My screen resolution is distorted when I go to record a video recording in Adobe Presenter?

How can I stop this from happening, or not happening so much. i am on a dual monitor set up, if that makes any difference.

The application automatically resizes your monitor to either 640 X 480 (SD) or 1280 X 720 (HD). This may make the image on your monitor appear distorted if the monitor stretches the image to fit the screen. You can verify that the image is or is not distorted in the recording after the capture is made.

I recently updated to iTunes 11 on my Windows PC. Since the update, each time I open iTunes its window is too large for my screen. Resizing it is a pain, because I have to change my screen resolution. And then when I restart iTunes, it has reverted back to being too large. Please help!

Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it.  It will now fit the screen.  Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes.  The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds.  Apple should fix this.  Should.

  • My screen resolution becomes small when I play any game

    Hi,
I own a Toshiba Satellite M30X-113 with a atim mobility radeon 9700 graphics card. Lately, when I have been playing games, the screen resolution has shrunk ,and its become small. I try changing it from the menu (video options) but its still has no effect. I then used windows display mode to change, but that too had no effect. I used to use 32-bit setting on 1024x768, but it also keeps jumping back to 1280 resolution. Why is this happening? Is there any way to change it back to the way it was.

    Hi
I agree with audigex. The games internal resolution has nothing to do with the computer display resolution. Usually you can change the resolution in the game settings.
I cant give you a proper answer why it has changed but Im sure the game settings are responsible for this issue.

  • Preventing screen resolution settings changing when connecting a beamer

I do a lot of presentations and every time I connect a beamer (not my own, one that is in the hotel or conference room, so different models every time) my MBP screen settings go often haywire.
My screen resolution on the MBP 15' (OS SL) is set at 1680x1050 (high resolution screen).
As said it does not hold as soon as I connect a beamer and at times the setting is not even available any more, at other times all of a sudden I have dozens more settings, etc. This is of course, to say the least, annoying, and sometimes I spend 10 or more minutes to get my screen to behave in a workable fashion.
Result is that my resolution on my screen become unworkable as (mostly) it defaults to real big resolution (and as such big script) that makes lots of items on the top bar 'invisible' (they fall of the screen).
Is there any trick to prevent this from happening?
    Thanks.

How is this remotely the same problem? The original poster is having resolution problems with projectors. You have an LCD tablet that isn't showing an image. This is thread hijacking, however much you don't want it to be. You need to go start your own topic for this.
Excuse you, it's the same problem because my Cintiq has a problem taking in the screen resolution, which is why I'm not getting it to display properly. I explained it before, so if you can't read it, then that's your problem, and not mine. Even if you think it's a different problem, you don't have to be so rude to me. I'm not hijacking the thread, I'm just saying that I think it's a OS issue, and I don't see the point in making another one if I'm going to get a response along the lines of how there's already another thread that's similar.
And now, I might add, you've officially completely derailed this conversation. Because instead of it being about the OP's problem, you've made it an attack on my character, which I consider an attempt to start drama. If you consider my post to be insignificant, then you could have just as easily ignored it. You've not only wasted my time for hoping someone would at least give me an answer, but you've wasted your own for hardly contributing to the conversation in a positive manner.
    Get off your high horse.

  • How do you export a Premiere Pro screen shot without distortion when importing into Photoshop?

How can I take a screen shot in Premiere Pro (CS6 or CC) without it becoming distorted? Lately, when doing this, the images are elongated. Then, when I bring the image into Photoshop, it looks fine, except that the Pixel Aspect Ratio has been automatically engaged. I seem to not be able to do anything to the image to correct it and when saved, it goes back to its distorted form. What am I doing incorrectly? What is the fix for this? Is this a Premiere issue or a Photoshop issue? BTW, I posed the same question on the Photoshop forum. SIDE NOTE: I tried to resolve this via a chat session...that was an exercise in futility.
    Thanks!

The MTS files that I imported into my project are 1080i 29.97 fps, upper field first, 1.0 pixel aspect ratio.
I tried encoding an AVI with the Lagarith codec with these settings and had better results this time but the frame rate still stuttered.
I even tried making an MOV with the H.264 setting and had strange results.
I can make an H.264 MP4 at 1920x1080 with no problem.
What are the exact settings for an MOV or AVI just in case I missed something?  I really want to have an uncompressed file to archive that can be easily edited later on.  I'm thinking that MOV would be the most flexible format.

I love my new iMac, but can't stand the fact that I allways have to change resolutions after rebooting the thing, ughh.. I Use the highest resolution, my girlfriend uses a lower one. When I reboot all accounts default to the high resolution, that's frustrating!!

  • When I open Firefox my screen resolution changes and when I fix it on the computer it auto changes back in 10 seconds. I looked at the compatibility and nothing is checked. This started out of nowhere.

I have used FF for about a year on my Dell Inspiron 15 and now every time I open it the resolution changes on me. If I close FF everything goes back to normal resolution. No problems with other browsers just FF. I went into the properties and tried to fix the compatibility but nothing was checked. I checked for any new updates that happened automatically but there haven't been any for days before this started. I have all my Grad school bookmarks on FF and I don't want to uninstall.

This can be a problem with the localstore.rdf file.

Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.<br />
Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

I downloaded some free videos from iTunes and when I tried playing them I got a status bar that showed them running but there was no picture and no sound. All of my software is up to date so what is the problem?

Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.

  • NB200-10G Screen resolution problem

    Hi,
My new NB200 does not display the toolbar when booted. It is there, I think, because if I click wildly below the visible screen there is sometimes a reaction. This seems like a screen resolution issue. When the system boots, the windows theme is distorted, as if the resolution was for a bigger screen. I have tried every combination of screen resolution but it doesn't solve it.
Please help; this is totally destroying my pleasure at owning this new machine!
    Many thanks
    Satis

    Hi,
I have a new NB200 and exactly the same thing has occurred: The NB200 booted up correctly (POST test BIOS screen OK), but when the display switched to Windows, the login dialog box was shifted down: From there on in, the task bar was not visible (but worked when pressing the windows hot key) and the desktop items were re-sorted. The Auto hide taskbar feature is disabled.
Rebooting the PC (Power down & restart) fixes the display problem about 50% of the time.
    Did anyone resolve this issue?
    Thanks - Richard.

  • Screen Resolutions in OSX 10.8

Maybe someone can help, but if not - Apple, please sort this out, I've read complaints all over the net going back years...
Screen Resolutions. This isn't difficult Apple. The video card in my 2008 Mac Pro (a geforce somethignorother) can display all manner of resolutions - pretty much anything under 25**x1*** (whatever that res is) is supported. I know this because nvidia state as much on their website, and also because every single video card since the beginning of time (which, for me and computers, was circa 1996) can do it.
So why, when I connect a 24" Acer LCD screen (with a native resolution of 1920x1200) via VGA (vga because it's what I've got running under the floor) do the video resolution options in OSX only include 4:3 and 16:9 formats? I don't want 1920x1080. It's pathetic. My 2006 mac pro running 10.5 has no such problem. This 2008 Mac pro had no such problem while running 10.6 a few years ago.
Here's another example. After giving up with the 24" Acer (being advised to BUY a bit of software to access a resolution is ridiculous), I plugged in my 32" Sony LCD screen, again via VGA. This was interesting. Sony on their website stated that 1360x768 was the highest resolution accessable via VGA, despite the TV supporting 1920x1080 via digital inputs. As soon as OSX detects the TV then surely, 1360x768 is the highest offered resolution. But, if I boot the computer without the TV being on, then switch the TV on, I can set it to 1920x1080, and all is well. Work that one out Sony. A combination of Sony trying to limit their cheap tvs, and Apple interfering.
Anyway, my basic argument and complaint is this: I hate little more than computers that think they're smarter than the user. Even if we disgard the Sony example (which is doubtless a line of code written in the TV, rather than a technical limitation (as I own the 37" version of the TV, and it works at 1080p via VGA no probs - doubt they've engineered two different VGA circuits...)) - there is no excuse for OSX wrongly detecting a screen and displaying incorrect resolutions. Have an idiot mode by all means, but let me adjust the resolution beyond that. Give me access to all resolutions at all times.

Apple doesn't routinely monitor these discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Screen Resolution S1

I can't see that well so I need to lower the screen resolution on S1. When I go to Display Settings I get the resolution 1920 x 1080 as the recommended one. I can now change the resolution to the lower ones, but sadly the lower resolution options corresponding to 1920 x 1080 screen are not available.
These options would correspond to the 1920:1080 aspect ration:
    1600 x 900 - Available
    1366 x 768 - Available
    1280 x 720 - NOT Available
    1024 x 576 - NOT Available
Is there any reason for that?

  • Screen Resolution for ALL monitors

IN FLASH MX, I set my screen resolution to 760px (width) x
560px (height). My monitor screen resolution is 1152x864. It looks
fine at that monitor screen resolution. HOWEVER, the website looks
h-u-g-e on monitor screen resolution 1024x768. It looks elongated
    on monitor screen resolution 1280x768.
So I am wondering what is the best screen resolution to set
when in Flash? that will look good on all monitor screen
    resolutions?
    [email protected]

I have four files that show my settings plus another file
that shows the code that comes automatically. Not sure how to
attach the files with this reply.
My monitor setting is 1152x864. My movie setting is 760x560.
I am not sure what you mean by embedding in HTML. I thought
    that came automatically.
My movie might be 760x560 but on a monitor screen 1024x768,
my site is huge because the screen is smaller. And on a monitor
screen 1280x768, my site becomes elongated.
I am working solely in Flash, no Dreamweaver. I thought the
    target to HTML is automatic.
I need to solve the situation of being huge on 1024x768 and
the situation of becoming elongated on 1280x768.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.
    Thanks!
    Dana

Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?

  • Using Mini DisplayPort to VGA, screen resolution distorts.  How do I fix?

When I use my Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter, the resolution gets too big for my screen (mbpro 15") and the same thing appears on the projector I use. I'm not sure if I should change my screen resolution while I use the projector or what?
Also, the first (and only) time I used it, it seemed as if the signal wouldn't even send. After a while of fiddling around, the screen finally showed up on the projector (distorted) but we didn't do anything different to change that. It just kind of did it on it's own. Is this common for "first uses" or will this happen every time?
I plan on using this again Friday.
