My screen won't turn on even though i recieve calls, can charge it...

It seems kinda weird but things happened this way:
I bought my iphone5c 3 days ago and everything seemed right. Today I was playing some ****** game on it when i suddenly decided to lock it and keep it in my pocket since i was in school. I did. When i tried using it again, the screen won't turn on. The thing is: everytime I try changing it from loud to silent and viceversa, it does vibrate. I called my number from another phone and it does ring and vibrate, but the screen won't turn on. I connected it to the computer and to the charger, and both make that little sound when they're connected to something. The screen didn't turn on in any of those actions...
As i told you, my phone is 3 days old. Hasn't been ever hit, exposed to water or anything like that...
What the **** can I do? I feel kinda betrayed with Apple, since i bought this device 3 days ago.
Someone help me !!!

i have tried this and nothing happens. did my phone turn into a brick in my hand this morning? it was working fine and the screen turned funny colors and faded to black and havent got anything but a apple logo once since. i have tried everything i could find on the support site to no avail. i did get a screen with a picture of a cord, and arrow to the itunes logo. but it will not connect to itunes. please help!!

  • My iMac won't turn on, even though it turned on at the store...

I have a 24" iMac (white), that I bought around 2008. I haven't had any issues with it until recently. It's been really finnicky. At times it would just not turn on, and after waiting patiently for a day or so, it would then turn on. Being too busy to take it in, I ignored the issue. This was a few months ago.
I recently moved, and I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't. I ignored it for a week and it still wouldn't turn on. I had my brother take it in to see what was wrong and it apparently turned on at the store. I was told that there was nothing actually damaged and it's probably due to me leaving it on sleep mode for extended periods of time and that if it happens again to just leave it unplugged for 24hrs and then try again.
A week later, my brother brought it back and I had it set back up and yet, IT STILL WON'T TURN ON.
It hasn't left the box since it left the Apple store.
I know nothing is wrong with the outlet, because I've plugged other things into it without issue.
    Any ideas?

    Reset the SMC:
    Shut down the computer.
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
If that doesn't do anything, you can reset the PRAM, however, that really shouldn't affect power on:
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Vision M - 30 GB, won't turn on even though it's fully char

When I hook up my mp3 player to my pc via usb it tells me that the battery is really low (red single line in bar is displayed on the top right hand side), I had it connect for a half hour and there was no change in charge status.
Thinking it may have been the wire or something I tried the wall charger. When I hooked it up to the wall charger the player indicates that it's fully charged (full green bar with an icon in the middle of the green).
So I'm not sure what the deal is... but now it won't turn on. When I try there is a quick flash of blue where the switch is but other than that no activity from my Vision M.
    Help please?

hello to everyone, i seem to have a similar problem.. - bought my zen vision: m 5 months ago- used it for 4 months perfectly- then havent touched it for a month- when i took it back, the battery was empty, so tried to charge it all day long throuh my pc with a usb cable- it blinked all day long blue, and the batter icon indicated a blinking flash which meant it was being charged- but somehow the battery icon always stood red, and immediatley went off when i detached it from the cable- is the battery dead is it so cheap what can i do, please help me best regards, goktug / t rkiye / istanbul

  • Sometimes my iPod shuffle (4th gen) won't turn on. Though the battery is fully charged. I usually connect my iPod to the mac so it will turn on. Why is that?

If i not use my ipod for a times, it will turn off automatically and won't turn on. Please give the answer. My ipod is new.

    - Connect the iPod to your computer and try to make a backup
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    - Next reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
and try making a backup again. If you can't then there is no way of getting the info off the iPod unless data recovery company can do it. Not cheap.
    - If photos are in an existing iPod backup (iTune>Preferences>Devices  for iTunes backup or an iCloud backu) then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:
    iOS: How to back up
    - If you used PhotoStream then try getting them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

  • Display won't turn on even though my Macbook Pro detects the display

I've had a long running issue with this but now rather than intermittantly, it just won't work at all. I have a 17" Mackbook Pro running Lion and an older style aluminium 23-24" cinema display (the boxy one). The problem also exited under snow leopard. I used to arrive home, pull my MBP out of my bag, place it on a stand, plug the power, USB for my keyboard and mouse and display cable (inculing the USB and firewire) and hit the keyboard and my display turned on and off I went. But now when I try to do that, I get the light on the display flash once and then the display appears to be dead. I'll go into detect displays and it's there and detected but I can't for the life of me figure out why I get no response from my monitor other than one flash from the little power light. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is there a fix or is it a hardware problem? I've zapped the PRAM and done an SMC reset. No dice.

This is a long-standing problem we've all been waiting on a fix from.  I was rooting for the EFI update this morning to fix it, but no love.
I have a MBP 15" early 2011, with a 27" Cinema Display (the last pre-Thunderbolt one)... and periodically, when returning from somewhere and plugging the Mac back in, it acts like it's seeing the monitor, but just doesn't display.
I've found, after a year of this, that the following all helps:
    1) leaving nothing else plugged in while first plugging in the display.  Don't hook up the power or USB, don't have anything plugged into the USB hub on the back of the monitor, or it won't ever detect.
    2) Just keep trying... leave the MBP open, plug in the display port and nothing else... if the big monitor doesn't turn on, but the MBP display flips to "I'm an extra display" mode, unplug, wait for it to go back to "MBP is solo display" mode, then repeat... eventually, for me at least, the big monitor will turn on for real, then I can close the MBP and all is well.
This is sucky, but it does eventually get the 27" to show something.
The other symptoms are all the same... when it's doing this, the computer thinks it's displaying to the 27", USB and power are being sent to the MBP just fine, audio's working... just nothing is actually on the display.
Oh, and for me, it also does it sometimes when the 27" goes to sleep, so I have the syspref set to "never sleep"... it goes black from the screen saver, but never turns off, 'cause then it's iffy if it'll come back on.
I'd LOVE for them to eventually fix this... it's something in either the MBP firmware, the monitor firmware, or just something wrong with one or the other that isn't fixable... but it'd be nice to know.
In the meantime, I rarely use my MBP as anything other than a desktop nowadays, so I leave it plugged in, don't let the monitor sleep, and all is well.

  • Screen saver keeps turning on even though I have it set to Never

In System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver, I have "Start screen saver" set to Never. However, my screen saver seems to keep turning on after around 15 minutes! I think this only started happening when I upgraded to 10.4.3. Does anyone know why this happens?

No, the actual screen saver comes on (flurry). I do have the energy preference set to turn the screen off after 30 minutes. This works properly. The screen saver comes on after about 15 minutes, then the screen goes black after about 30 minutes. I have the screen saver set to Never come on though.

  • My MacBook pro won't turn on, even though it's fully charged. I can hear a disk chime but nothing on the display. Help?

I'm having an issue with turning my MacBook pro on. It's fully charged and when I press the power button I hear a disk chime but nothing happens on the display. Can anyone help please?

Tried connecting the cable?  Still won't start?
If you are still under warranty and/or have AC, call them & let them deal w/it.
OOW:  Take the MBP to your local AS or an AASP.  Diagnostic testing is FREE!

  • MacBook won't turn on even though fully charged

i have a 13inch MacBook pro that I bought in September 2011. It has been on my desk for a couple of days whilst I was away and when I came to turn it on it wouldn't. I have fully charged it (the lights on the side say so anyway) and the charger seems to be working. the sleep light at the front is flashing once every now and then, I've also tried a different plug adapter for my charger and tried a few different sockets in my house.
Any help or suggestions would be great! I rely on my MacBook to do my illustrations so it's important! Thanks

So did resetting the SMC as griff w suggested help?
"the sleep light at the front is flashing once every now and then"
That's probably an SMC issue. Try forcing it to shut down. Hold the power button down for 15 seconds until you hear the computer shut down. Then reset SMC and restart.

  • My iPhone had charge but turned off and won't turn on even when it is in the charger

My iphone 4 turned off still with charge, I have tried to charge and connect to I tunes and nothing is happening HELP

    Hello Samoens,
I would be concerned too if my iPhone wasn't powering on.  I found some steps you can take to address issues like this:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • My ipod touch 4g won't turn on, even when connected and I can't find the serial number for support.  What do I do?

I  can't turn on my ipod or do anything with it.  It's refurbished and I can't find the serial number so I don't know what to do.  ANy suggestions?  Thank you

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
