My screen struggles to load each window.
If I have more than 1 programe open, then I get black boxes all over the screen. If I minimise, then bits of the window get left on the desktop. I have to restart it every day, sometimes more often which helps for a while. It's a 6 year old 24" running OS X Snowleopard - vs 10.6.8. What might be going wrong? Ta, Sue.
Well Mac SA took it away for 2 whole weeks less than 6 months ago and tested EVERYTHING, so I guess they had it in bits then. The verdict was 'nothing wrong' with the hardware, but I can see there's still a problem! And yes, it's been cleaned several times over the years, but thanks for the thought.
I have had trouble with my graphics card on more than one PC before, and wondered if the Mac could be having the same problem?
I'm sorry to say I have to use Disc Utility at least once a week to 'repair' when the whole thing falls over too.
So you think it might be software? Mac SA has also wiped the whole thing clean and reloaded everthing more than once in the last 6 months. The programmes seem fairly stable (compared to PC anyway) but still the problem with viewing windows!

I've had my iPad (retina display) since last year. Over the last few weeks the App Store struggles to load on occasion and times out completely. When searches do rarely complete, the App Store closes down and returns my iPad to the home screen and, when I open the App Store again, it has just reset the store, forcing it to load all over again. I've tried closing all running background applications, with no difference being made. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the App Store app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Re-launch the app and test

Each window that I open stays open on the screen. How can I get rid of this "tiling"?
On an iMac G4 with OS 10.4.11, recently each window I open stays on the screen when I open files within them. This creates what I think is called "tiling." I must have given an erroneous command, and I don't know how to get rid of it. I hope someone can help.
Are you referring to Finder windows? Those are akin to Explorer windows on a PC.
If so, it is normal for them to stay open on the desktop when you open a file they display. If you mean they open a new window and clutter the desktop with tons of open windows, there is a fix for that.
Click once on the desktop so you are using Finder. On the top left, click "Finder - Preferences" Uncheck the box next to "Always open folders in a new window"
The change is immediate.

So hardware wise this setup has not changed in over 8 months. However tonight I restarted (first sound cut out so i decided to reboot). Lo and behold on the reboot, it will flash the MSI splash screen and allow me into the bios but when I go to boot it will not show the windows loading screen. It sends me to an active (my monitor doesn't go into standby) black blank screen (no text or error msg) and won't respond to any keys.
Anyone else ever have similar issues?

VerikI appreciate it guys. I did a little more digging around the internet and found it was most likely due to a corrupted MBR. The fix usually involves booting from a win xp disc and typing in the command "fixmbr" in the recovery program. However I inserted my win xp disc and it simply went black..... then loaded up windows just fine. Pulled the disc out, did a normal restart and it seems to have solved itself.... At this point I'm not sure entirely what it did but I'm just being thankful its working haha.

Qosmio F - Unable to load into Windows or anything
Yesterday, while studying other day outside another student bumped the table I was studying on. I would say "tapped" as it was not that hard. The normal message appears where it says the laptop will move the harddrive to a safe location etc.
Shortly after maybe 10-20mins, I get a message on the laptop screen asking me to "backup the laptop" as there was some major error or failure. I clicked on the "additional information" and it basically said all my drives C:, G: and whatever I had disk failure or something. Unable to backup the laptop as I did not have CD's present to back it up with I took it home to do i today.
The laptop is refusing to even load into windows at the moment. Unable to back up or anything. Keeps loading into options about system repair, restore, memory diagnostics etc. nothing fixes it.
I've only purchased the laptop since oct/nov of 2010. Didnt start using it till jan/feb of this year also. Should I attempt to open up the HDD as it might have loosen out at the back or? Should I send it back to manufacturer to look at? It's critical exam time for me and this is devastating! Also flying overseas late June after exams and wishing to take the laptop over there. Your posting is a little bit hard to understand and a screenshot of this error message would be useful but if you get an message about defective HDD and all partitions you should contact an authorized service provider in your country.
Your notebook should be still under warranty so the guys can replace the HDD for free. If you need some important data you can ask if they can rescue some files and do a backup. Alternative you can try it yourself if you buy an external HDD case for example. Then you can connect the HDD via USB to another computer. -
Itunes 10 will not load on windows 7 64 bit. Error code 2324. Old Itunes is gone or not working. Cannot play anything although files are still there. What the ??? is error 2324. Seems like alot of people ar ehaving the same problem

How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.
Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.

can somebody please help me fix this issue, i have been sitting at my computer all last night and this morning trying to figure it out. It could be the hardrive or anything really i just need to get it working. Alot of important things that need to be done using this computer and i am freaking out.
My computer suddenly decides not to work and turns on but does not go past the grey apple screen with the loading wheel.. it will not go to my desktop. What should i do?Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead. -

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Parameter tag flashes on screen on page load
Can someone please point me in the right direction to solve this problem.
I'm using a spry to load data from a static xml document. The idea is that an end user can update their own site by changing the xml. Everything works fine, but when you click on the menu option for the first time the parameters (e.g. {name} ) flashes on the sceen for a second or so before it's read from the xml and populated with data. This makes the site look tacty. How do I prevent this parameter from flashing on the screen durning page load? I assume this is a common issue but haven't been able to find a solution anywhere.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Safari always loads small window size It leaves a wide margin on both side of the window. I have to always increase size press AA several times. How can I have it bigger by default ?

This is not what I mean. I'm not a new user of computers. Even when the window fills the screen. There are wide boarders either side, have to press the AA serveral times to increase web page (in the tool bar top left) so that the web page fits the window. -
Edge Code CC won't load, blank window
I've just downloaded Edge Code via Creative cloud, but when I open up the application the only thing I get is a blank white window titled index.html.
I cant type in it, I don't get any toolbars or menus or anything. Not even the "about Edge Code" From the "Edge Code" menu shows anything.
What can I do?
I have a 2,6 Ghz Intel Core i7 MacBook Pro Retina
16 GB RAM (1600 Mhz DDR3)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
OS X 10.8.4I used Comodo. But I can't remember the steps I'm afraid. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

When I start the CC app on my PC (Windows 7, 64 bit), the home screen won't load. The activity indicator just sits there and spins. It worked before, but not for the last few days. The other screens work just fine. Any ideas?
