when i was using my ipad it turned black and wont turn back on, i tried to charge it and plugged it in to my compter but wont turn on.

Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Does the Vibrate/Mute switch make the iPhone vibrate? Does iTunes on computer recognize the iPhone? If not, then possibly the battery is faulty or worse. If yes, then the LCD Display is not working, possibly the connector came loose and simply needs to be pressed down to the logic board. Of the LCD Display is faulty and the front screen assembly needs to be replaced. Or worse. If there is Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, Replacement iPhone is $199 or battery is $80 with Apple.

Is the battery completely discharged? If charge it with the charger for at least an hour then try again.
Is it not an empty battery: try this: holding the Power button and Home button at the same time, keep holding, when you see the wihite apple logo let go and let it start.

I thought my iPhone 3g was turning off and not turning back on, later I receive usage warnings when I wasn't using my iPhone. when this first happened, I could restart it only by rebooting. The iPhone eventually( in a matter of days) wouldn't reboot, so my son said drop it on the carpet floor. I did, then successfully rebooted the iPhone only to have it randomly repeat the blackout minutes later. rarely does it stay on for any length of time unless it is in use.

Answer:- Just disconnect your phone from the computer. keep Itunes open on the PC. While holding the home button of the iphone plug the phone back in. Itunes will pop a message stating it has detected a phone in recovery mode. just follow the on screen instruction then to restore your phone. If your issue is still not resolved only an Apple technician can help you

The Genuis' first said a software glitch did something that did NOT fix it. Gave me a 2nd new phone within one week......still doing the same thing.

Ipad Screen went black and wont turn on

My wife was using my Ipad this morning, I have had it for about 2 weeks got it as a Christmas present. She was on Facebook and the screen just went black. Hitting the home key or the power key to turn it back on and nothing happened.
Any thoughts?

Thinking that all of the apps displayed in that tray are open and running is a common misconception. Have you tried a reset? Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time for up to 20 seconds. Hopefully the Silver Apple will display, which will mean the phone is resetting (no data will be lost). As soon as the Silver Apple appears, release the buttons, and wait until the Home screen comes back on.
You should be OK after that.

In another thread, someone suggested you hold down both the on/off button and the home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Then phone will automatically reboot. It worked for me. On caution...you need to hold those buttons down concurrently for a fairly long time--probably about 20-30 seconds. Don't give up on it early.

FIRST charge with an Apple charger for at least 15 minutes. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold for up to 30 seconds. If nothing happens the phone hardware has failed.
