in a regular figure of eight. Do this for a minute or so and occasionally tap the mouse on the paper. This will help dislodge bits of fluff etc. Then try again -
I just bought a new iPad and the apps I had previously purchased are in the app store under Purchased. They appear with a little box that says "Open". There is no download cloud so I can't click on them to download the apps to my home screen. Is there a way to move these apps to my home screen?
If they have 'open' next to them then that implies that they are already on your iPad - if you tap on the 'open' button does that open the app ? If it does then they are on your iPad. You've checked all your homescreens and tried a soft-reset to see if they show after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You have to respond to the verification email that Apple should have sent you when you set up the iCloud account by clicking the Verify Now link. Make sure you are check the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
