My screen jumps using outlook and evernote

This is so irritating.
When I use Outlook/Hotmail web based. When I am going through my email, the screen jumps back to the top. It doesn't do this on any other websites that I am aware of.
Now, when I use Evernote the App, not through a browser, the screen will jump to the top of a note every time I hit enter. That is irritating when I have a note that takes up more space than a single screen can handle.
I don't know if these two issues are related or not, but I suspect that they are. This never happened when I used Snow Leopard.
Does anyone know what might be going on and how to fix it?

Safari on iOS 5 uses tabbed browsing, the thumbnail/pages browsing that was used on previous iOS versions isn't available in iOS 5. If you'd like to have the option of which version to use then you could try leaving feedback : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

Problems when using outlook and outlook express, cannot send more than app 100 KB.

Since app 6 weeks ago we have problems when sending pictures etc, we cannot send more than app 100KB. If we send more there is error code
Socket Error 10053, Error number 0x800CCC0F. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
I have made no changes to either computer. Restoring the laptop to Nov 2011 made no difference.We use Outlook Exlorer and Outlook.
When I take my laptop to my neighbors house, who has Time Warner, I can send 10MB files without any problems, using the EXACT same settings.
Spending over 2 hours with a very informed Verizon technician on the phone did nothing.
I first blamed our server, turns out the culprit is Verizon.
Any ideas?

Outlook is a mail client for PC's and Macs. There is no such thing as "Outlook" for iOS.

Good point. Actually, even the wireless sync can cause the problem. "Sync iCal Calendars" in the "Info" tab should be UNCHECKED.

If you zip probably the size would come less which may increase his performance a little. But I feel SAP also dont recommend this much load with PI.
If I am in his shoes then I will do a simple FTP without using PI itself. Else will look into other options. Thats my two cents.

Using outlook and entourage to back up??

I've read through a lot of documentation for the sync for Mac program and it seems to require entourage to sync the calendar and outlook to sync the address book? Btw, the last one makes no sense.
Is there anyway around this. Anyway to just sync normally to my computer? And by normally I mean without requiring me to have (PURCHASE) several other programs I do not use or want to use.
I'm about to get a new phone and I'm leaning toward a blackberry for several reasons, but if I can't back it up without spending money on programs I don't want on my computer, to back things up in what seems to be the most complicated process available, then, well, I'll just go to a different platform.
Can someone who has a blackberry and a mac and is syncing using this new software help me out with this? How complex is the backup process? How many programs does it involve? How much can I really get off my phone? And in how many different areas (programs) is it saved?

I personally use BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac, the backup process is very simple. It will backup every database on the BlackBerry onto your Mac. You can synchronize the following with Entourage, your calendar, contacts, memos and tasks.

Upon installing Thunderbird on my new computer (after using Outlook and hating it) I am missing at least one folder. How do find that folder?

I have a new computer. My IT support asked me to give Outlook email another chance. I did for a week and decided it's not to my liking. So I installed Thunderbird.
I did a search to find an email, and the search came back - 0 found. I knew this was wrong.
I then went to find the folder the email would have been stored in and found that folder is missing from my fold list.
I do see the folder on my old computer which is still alive, but it's not showing up on my new computer. These are not local folders but are listed in the University's email server.

Sounds like you have an imap mail account.
If you cannot see a folder which is on the server, then you need to subscribe to see it.
So first question is 'Have you subscribed to see it?'
If it is a subfolder, you will need to subscribe to see it as well as the higher tier folder it is in.

Need to remove icloud sync as use Outlook and have Android Phone

Just purchased iPad Air and whilst setting up iTues etc., it asked if I wanted to sync my calendar and contacts with what I had on my computer. I pressed yes which created an iCloud Calendar which consumed all my diarised events however, when I come to try to sync my HTC1 with calendar and contacts it can't read the outlook calendar anymore as the data is all contained seemingly as icloud default calendar. Need to revert back to how it was previously as need to be able to see my calendar on my phone as don't carry ipad with me at all times.
Please advise if/how this can be done

Ask your college. Most likely the same settings as you have set in Outlook.

Why can't I use Outlook 2013 with PSE 11 to share images in Windows 8.1?

In the PSE 11 tutorials under sharing images via email, it clearly lays out that Outlook and Outlook Express are email clients available to share images by email or photo mail. I'm using PSE 11 with Windows 8.1. When I go to edit>preferences>sharing and then drop down to select Outlook, there's no email clients there but Adobe Mail Service. I chatted with an Adobe rep who basically told me "sorry", you can't use Outlook. Yet that's one of the primary reasons I bought PSE 11...the sharing functionality using Outlook and Windows 8.1. What's with this?

Brian - Thanks. You were spot on. The PSE 11 sharing issue I described is on an Acer S7 laptop I bought over a year ago. At that time I separetely bought a version of Office from the Microsoft Store. Since the Windows 8.0 version installed on the Acer was 64 bit, I bought the 64 bit Office version. I never tried to share anything off PSE 11 from the Acer until just recently. And I was perplexed when I tried because of what I describe below
Fast forward to two months ago when I bought a Dell XPS 27 All-in-One for my wife. It came with Win 8 64 bit and I had Dell factory install Office as part of the deal. After I got the XPS 27 I separately installed a new version of PSE 11. Low and behold, the Office version Dell factory installed is 32 bit. They had more farsight than me. And PSE 11 shares fine on the XPS 27 using Outlook.
So thanks again. You solved the riddle for me, at least with respect to my wife's desktop. On my Acer laptop, I can't get the share function to work with either Adobe Mail service or Windows Live Mail. Those are the only two clients that appear in the drop down but neither will work. Not sure what that's all about. But having PSE share seemlessly through Outlook on my wife's machine was the priority for me right now.

I use Gmail but I'm more familiar with Outlook format. If I use Outlook it moves my messages to the C drive. I need to access all messages from other computers.

--I have problems with the way G-mail works for typing messages. I am accustomed to using Outlook at work and when I type in G-mail, sometimes the message is sent before I finish due to me using the enter and tab buttons.
--I tried using Outlook and configuring G-mail to automatically move messages to Outlook but when I do this, all messages I open are stored on the " C " drive of the computer I am using.

hello Jim, this is a subject where we in firefox support cannot provide particular help. it's not a problem related to firefox and out of the scope of this forum. just as a general pointer: if you want your emails to be accessible in outlook and on webmail as well, you'll want to set up your account as IMAP-account, for more details and further help please contact gmail's support at https://support.google.com/mail.

JPG's saved using Photoshop and emailed to mobile phones will not open

I am using CS5 on a Mac OSX.
I am pretty proficient with Photoshop and have been using this version for several years. This may not be a new situation, I may just have discovered it.
I have emailed from Outlook to two different iPhone (both 5's) and an Android phone. I don't know what the message was on the Android but on the iPhone it starts downloading then displays a greyed out box labeled "mime-attachment".
I have tried changing the file size. I have tried 8 and 16 bit settings.
There isn't any problem opening the files on notebooks and desktop computers.
If I import the file into iPhoto (a Mac program for managing and editing photos) and then resave it, the jpgs email perfectly.
Any ideas?

Thank Imransim, looking at the mime threat it gave me an idea to try another approach. I tried sending the files using Hotmail and they emailed and were received perfectly.
Conclusion is that the problem is Outlook on my Mac. I will get someone else to use Outlook and send a file saved in Photoshop to my mobile and will report back.
