My screens went black during ML installation - what to do?

Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade from Snow Leopard to ML on my MacPro right now but my screens just went black half an hour ago and nothing happens.
What should I do?

I just had to wait; then it started up alright.
But it's slower than Snow Leopard. A 3D file that took me 2:57 to render in SL takes 3:08 in ML.

Screen went black during migration from time machine backup

Just did a clean install of Mavericks on my wife's 3-year old MacBook Air. I erased the hard disk first from the Recovery drive. Then did the Maverics install. All went well. Then I started a Time Machine migration from a back up I had on a Toshiba HD. Everything started well showing about a 2 hour back up time, but about 1 hour into the migration, the MacBook screen went black. I couldn't get it to go on, so I did a hard reboot of the system. I've had to start the migration again, but not I'm concerned the same thing will happen.
Any ideas what is going on?

You can also go to System Preferences/Energy Saver and set Display sleep to never until you are done, then reset it.

I too have this same issue, on my iPhone 4s white 16GB, the screen went black during a text. It would not turn back on, I tried doing a reset (hold home and power/sleep button), but nothing. I then plugged the phone into the USB power, and then the phone starts to vibrate/buzz every 3 seconds.... I tried to resert the iPhone while plugged in...nothing... I then unpluged the iPhone and the buzzing stops...
I wonder what the buzz/vibration code is.... 1/2 sec vibration every 2.5 to 3 secs non-stop.....?
I did run the update that come out last week, other than that...no crazy apps have been installed, no jail break...just take photos, email, text and few games....

You can take it to Apple and get replaced as long as you pay for the replacement.

Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Rented movie and during playback screen went black

After about 20 hours of error messages, I was able to download a movie rental from iTunes. After watching less than half of the movie on my iPad, first the screen froze and then the screen went black. I am deployed in Iraq and have only my 1st gen iPad with me. I purchased 4 movies via iTunes however, the internet here is very bad and there were a ton of interruptions so it took almost 4 days to complete all the downloads. When I started watching one of my movies, it froze and the display went black. I to tried a restart first on the video application and then on the iPad itself to no avail. It wasn't until I reset all settings in the general tab of the systems settings did the video application start responding but if I tried to play the same move, it would do it all over again. When I go to iTunes and do a check for downloads, nothing is there however, I believe that with all the interruptions, bits were missed in the download process and iTunes simply cannot detect it. Also, if I do delete the movies in question, I will have to buy them again because the iPad hasn't been synced to my computer thus no transfer has taken place. Apple either provide a workaround for re-downloading movies free of charge to iPads or refund us our money for content that you have failed to deliver.....
