My second generation nano lost all content after I updated to the latest version of iTunes. How do I fix this?
I know that I have an old model, but I was happy with it. I have tried connecting to different computers in my house that have not updated iTunes and have not had any luch restoring to factory settings. I restored the ipod by holding menu and select buttons, but that didn't work either. I tried installing older versions and synching, but no good. I am out of ideas. My kids just tell me to suck it up and buy a new ipod.

After updating to the new version of iTunes, my iPad 2 is not being detected when I tried to sync. Any solutions?
A few things to try. Any one or a combo mayhelp
Reset your iPad.
Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. Then plug it back in and see if it is seen now.
Try a different USB port
Reboot your computer
If you have a PC:
If that doesn't fix it, go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, apple Mobile device service, apple application support.
Then redownload and reinstall iTunes. then try again. -
When I open itunes to play content I've already purchased and while attempting to view trailers for movies in the itunes store, I receive a generic error message from windows, and I'm directed to reinstall the latest version of itunes. Not a fix. Help?
after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.
Sorry, just this minute went to insert image and it is giving me a message saying this sort of content is not allowed?.
The most recent key I altered is in: HKey _local _machine. System\class - 4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318. Upper Filter data: Upper filter NTIDrvr SiRem GEARAspiWDN.
The GEARsoftware info about manually deleting GEAR drive is from:

You have no choice but to restore the phone.
However, I'm sure you've been smart enough to have backed up your data before starting the most significant update in iOS history,right? -

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11.1.5) Installed on your computer

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery... -
rigght after i got the ios 7 update i noticed everything from my icloud was on my phone i dont want all that stuff on here so i plugged it into my computer and its saying that i need the latest version of itunes i have downloaded it twice and i am still getting the same error message. So my question is how am i supposed to download the latest version of itunes if its not working. it says for a Windows computer the update is 11.0.5 but i need 11.1 what am i supposed to do ?
you dont need computer. go to settings > icloud and turn off what you dont want like photostream/calendars/contacts. for itunes 11.1 you need to go to itunes.com and download it then install it.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
I have recently upgraded my itunes to the latest version and it has deleted my current playlists and any music i have uploaded since the last upgrade. this is really frustrating as i have lost over 800 songs. and now have to redo my playlists. any suggestions on how i can fix this.

I clicked on "update all" on my apps and all updated but my TRX FORCE App. it kept asking me to retry even after I connected to WIFI and downloaded/updated to the latest itunes. Am I missing something else? This was an expensive app that I use everyday for my line of work. ??
