My screen moves around and I can't see the dock and the top use bar at the same time. Help, please.
I have an iBook G4. The images on the screen "fall off" the top and/or bottom. That is, I can't see the dock and top user bar at the same time.
The computer seems to automatically move the screen around as I use the cursor. I don't know how to fix the image so it just fits the boundaries of the screen. OS10.4.11. Thanks for any help you can give.
It sounds like maybe you've unintentionally activated the Zoom feature.
Try going to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing, and make sure that Zoom is turned off.

i am not getting notification on most of my apps, e.g twitter and facebook...except i go to the app and refreshed manually. its an iphone 4 and running on ios5...i have gone through everything and its still the same..help please........
I seem to be having the same problem on my brand new iPhone 4S. Everything was working fine on the phone until I updated to iOS 5.1.1, but now I no longer receive push notifications for the native Mail app, Instagram, or the Facebook app. I still seem to be receiving SMS texts and iMessages via push, but the aforementioned apps need to be opened before I can receive missed notifications (having them open in the background seems to make no difference).

Well, after another call with Apple support and the engineers, no success. After spending over 20 hours trying to debug this, I give up. Apple was basically fishing for a solution with trial-and-error settings on the iphone. Then they wanted me to plug in software to log my iphone connections to the router, etc, etc., etc., at which point I decided I no longer wanted to participate in their testing process and will simply return the router.
25 hours of my life I'll never get back.
Big bummer, and frustrating for all the obvious reasons. -

There are a couple of ways that you can download your apps to iTunes on your computer.
First, you can transfer your purchases to from your iPhone to your computer using the steps in this article:

CSM route mode and bridge mode can exist at the same time?
I'm using CSM on ver 4.x,and I used to the bridge mode for firewall load balance,for a new requset,I have to create a new server/client vlan,but the original firewall load balance was effected when I issued the server vlan command,and I'd like to use route mode for the new server farm,I'm wondering that route mode and brige mode can't exist at the same time,because it seems it doesn't make sense.Any reply will be very appreciated.
you can use bridge mode and route mode at the same time.
Traffic with desintation mac address being the CSM will be routed, otherwise it will be bridged.

Mac Mini can't see the same wireless networks as a Aluminum 24" Imac ....
I have a question for ya'll. Is there any reason why my new Mac mini 2.0g system can't see the wireless networks that my Imac can?
What I mean, is that I can see two Networks with my Imac:
1. Mine
2. Other networks around me.
On the Mini, using 10.4 or 10.5 My mini can only see my wireless network. Which is only 1 foot away from the mini (and Imac).
It has been suggested to me that my antenna is bad ... Are there ways to test this? Or is it just inherit for the mini?The Mini has a much smaller antenna (the size of a larger postage stamp) -- and it is located in the back upper right corner, as you face the mini from the front.
The antenna is less capable than the larger antenna in the iMac, and it is more easily blocked. Make sure nothing is between it and your wifi router. -
How can I see the elapsed time on imported video?
I'm trying to make a video in iMovie 11'. I would like to be able to view the elapsing time of the song I imported so I can match video footage with audio. With the older version of iMovie, I could see a time clock on the bottom of the video I was importing, so I could match the mouth to the lyrics.
In the older iMovie version, the entire audio would play when only part of the clips had been imported by me. Now with this version, the song stops playing when the clips stop. So partial completion of the video, doesn't allow a full time clock of the total song to allow me to match the voice on the audio with the film of someone singing.
In short, I can't find the running time clock for the video player in the project library.
Can you help me with thsi? The help menu has not anweered my questions.

Dave DemoiseI agree with Bengt W. There are many reasons, even in a simple movie, to want to know the timing of things. This is a surprisingly frustrating product. For want of timing information, you are requiring your users to pay $300?
In my situation, I took some video of a show (with the performers permission) with an iPad and an iPod. All I want to do is make a movie with one video as the main position with a series of cutaway clips from the other. It is incredibly frustrating to do this without knowing where you are within each clip.
When helpful and capable forum participants like we have here have to spend time explaining how best to make do with a product, it's a clear indication of a fault with the product. Now, I either have to spend extra time in iMovie making due with this crippled interface, or I have to spend time looking for an alternative product.
Consider this a feature request! -
Help! I just got this Lion, and SO many changes & not necessarily for the better !
I went to the Apple icon, but "Software Updates" did not show ... though I had deferred installing some updates ...
Finally it showed up, I clicked on it, saw the updates to do - BUT when I clicked on install - the "box" that usually shows the updates & how long to install - just disappeared! I can't get to it to see what's next. (I have to leave soon & will turn off the mac)
What's happening? How come I can't see the updates as they are installed, & how much time it will take?
How do I know IF they have been installed? Is this the "new Normal" for Lion? Or is there a glitch in my mac somewhere?
How about updates you download from Apple (not bought) - they go to Downloads on the Sideboard, but are they installed automatically, & put where they belong too? Is there no more restart, etc.?
- I just went to Systems Preference, to see the "Installed Software" - shows they were ... but don't I have to restart anymore? Are all updates now automatically placed where they belong?

3 People Can't see the same messages in a Shared Mailbox
Three of us at work monitor our Boss' shared mailbox (demanding VIP). We all have the same permissions.
It has become insanely common that collectively we do not see the same "Inbox" messages for our boss.
Generally we see the bulk of the email.
On increasingly frequent ocassions: A & B see message X (C doesn't see it in the INBOX)
or A & C have message Y (B Doesn't see)
or B &C see message Z (A doesn't see)
Collectively A has - X & Y
B has - X & Z
C has - Y & Z
The content is all there but someone always seems to be left out.
It is really leading to some confusing conversations and mismanagement of activities in our office. Especially when the Boss asks C (the only person left at work) why the boss didn't get something about message X (of which C cannot see).
How do we fix this?
Summed up: A shared mailbox with equal permissions is not displaying the inbox equally across those it is shared with.
Filters are turned off/not active or otherwise not part of this problem.Hi,
Does the issue only happen on the Boss’ shared mailbox? How about other shared mailbox? Also confirm whether the issue occurs in OWA view.
Please try to remove all share permissions on Boss mailbox and re-add one user to check whether the user can view all emails in shared mailbox. If there is any Event log, it would be helpful to post it here.

Nyt times photo blog says latest FP version needed. I have it but can't see the pictures. HELP
I am running vista home premium and I use both internet explorer and firefox. The NYT website photo blog is called LENS and I have always been able to use it. A week or two ago I was told that I needed the latest version of flash drive to view photos. I went to the download site. got the software and loaded it. My list of program now shows Version 10 active x with flash plugins but can't see the photos. Appreciate any help

IPad mini screen has went almost black can't see the screen
iPad mini was working great then all of a sudden the screen went black , tried to reset and the apple logo appeared then the screen went black . Can take screen shots and when I access Siri it says please connect to the internet but the screen is still black . When I now try to reset the screen is constant black and can just about make out the apple logo in certain light . I have tried a full reset using iTunes but still the black screen - any suggestions ?? The LCD screen had just been replaced 1 week ago and worked great

It could still be a hardware problem somewhere on the iPad. If you have restored the device, there is nothing more that you can do software-wise. I would take it to an Apple Store and ask them to take a look at it or go back to the repair center and see if they can correctly diagnose the problem.
