My screen is too big. It cuts off pages. how do i fix it. I used ctrl and alt at the same time it did not fix it.
Like if i get on facebook i can only see haft of the page. i can not see any thing to the left or right of the page

I had trouble upgrading my iPad2 toiOS 5.1.I have had it for about 1 year. I had never upgraded it. I tried a few times but I kept getting a message that I would loose everything on my iPad if I did. I bit the bullet andfigured that I would restore it from the back up on my laptop. Some of the backup files were corrupted. I was unable to retore my exchange email or my notes from the noted app.
Today, my iPad shut off for no reason and I couldn't get it to turn on again, even though the battery was 70% charged. I had to press the on button and home button to get it to come back on.I'm not sure what problem you are experiancing but it would be well worth contacting apple.
If you have had it for less than one year it should be covered under warrenty

Since iOS6, whenever I send an iMessage to my wife, it sends the message to me too. How do I stop this? My wife and I share the same email address.
On at least one of the phones, go to Settings/ Messages/ Send & Receive and then tap the e-mail address to turn that option off. That should force the iMessage to be sent to the unique phone numbers of the phones, not the e-mail address that is common between the phones.
Or alternatively, create a new e-mail address for one of you and select that as the e-mail option to receive at on one of the phones instead of the shared e-mail. -

How can I combine a lot of text and images on the same screen? I can get a couple of words on the screen with a graphic but not 10 lines. I need 10 lines on the page with the image.

I routinely combine 10 lines of 36 pt bible or lecture text to a suitable background using Boris Title 3D.
Many times the text is too long to fit the screen using Boris, so I devide it into 2 or more parts with no transition between sections.
In my case, the text is on the screen as the speaker quotes them.

Within the last hour, I noticed that my older MacBook Pro, while I was using iTunes, lost contrast on the screen. I am sorry, but I did not take exact notes on this event. Around the same time, I did do a back up, uploaded Apple software, etc.
I'm using two MacPros simultaniously, the old one for iTunes, and the new one for the other things. My new one has no problems, so am wondering if there is an easy way to correct the older MacPro's contrast problems. The computer is over three years old, and I'm wondering also if this failure is an aging sign. (I also have other problems, such as a noisy DVD drive, which is part of the reason I bought a new MacBook Pro.)Is the older MBP a pre-Unibody model from early 2008? If so, you would be entitled to a free repair.
The lost contrast could be considered distorted video.
Do you have an external monitor? If the external shows the same lost contrast, the graphics chip is likely the culprit. If the external is OK, then you probably have an issue with the built in display or possibly with its connections.
You may also want to check in Universal Access to see if the contrast bar is set in its normal position (all the way to the left).
Apple has a special test they can run to diagnose the NVIDIA issue, so if you have access to an Apple Store, make an appointment at the genius bar to have it run.

Several of us have a iPhone 6plus and are having trouble with hearing and speaking at the same time when using the phone. ? The speakers seem to be too far apart? Are others having this issue? Solutions?

Since upgrading to ios7 my message screen is blank.I am neither able to seee,send or recieve messages. I upgraded my iPad at the same time but messaging works fine. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
I have been researching the exchange message loss problem on other forums, but not seen a link to browser as yet. The message loss problem we have here is in a 32bit PB.

I am trying to use my iPhoto pictures as my screen saver on my mac book air. Many of the pictures' heads are cut off. How do I get the pictures to fit the screen properly without the pictures be distorted?
Open the screen saver control panel. Right above the preview window there's a popup menu. You'll probably want to set it to "Fit to screen" so the pictures will be resized to show on the display.

Razor blade tool not cutting audio and video at the same time
Hiya,
When using the razor blade tool in a timeline, my razor only cuts the video track, or one audio track at a time. The audio and video were imported together.
I would like for the video and two audio tracks to be cut at the same time--so that when I'm cutting I don't have to click three times (VA1A2).
What needs changed to do this? Thank you!!!!
A little annoying -- but would be a time saver. Never had this problem before FCS2.

I am using AIM and so is the other person who i am trying to share my screen with. I log into AIM with an @aol.com account. I can request to share my screen and share the other person's screen. The window will pop up on the other computer, but after clicking accept it will go back to saying that there is a request for screen share. What should I do to fix this?

To be clear, iOS = iPhone and iPad and some iPod Touches and the Operating System they use.
Mac OS X = the Operating System Mac computers use.
Regarding the AOL account, is this actually from AOL and have the Chat/Messaging option enabled ?
Or is it a Name registered with the AIM part of AIM ?
You can have AOL as your ISP and have an email and User ID from them.
This needs to have the ability to use the name as a Chat name enabled (or at least it used to)
AIM, which actually stands for AOL Instant Messaging has it's own registration site.
Nowadays you register for a AIM email (although activating it for mail is another additional step).
It used to be that the bit before the @aim.com bit was the user name you used in Chat applications that could use AIM.
Previous to the current system you could in fact register just a Screen Name with them.
Apple (and a few US based ISPs) also have agreements with AIM that their (Apple, etc.) emails are recognised as Valid AIM Screen Names.
This means those issued by Apple ending in @mac.com, @me.com issued from the iCloud registration and @icloud.com.
(You do have to keep your password to 16 characters or less.)
From what you are saying you seem to be sure that you can see each other as On Line in your respective AIM Buddy lists ?
In Messages in both Mountain Lion and Mavericks you do not have to display the Buddy lists
(See the Window Menu plus the General Section of the Preferences to separate them)
Are you also saying that in the Video menu the option to allow Screen Shares is Enabled ?
Is it done at both ends ?
In iChat you could offer to Share your Screen with a Buddy without the option being On (they could not ask to share yours or offer theirs). I have not tested this in Messages.

Dual screening and clustering at the same time
i got a new imac 2010 and i want to know if i can cluster it with my old apple g4 imac and still be apple to use the screen.
A device can be connected to only one network at a time.
I will tell you what works for me.
Connect your TC to your modem. All you need to do is set up a dedicated n network on 5ghz freq (i used wpa2 wireless security) with with your TC and use that with all of your other n capable stuff like ATV, macbook air etc. Then connect your old AEBS using an ethernet cable to the ethernet AEBS connection to the TC ethernet. Then using Airport Utility find your AEBS, and set up a b/g network 2.4ghz freq (i used wep 128bit). While setting up the AEBS, click on the internet tab on the top and then go the bottom, where you will see connection sharing and select off (bridge mode). This will allow your AEBS to use the TC as a bridge to your cable modem. Now you have two wireless networks using one modem using essentially 2 base stations, TC and AEBS. My old AXs, old b/g imacs and iphone join the b/g network, and I can stream music from my n capable computer and old b/g imacs to my ATV and AX hooked to different stereos around my home. And log in to different music libraries and control the music from my iphone. My computer are all networked wirelessly. The higher encryption you use on the b/g network the slower it will be. Do not combine b/g/n network as it will be slow, and more so using any wireless security. Keep in mind you can also use an old AX instead of and old AEBS for the b/g network as well in bridge mode. Give different names for each network. Any neighbor on the same frequency using the same channel will interfere and slow your network done. There are cool widgets you can download that tell you what channels your neighbors are using and can select a different channel from them. It's complicated and takes patience, good luck. -
Using three monitors with screen spanning and mirror at the same time
I have a mac pro with two graphics cards and I currently have three monitors connected using screen spanning which works fine.
But I would like to change this so the desktop is spanned over two monitors and the third monitor is a mirror of one of the other two.

Only thing is you don't need to press the "?" button. But it seems a little temperamental when you option + click + drag. I found you to have to deselect but clicking anywhere in the window and reselected the window you wish to mirror (which I assume press the "?" does the same thing).
I never thought it was going to be this simple, I was sure I would need to install a third party app or something.

I'm not certain I know what you want to do, but consider these ideas:
(1) If you have seen a video of people doing it, the people who made the video surely know how. Ask them if you can.

(3) The easiest way I was able to record my screen and simultaneous video of me in a window in the top corner of my display was to use two webcams. I used QuickTimeX to make a screen recording while I used my built-in iSight to show me moving in my Photo Booth window on the display.

I've turned off both home sharing and turned off the link from my computer to my remote via AppleTV but when I hit play on my remote to control appleTV, my itunes always opens and starts playing on my Macbook Pro. Has this happened to ahyone else? I cannot get it to stop. The only solution right now is to completely turn off my computer if I want to use appleTV.

7.29.2013 - iPad2 begins to randomly open and close apps and also the screen changes from bigger to smaller repetitively when the apps are randomly opening and closing. Nothing occurred with the device to indicate why this started happening; it was not dropped, etc.
If still problem:
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
